Great find , thanks for sharing.👍
I will give it a go even though that i really doubt that i will get even close.

Though, I'm not sure I'll get anywhere near that time with my DS3.

He uses a steering wheel and the TC-5!the official record is 6'47 with the stock Zonda R/stock tires!he did 6?14:scared:

This is a big thing I like about GT. So we got Vettel, Loeb and now Rossi. So many World Championships between them and is amazing to see a top biker play GT5 when many gamers on this site have moved on.

I just did 6:13:628 on a ds3. Will upload a pic as soon as i get my phone from repairs.

This only prove GT5 have no true to life laptimes. In the meanwhile you better upload the repleay because a pic prove nothing. You need a stock Zonda from arcade with Race Hard tyres. In case you did it with a pad and no cheating I guess Rossi better keep testing his own Ducati instead of getting trolled by random gamepad users.

I don't doubt it, but I'll bet you used Racing Softs right? The challenge requires you to use the car stock, it comes with Racing Hards when it's "stock".

EDIT: where does it actually say we have to use Racing Hards? There's no way anyone could do that time on racing hards..

I think that they had used some thing like S2/S1 tires even soft-Comfort tires to make the record in the real life!they usually don't use a racing tires with a road car(the Zonda R is a super car,a road super car not a racing car though!).

It's not road legal.. I'm just curious what tires we can use, Racing Softs seems like the only logical guess, that time is way to fast for any lesser tire compound, even with Valentino driving.

But the Zonda R is not a street legal car, it's more a prototype, for exclusive track days event like the Ferrari 599xx and FXX. I'm not completely sure Pagani used street legal tyres. Anyway Rossi should provide more infos about his time. What tires? Driving aids? ABS? Etc..

EDIT: slow typing lol.

I'm pretty sure that Lamentino(some one calls him like that in Italy:sly:)had used R3 or R2 tires!

It comes stick with slicks, like a fezza fxx

Where does it say "stock"?
This challange is pretty flawed from the beginning, everyone want to use racing softs and pretend to have a valid time. More info needed. Also nobody mentioned if ABS is allowed or not. So yes, welcome to GT5 V.Rossi. :)

After some laps with DS3 in arcade mode (with the arcade car) with everything off, ABS=1, Racing Hard Tires, brakes 5/5, i did 6:38:xxx...i give a chance that some people with DS3 and the above settings will do it in about 6:30, sounds right?..... and i will give -10 secs to a Steering wheel user about 6:20....(even though that the lower you get the harder is to find another mSec)
I am really starting to have doubts that it is even possible to do a lap 6:14:xxx with the above settings.
Someone should tweet him and ask him about settings .....or even better tweet him
"Post a video & settings or it never happened.
P.S.Welcome to the world of Gran Turismo!"
lol

A single go at this, arcade Zonda R, racing hards, TCS 5 (that's what Rossi used?) and grip reduction on Low got me 6:30.139. With repeated goes I could shave as much as 5 seconds, 6:14 is way out of my league. EDIT: I used DS3.

With this settings except for TCS 3 with DS3, I've managed 6:28:747, but after lots of restarts because the Zonda is not an easy car to keep in track.
I think that the top DS3 guys will be able to go near the 6:21/6:22 or even 6:20 but I don't think that 6:14 is possible with this settings, not even with a wheel.

Anything is possible with a ds3

Arcade, Grip Reduction to Real, Racing Hard, NO TCS, and I think tire wear of off (accidentally) and I managed a 6:46.XXX. Not to fast, but that was my second lap and then I got off for some lunch. :)

I would love to know if this was in arcade or in practice mode free run time trial.

I just bought the zonda r and only oil changed it, driving in practice mode I did 6:42 my first crash free lap. abs 1, EVERYTHING DEFAULT on the car, tcs 5, grip reduction real and I drove with a g27 wheel.

I think I could shave down another 10 to 15 second since there were a couple areas I hit the brakes a little too soon and a couple late brakes.

I just wonder if this mean stock like I just described? Or does it mean arcade mode? Or stock as you bought it but with adjustments because this car stock has all the adjustable items like Limited Slip Diff, Transmission, aero, suspension.

I can see being faster with a slight lift of suspension and tune up of all the rest of the settings to deal with NURbumpRING, a little more aero, and a little more top speed.

EDIT I watched my replay and it's hopping and skipping all through the track and even shooting sparks out from underneath it on some spots. I'm sure I can bring lap time down in this stock form after seeing the replay, but I really question if he did it like this or with adjustments
