Or almost everytime.

I tried the race (B-spec) with only hard tires, he wants to pit, started him with rain tires... he wants to pit on the 1st lap. (Same with racing hard). I cancel the pit stop everytime.

And another thing, he keeps crashing at the same spot and he takes like 10 seconds to go from 0 to 100 after going in the sand... in a PESCAROLO !

My first try, he finished 12th with almost 5 minutes behind. I really don't know how I'll win that... for now.

PS. It rains all the time and he keeps getting his you know what whipped.

Anyone knows what strategy and/or car to use ?

Edit: I'm using a Minolta right now, tuned down to 700 pp... and same results, he crashes at the exact same spots and he's more than a minute back on the 1st place...

AND HE STILL WANTS TO PIT with rain tires when it rains...

I don't get it.

Yeah use intermediate thats what all the other cars are using and what level is your bob because it says 35+ recommended

done that.. my bob is at lvl 38..i started him with intermediate tyres after a bad experience on my first try..it started raining in lap 2 and he still wants to pit and change inters for racing hards... the surface water was around 5% already by that time....:ouch:...my car was mazda 787b

glad I'm not the only one with this problem, doesn't matter what car, what tyres, what Bob, he just can't race properly, got into 1st place on lap 9, great I thought, then at the last bit of a long straight on lap 10, he ******g brakes!! no reason, he just felt like it, letting number 2 car pass and lose the race, almost had a controller shaped hole in the TV. WTF ?!

Well my level 40 bob crashes at the same corner on the 1st lap every time! :(
He then proceeds to let the few cars he has managed to pass overtake him and then drive at 50mph for about 15 seconds. :grumpy:

Edit: 6th time lucky!! I won by 11.201 seconds. Pitted on lap 3 and 9 and shouted at my tv a lot. ;)

Can't decide if the 6 millions credits was worth wanting to smash my tv and playstation up 👎

Its cool if you want anger the entire fanbase with a cheap race. A race so cheap I am actually thinking of getting rid of the game. Really PD? Next time you have a bad day and wanna take it out on your fans makes us race a Fiat against a fgt in a-spec. This is so pathetic.

Oh c'mon...Giving up GT5 because you can't win a B-Spec race it's just ridiculous.

There's allways a way to win B-Spec races. You're probably not using the right car for that track. What car are you using? What tires? What tune?

I haven't tryed yet but i'll do it later, but i bet it's not that hard.

I had this happen on Spa too last night. I just kept telling him no dont pit and kept going. I was using the au Supra with my tune and Intermediate tires. My bob I used is level 39 and won by almost 1.5 minutes...

It says its expert level bspec. I guess thats why you have to keep interacting with it.

Driver Hamilton, Spa car Nimso Z, Le-sarthe car Toyota GT One. Left my driver to his own and he walked both races, no encouragement needed.

All my "bobs" are level 40 and my main one has 392 wins, my #2 Bob got 295 wins, and everytime, it's the same thing:

I've tried 4 times and finished in 12th place (well 3 times, I hit the quit button, it was too painful).

So believe me, you'll be working hard on that B-Spec, good luck letting your bob alone and expecting him to win. I've tried 4 times and everytime, he crashes at the same spot, and he wants to pit everytime on the 1st lap, rain tire (in advance) or not.

That B-Spec is, as we speak, impossible for me right now.

With intermediate tires and by watching him, he actually manage to get the first place... to finally crash and take like 20 seconds to get back to 200 km/h.

I feel like it's bugged and/or impossible (La Sarthe).

(I'll try the Toyota GT-One later and see how it goes).

I started with RH tires in the Pescarolo Courage. As the rain increased I pitted with the AI and changed to intermediate tires. I was swapping 1st/2nd with the AI on laps 8/9. On the "almost" final lap the ai pitted and my bob followed. I wasn't watching the pit indicator or I would (should) have turned it off.

For some reason he changed back to RH tires and could not keep up after that with the #1 AI. I had 4 other AI pass me on the last lap. They must have changed to fresh intermediate tires and my bob defaulted to RH.

Oh well. That was my first try. I will be trying again tonight. I wonder how random the weather is going to be each time I start the race.

If it's the same I will be doing the same things except for not pitting on the last lap. I'll have bob chill out and take it easy on the worn intermediates.

