As far as I'm aware, all GT4 cars were supposed to be in GT5. While I'm not surprised the Model T, Mercedes Daimler Motor Carriage and Auto Union didn't make the cut, I've only just recently noticed some cars that are missing in GT5 but were included in GT4: both FPV cars, and (more surprisingly) the Hyundai Accent Rally Car. Is there a reason on why they were removed?

EDIT: Car list added. I can't be bothered searching for missing cars in previous GT games (I only have GT4, GT5P and GT5, and have played GT2). So if someone has found more cars missing and if they are verified as being so I will update this list. Thanks to Vanishing Boy and everybody else who helped compile this list up to now.

Your also missing the nike 2011 I think... And the toyota electric concept car. But this happens to every GT game there are cars missing with each new game idk. I would think it's common sense to include more cars and not take any out.

You are right. It's understandable that they left out cars that can't be raced (the Nike One and Toyota could not be used for events, the Toyota car even had two drivers or something).

You can do a list of cars that is missing in GT5, from GT1 to GTPSP, for we know what cars they are missing

I think these cars are very significant and would have loved to seem them in!
Model T, Mercedes Daimler Motor Carriage and Auto Union

That Auto Union was incredible!!!! I don´t understand why it didn´t make the cut. In fact, I believe that it would have been rather easy to even "premiumize" it. Whatever.... :(

I could make a list of every car we are miss from all previous games. It sounds like fun. I'll starting look back at GT1/2

I believe it has to do with the fact that the excluded cars from GT4 (except the FPVs and Hyundai Accent Rally Car) couldn't be raced in events.

The Caterham couldn't too but that made it in.

I could be wrong but I always thought that was because those cars were the only truly convertible/open top cars in GT4, where you saw the driver. He wasn't especially animated though, so not sure what the issue was.

Most of the standards in GT5 still have the roof up though, so there seems to be some connection?

Jaguar XJR-15 Road Car, GT40 Road Car, Lister Storm Road Car (actually that might have been from an older GT)...I miss those because much as I love race cars, road cars for me are more fun to compare :odd:

Auto Union vs Ferrari P4 vs Ford MkIv vs Jaguar XJ13 vs Ford GT40. It'd make an interesting race wouldn't it.

Technically, the others have about 30 years over the Auto Union and should own it, but I do remember the Auto Union still being pretty damn fast :)

Technically Kaz is a liar. He did say that ALL the cars from GT4 would be in GT5, in an interview.

He did not say maybe or that he would like to, he said they would be.

Personally think you are being kinda pernickety about the Tommykaira (it only changed a little and never reached the market, same can be said for the two versions of the Speed 12) and the Tank Car (what is the difference there? I don't remember the one in previous GTs being different, did Leno get two made?)

But right with you on the rest! The Vectors I always found strange but tons of character, the Venturis too, so overlooked, and the Dodge Copperhead was such an awesome car to have in the PS1 days :)

*EDIT* The little Toyotas with their waggy tails and bipolar disorder I miss less.

^ They weren't *two* versions of the Tank Car. I'm just basically giving the manufacturer Blastolene who made the Tank Car the credit they deserve (and to educate people too).

-> On the TVR's epicly-scary Speed 12 they're were actually three versions of the car:

What about the Speed 12 Racers? I think the only road legal Speed 12 still working has a racer body on it now.

Edit: Here it is

I was talking road cars but forgot there was a racing version in one of the previous games too, or do I have that wrong?

Regarding road versions, you can see the two basic body shapes in the pics above (I can't view one Tripod-hosted pic though), and I believe for the older shape there were several race cars and a part-developed road version that appeared in GT on the PS1, but i'm not sure it was completed in "real life" (I found a random pic that seems to be of the body shell outside the old TVR factory but it will break your hearts)

As for the "Cerbera" Speed 12 you see in the game now, as well as Forza, there were many successful race versions of this in GT class and a number of concept models for the road-legal version (I have an old style photo of one from the UK Birmingham motor show, in Reflex Spice I think) but I believe only two road versions were completed...there were some issues with the first (i'm sure someone can clarify what) and indeed the second used body parts from a racing model, and is the red one you can see on Youtube, This is the only street-legal Speed 12 in existence.

Peter Wheeler drove one or the other of the above and decided it was just too lairy by far so canned it, though you can't help but wonder if there were many other reasons, as it wasn't long before the marques hit a lot of problems =(

If it becomes premium that should be an RM (keep the licence plate though).
Sadly the silver one you posted's date of liability was 2007. So either it's stuffed in a Museum or scrapped :(
On a brighter note 'W112 BHG' is up to date (well 1st of this month, but the system probably hasn't been updated yet).

There's only the one car with that registration, I believe it was repainted at some point early on but I think those pics are just different lighting. Like I said, there are lots of clips of it on Youtube, but sadly mostly trundling around or being offloaded from a truck etc.
