Shameless thread bump for the new Cervo tune! New tune is pointless if it's stuck on page four o_o

But it would be much better when you put your tunes in single posts and make a link in the OP.
If you don't know exactly what I mean, check some other garages.

And some of us don't have the ability to do that easily or at all Doc.

Nice looking Cervo there Dragonthing! Welcome to pit road.

I only have one tune at the moment, I was kinda waiting until I had something substantial to split up. And have you tried this beast out yet? Managed to get a 0.55:300 on the Eifel K Car championship (limited to 420PP)

Sorry no I haven't given it a spin yet. Sorta partial to my tune of the Daihatsu Cuore/Mira TR-XX. I'll give your setup a spin in a bit though.:)

One thing just looking at your tune is you can shave a few tenths off your time by removing/not adding the rear wing. The wing costs you twice, once by adding PP that you have to make up in either HP or weight, and second in extra wind resistance/drag that costs you 1-2 mph on the longer straights at Eifel. Of course it does look cool, my original Cervo had the carbon front aero carbon hood and wing 3. The car was that sweet purple color they come in.:D

Note: You don't list if you use a turbo, I'd say with the HP your using a High RPM turbo.
Also you don't list what you have the wing set to and how you reduce PP to 420. I'm setting my wing to 5 and adding 10 kg at position 50 to reach 420PP.
Have High RPM turbo installed, everything else is as you have it listed. Will give it a run now.

I'm glad you pointed out that I missed the Turbo from my list :dunce: and I'll have a play with no spoiler, see what that does for the car :D Good luck!

Okay just ran 5 races on the Eifel K cup with Dragonthings Cervo setup.
As expected the car feels light and very responsive the mark of a good Kei car tune. It's been quite some time since I've driven this car and so my less than stellar driving skills affected my laptimes more. Was able to turn best lap times in the mid 0:57 range with plenty of room for improvement on my part.
The good parts are the transmission which helps this car accelerate very nicely and even with the added weight for PP restriction and drag from the wing I was able to get it up to 112 mph on the downhill straight. Very smooth and easy to control this would be a good choice for anyone new to the game or with limited driving skills to get sub 3 minute times on this course with.
Couple of things that I feel could be improved; With current setup the car feels like its turning on a pivot placed at the rear end of the vehicle, a personal thing but I prefer my cars to feel like they are rotating in the middle. Think this may be in part because of the extra downforce of the wing so maybe removing it would help that feeling as well. Secondly as much as I like the transmission setup I think that if it was fine tuned to be a closer match to the actual top speed the car achieves on this course it could probably shave another tenth or two off the lap times. Would aim for an adjusted top speed of around 118mph and the car should be able to reach about 114-115 mph on that downhill straight.
Overall this is a good tune for this car and a real pleasure to drive.👍👍

I wish the premium suzuki kei was the alto... Never the less this car is fun! Before I try out your tune, I want to clarify (not that it matters much) but are you using the body colored hood? Its the cf one in the pic.

@Desperado
Thanks very much for testing my tune :D I definitely see what you mean about the turning pivot, the car does feel a little odd. I shall try removing the wing to correct this. I'll try and get a slightly longer gearbox tune posted up too, I know the current one was mainly set up for Eiger and the Eifel circuit.

@Drewsifer
Completely up to you! I used one of the Enkei wheels too, but it's down to what you think looks best :D

Your very welcome Dragonthing:)

Was wondering if your getting involved in the FF Summer Shootout I'm hosting? If not I was wondering if you could help me sort out my gears as you seem to have the touch and I'm basically clueless on them.

Regardless would love to have you do a transmission job on my "Pocket Monster" Cuore/Mira tune.

Just tried out this setup online at Tsukuba Circuit. First off the handling is amazing. It delivers good grip and virtually no understeer. (I hate understeer basically more than anything so big plus there). The transmission settings were good too, providing smooth acceleration and did a good job of keeping the engine in the optional torque range. I did not notice anything too unusual with the wing fitted (set to 5). So overall very good tune however I do see some potential issues with the transmission on courses with longer straights. Keep up the good work!