:)

Er, it's not like you have to complete it. There's TT's, drift, A spec and B spec, in fact something for everybody. I fail to see how anyone could be legitimately indignant about it.

Look at your "Pit Strategy" area. There should be a button to the right of the area where you give your Bob his marching orders, and it's labeled "Pit Strategy"; click it, and it will ask what tires you want at your next pit stop (mine defaults to Racing Hards, so I had to change that to Intermediates). Above that, it has a setting for "Pit Strength Level" or some such - that's the setting that tells Bob when to pit. Set it to "OFF", and it should stop trying to pit him at the first sign of tire wear. With mine set to "OFF", Bob didn't want to pit until Lap 8 at Spa - and I made him stay out another lap just because...

Haven't done LeMans yet, but the Spa event I pitted once (Lap 9) and still won easily by over 55 seconds in the Nomad Diablo @ 600pp.

The trick to my particular Bob is to keep his hot/cool "anger" level from going above about 75% (figure the blue on the left is "0% angry" and the red at the right of the meter is "100% angry"). Above 75%, he starts making rookie mistakes (he's a Level 40 Bob) - going wide, hitting the gravel, going into the grass, passing on the outside in the rain, etc. Keep him semi-cool, and he'll nail it pretty easily.

Now I've got to go spend 6,000,000cr or so to make room under the cap for more Bob-money. :)

I tried a Peugout 905, Audi R8 & Minolta 88C-V, various level 40 drivers and wasted the whole day trying to beat Le Sarthe with no luck, best I can get is 2nd.
It's beginning to remind me of B-Spec Historic Racing Car Cup - maybe I should try the Chapparal 2J..

if you win a race and try again... you'll earn money again?

I don't know yet :(

If my dum bass knew how to nurse tires on lap 10 he would've won from 4th when the AI pitted.

Kwicko
So they say. A few have posted that they have run it more than once, and won money each time. Could be a handy new grind race...

It takes 40+ minutes of anguish, aggravation, and possible massive disappointment. There is no sure way to win this. Not a good grind race.

Uh...my story is similar to all the above. Thing is, I never got to final lap:
1st try with Courage C60: Fail
2nd try with Bentley Speed 8: Fail (car is too slow)
3rd try with Pescarolo C60 Hybride: Fail (apparently lvl 38 Bob cant drive on rain with RH tires, I was doing max 75 km/h on turns)
4th try: Is going live right now, im in lap 8th in 6th position, 1st car must be....oh maybe a couple of minutes ahead, so another fail.

Quitting for now.....

Yes that's true. Thought it was going to be fixed ASAP by PD so grinded to 20M on Spa last night. LOVE IT!

If you want an almost certain victory, use a 2J on sports softs. Unlike race hards, sports softs can handle the wet stuff too and can last the full 10 laps with room to spare. So, don't pit at all and let the opponents do their usual 2-stop nonsense.

It's a cheap method though.

On both tracks?

Yes, we may be able to not stop to pit, but wont the 2J steer a lot worse and be a lot slower than the opponents? I think it wont even be able to overtake the CLK GTR and the R390.....?

Just Sarthe. For Spa you can pretty much use any of the new SuperGT cars and win with a huge margin.

Nope. You'd be surprised how well the 2J goes and turns. The only cars that'll really give the 2J trouble is the R8 and those Pescarolo things, but they have to pit twice remember, so they don't have much of a chance to pass you.

I tried the Chaparral 2J and it worked! If you don't mind racing in the dark (it has no headlights), the driver still manages to stay on the track, but needs a little prodding to keep up to the pack. Raced on intermediates after the second lap pit stop and stayed that way to the end, because on the ninth lap, everyone ahead of me pitted, leaving the track clear. I won handily, although I had to push my B-Spec driver (some call him Bob, to me, he is simply a stooge) into the red constantly to make sure he kept up. It's worth a try, especially for a 6 million pay-out...

Really? Hmm....I will give it a try, not a big fan of cheating though. 6 millions cr. per race are not bad at all.

EDIT: Since you're here, I might as well thank you for all the great tunes, there's a big difference in online racing now for me.
:)

Yeah if you'd rather win in a more honest fashion then the 2J isn't for you. With each race taking 40 minutes though, there's only so many restarts one person can stand before wanting to just win at any cost. I would've rather won with my 787B but 2 hours later with no wins is a bit... :indiff:
