In the current Mercedes-Benz Driving Event from the online events section of Gran Turismo, it has been noted that it is possible to shorten laptimes by driving a line that is not intended to be a part of the track layout.

Due to this, we have decided to perform an update that would adjust the areas where driving is disallowed on the Top Gear Test Track, reset the rankings, extend the event duration, and redistribute the event.

We sincerely apologise to those who have already participated in the event, and ask for your patience and understanding.

So, today there will most likely be a new patch. But will it only correct track boundaries on the Top Gear Test Track?

Erm... what?

The track as well as the boundaries are part of the game.. how on earth should they amend the boundaries without touching (patching) the game?!
 
It would be lovely if today was a patch day. It would be great if you were in the right Shirakawa.

If not today, there is still due the patch that Polyphony Digital is offering before the month is over. So each passing day is good. :)

- We have a server maintenance notice for September 21st (EU/Japan time: September 22nd)
- Another notice saying that a patch will correct track boundaries on TGTT
- Yamauchi saying that on September 22nd the Mercedes Time Trial will be reset

I think of these as strong clues that there will be a patch right after the one-hour maintenance period planned for later today (US time).

However, if the PSN won't get restored soon, I guess that the patch will be delayed.
 
Patch is out now, but the servers are down. It is a small 1.1MB patch, does not seem to do anything but effect the rules in the merc seasonal.
