Doing La Sarthe with the 2J. At first, I thought, "No way in hell this will work. Then as I soon as I got into first place, I said, "No 🤬 way."
Victory is within my grasp, by a rather large margin.

really? i did a few laps in the 2J and i was thinking the same so i quit. did you do any mods to the 2j? I did every single upgrade and I only got about 650PP. thats 50 less than the others....how does it work?

it works!!! 2J in La Sarthe. 40min. Fastest lap of 3:47, but running constantly 4;04. I won by a good margin but only because they pitted at lap 3 and 9 and not me.

2J at 782hp, 653pp

Sport soft tires.

Smart... Sport Soft = Rain doesnt matter

2J = 3 speed + the Fan Downforce ... so less tire wear

the only thing I wonder is how the heck does Bob see in the dark (Military Night Vision maybe?!?!) :scared:

Thanks BTW 👍

I won in an Audi R8 '01 by about 35 seconds. Using 2 Level 34 bobs.

If you want an almost certain victory, use a 2J on sports softs. Unlike race hards, sports softs can handle the wet stuff too and can last the full 10 laps with room to spare. So, don't pit at all and let the opponents do their usual 2-stop nonsense.

It's a cheap method though.

Many thanks for this tip; worked brilliantly, even for my L25 Bob (who's now at Level 29 after this race!)

Won it by around 45 seconds. Easy money.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for it.
Some kind of vocal indicator like Bob saying 'Going to pit now'
and player (pressing command) responding ' Oh hell noes... drive on biatch ' would be better imo.

Definitely. I'd love it if they let us know when the other drivers were pitting in as well.

Ok just won this race almost a minute ahead of the pack in time of 39mins & 40secs, pitting twice. :) Car I used:

Audi R8 (TeamPlaystation).

Use RH tyres then pit at the end of lap 3 and change to RI tyres. Also change your Bspec driver as you need to maintain strength & mentality for the duration of the race.
Keep a steady control over your driver making sure the bar indicator is not too far in the red but ideally around the centre mark.
RI tyres will last up until the end of lap 9 but you must pit. Do not try continuing the race with these old set of tyres, the tyre wear will cause a massive reduction in speed with too much wheel spin. Change tyres keeping them as RI.

You will have a comfortable lead by this stage so take it easy for the final lap :)

With this strategy I was in 1st place when exiting the pits at start of lap 4! Maintained 1st place til finish. It's that easy!

I'd also advise modifying the gear ratios to increase top speed through the entire range, so in other words don't tamper with individual gears just increase the overall setting for the gears to approx 30mph higher than the default setting. This change is vital for overtaking on the long straights when in the other cars slipstream.

If you're grinding for cash the Spa race you can complete in 25mins for 4M with 200% multiplier. Less messing about aswell, you can pretty much leave your Bspec driver to it but keep him on the pace don't let him get too relaxed.

Goodluck :)

Great tip on the 2J/sports soft, whomever thought of it first. 👍
Yet to give it a go (later tonight) but my 4 attempts so far (2 different cars) have proved fruitless...:(
Not helping that my "Bob's" are only Lv-23 and 25....Really need to work them harder.

9th and two 12th's were my best, bailing on the last attempt.

Thé Sauber Merc was a fail. High top speed but lost everything in the last corner section. But it stayed on track.
Second attempt in an Audi R8 (01) was easy although Bob crashed in the first lap. I used very low wing settings to get a high top speed and blast by everyone on the straights.

Love these races. Best b-spec so far. But I don't necessarily have to win :)

With the Audi R8 (01) it was a walk in the park even though Bob crashed in the first lap. I used relatively low wing settings to gain high top speeds on the straights.

Best B-spec races so far. Love them. But I don't necessarily have to win unlike most of you here :)

/sorry double post :/

This race is ****, my bob wants to pit every damn lap, I cannot win gaaaaaah! Whats the best car to use?
Well, as said: take the 2J, Sport Soft, Downforce -10/-10, max. Speed to 400 kmh/250mph.