I'd be very happy to help out with whatever you need :D Unfortunately I won't be able to take part in the summer shootout, I have to share both PS3s so I can't guarantee I'll ever be online

Great send me a friend request on PSN and I'll send you one of my "Pocket Monsters" set up for the Lightweight K Cup seasonals today. So you can check it out and see about tuning its transmission. Currently hits 118-119 mph on the downhill straight of the Eifel track. Think it could accelerate out of the corners a bit better though.
Also if your up to it I'll send you my FF shootout car in a day or so to have a look at its transmission.
Afraid I'm clueless on setting them up and I can't access the resources available on here because I'm only online with my cell phone. (It functions as a Mobil hotspot for the PS3.)

Oh, splendid, someone who has had a proper crack at the CERVO gearbox. I'll give your ratios a try on my little Kei Car Grinder, if you don't mind.

Great little car this one, you run as much wing as you like... :sly:

XDesperado, the shootout does not allow for the tuner to ask for help in tuning his car! By doing so you are violating the unwritten rules of the FF summer shootout, therefore your entry in said shootout is canceled :D
And yay! More kei-cars tunes, perhaps this could take part in our 'Super-Kei-car' challenge which will take place nearly straight after the FF shootout!

Uhm...AdrinaJunkie, your buddies from MFT, need I go on?
And I fully intend to give Dragonthing full credit on any tunes she helps me with.

Well……the Adrenaline Junkie is there purely because RJ's PS3 is crapped up, Leonidae helped Jackthalad to show him where to improve, but didn't do the setup for him, while you are getting the setup for the gears from someone, without changing anything! Anyways, what happened to your 'I'm Adolf Hitler and I have every right to do what I want because I'm a dictator' attitude? And there aren't really any rules to the challenge anyways :D

Excuses, excuses...Now get back to the shootout where you belong and quit spamming up Dragonthing's garage.:mischievous::lol:

I like the sound of that challenge! Maybe I should iron out my OFC-1 and stop it from understeering so bad...I love the sound of it! That should be my next upload, hopefully followed by my 200+bhp Copen :D

I love the Copen!

One of my original goals that I've been to busy to pursue lately is to get my Copen under 8 minutes on Nürburgring Nordschleife. Best so far is 8:20.xxx but both my driving and tuning skills have improved since then!

Well, just so you know, the 'super-kei-car' challenge is where you have to tune a kei car to rival a super car, hence super kei car :D So if I were you, I'd choose wisely, because whoever can lap a test track with the smallest gap between the supercar and the kei wins!

Update: Good news! My Copen tune is coming on pretty well, cornering is improving slowly despite my 'skills,' and I may have managed to improve on the premium Advan Impreza GT300 racecar :D anyone got any requests or questions?

Any chance you could send me a friend request on PSN so I could gift you one of my Daihatsu Cuore TR-XXs for a gear job? It's all set up to run sub 2:50.xxx in the lightweight Eifel race but think with a proper transmission we could shave a little more time off. Need to get it out of the corners a little faster. Probably can't get a much higher top speed on that track and still hit the corners properly though as its currently running between 118-120mph on the downhill straight after the first turn.

Just sent you the Cuore TR-XX. That's yours to keep by the way.:D Just post the transmission settings up when you get them.

Your Copen looks good. What's your time on Nürburgring with it?

No idea! :dunce: spent so much time running the first 1/4 of Nordschleife that I don't think I have completed a lap in it's final tune. And thanks very much for the car ^_^ already tried it out and it's a fun tune, trying my best to get it round as fast as it should be!

HeHe:lol: I know how it is when your tuning and not always completing laps.

Forgot to ask do you drive automatic or manual transmission? If you drive a manual you might at some point swap the high rpm turbo in the Cuore for a mid rpm turbo. It will create more HP and a lot more torque so you'll have to further limit the engine. The extra torque, and its a lot, should be good for acceleration, but you have a very peaky power curve with all that HP and torque coming on very early (around 5000 rpm I believe) and then droping off drastically to redline. It's because of the power curve that I chose the high rpm turbo for use with automatic transmission, which is how I drive.

Depends on the car really, usually I drive auto in something like the Cervo because it can drop all 7 gears in about 2 seconds. I only drive manual when the car needs it, like the Volvo S60 T-5 which actually has over 1000rpm useable above the auto shift point.