My Bob took over the lead (was on 4th I think) in lap 3 or 4 when everybody entered the pit and never lost it again; AI eventually pitted again in lap 10 ... I think I had to cancel Bob's will to pit only once or twice (at the end of the race). I was using only one lvl 37 Bob; after 10 laps there was enough tyre and fuel left, but Bob's mental constitution as well as strenghts was fully depleted.

It works with the 2J and sports soft. He won by 20 something seconds. Now I wonder if Bob can win without any help.

PS. He never wanted to pit at all. My Bob is level 40 with almost 400 wins.

The pack order makes a hell of a difference, doesn't it? On one race with the CLK-LM, the lead six cars were all bunched up covered by about 2 seconds making them easy prey on the pitstop. On another my Bob finished 4th, 33s down on the leaders despite going 5s quicker! A run with a TS020 GT-One saw Bob run nearly a minute quicker but only winning by 0.8s from the Bentley that started out in the lead (2s further back was a Pescarolo, previously seen schlepping round in 7th and backwards through Porsche Curves.

Incidentally, with the 200% bonus, Bob gets 1,000,000XP for winning this...

That would be Roj from RKM Motorsports in the GT5 Tuning Forum.

There's only six options in the B-Spec command box. Decrease pace, Maintain pace, Increase pace, Pass, Pit in and Cancel Pit in.

Don't forget to set your Pit Strategy so his Pit In Strength is 0 - any higher and he'll come into the pits when he's tired...

I will try the 2J. Yesterday, I tried with the Peugeot 908 and as I started lap 10 I passed 2 cars to go 2nd and was flying after the leader about 3s ahead. Then my tyres gave up in dramatic fashion and I finished 10th with a final lap of 5'51. Heart breaking!!!

I have a question about something which seems to affect my drivers regardless of what car I use (tried the 908, 787B and GT-One so far, I'm loading up the 2J right now). Why is it that regardless of the situation on the lap, when you're at the corner at the bottom of the straight, your driver will carry about 70mph too much into the corner, going straight into the sand? Better yet, why then after this has happened does the driver insist on driving with two wheels on the grass for about the next 500 yards, going at 50 mph? And this is without any cars near him on the track. Verrrrrry annoying.

So I have to hit cancel every time I come near pit entry? I mean I never know when he's going to pit...

When he's going to pit, his pit-in indicator lights up yellow. It's just above his mood bar, next to his helmet. Can't miss it. You need to cancel it and have the timing bar reach zero (the little blue three-quarter circle that counts down to when you can give your next instruction) before he reaches the pit entry.

He's crap, angry or on the wrong tyres (or any combination thereof). Use a good Bob (Lv35 or higher), keep his mood in the middle and when the surface water is above 25% and rising or falling and above 40% use Intermediate tyres - if it's not, use Hards.

My Lv38 Bob has only visited that sandtrap once in 60 laps. A Pescarolo '05 smashed him into it.

My Bob also visited the sandtrap once, I have to thank a Bentley Speed 8 for that....and he is 38 lvl. Race in the 2J seems more easy, but not legit...

i need to know what time tomorrow close on the le sarth de cirucit on 31st saturday? if so i go get new control pad in argos tomw morning.

Any idea?

thank guy

intermediates at the start ? the first 2 laps the track humitety is 0 - 20ish procent. u burn the intermediates away ? no?

start on race hard and pit in end of lap 2 for intermediates (third lap your faster than the rest couse thay have hard tyres still so u pass the most at the pit lane since there is no traffic in front of you)
make your second stop at end of lap 7 :P no use for a pit in the last lap ...

The automatic pitstops is becouse bob wants other tyres :)

I beat this race a few hours ago. What you do is start with Racing Hard, then after it starts raining around lap 3-4 your Bob as well as the other opponents will all want to pit to switch to Intermediate tires. I got to first place right after the first and only pit stop I had to make in the race. No need for rain tires here.

The last 5 laps I just left my Bob alone as he put about 30-40 second lead between him and the following car, which was more than enough to win the race.
