I was hoping to get some opinions as to which rim people with the CSR Elite wheel were most looking forward to.

Re Thomas's quote;
"For the CSR Elite wheel we will introduce the Formula rim for sure and depending on the success of this add-on we will release a GT rim as well. The electronics of the CSR Elite wheel are limited so we cannot have a proper quick release, rev light indicators, analog joystick, encoder switches or the same amount of buttons like on the CSW rims. The CSR E rims have to follow exactly the same specs as the original wheel.

So please let me know what you want and we will do our best to deliver those rims in the next years."

It looks like we will be very lucky if we see more than 2 rims, maybe even only 1, so I think it would be a good idea to have a vote on which style should be released first.

It is clear that design and materials will be limited, so please make it a simple reply so that counting can easily be done if/when the time comes.
For e.g.

GT Style rim in Alcantara
or
GT Style rim in Leather
or
Formula Rim

We know Thomas listens to us, so this might make a difference.

EDIT

PLEASE DO NOT VOTE FOR THE RALLY STYLE RIM

#72 from Thomas at Fanatec:
A Rally style rim will definitely not happen so perhaps it would make sense to delete that choice in order to get more realistic results.

GT style in full Alacantra like the CSW BMW rim.

This talk of a Formula option only at this point and basing decision on a GT style on the success of that wheel is nonsense.

It's been beaten to death that the stock wheel is a hot point for many. I don't think I'm going out on a limb assuming that if people had only one choice of wheel to replace it the GT style will be the overwhelming choice.

I do not like the cheap rubber on the Fanatec Elite wheel but I like the rubber feel of the T500. I find leather too spongy and as far as Alcantara goes it's like a cheap polyester suit.

So a good rubber GT rim and they would have a winner. Please Fanatec don't release a $100 piece of junk.

Perhaps I should talk to Porsche and tell them to replace the Alcantara they use on their most expensive cars against rubber.
Looks like you have a very special taste but i am sure that even for you we will find a matching rim ;)

Hmm, you seem to like Derek Speare's idea Here

did somebody in this thread seriously ask for a rubber rim?

seriously?

anyway, I want a leather GT rim, preferably a replica of the porsche 918 RSR's wheel. that, in my mind, is the perfect wheel. I'd also like a full alcantara wheel and a formula wheel, but the leather GT wheel is first and foremost for me.

Id rather wait for thomas to start a pole, somehow i think he's already got his mind made up, so i'll bite: Generic Formula Rim with external shift light indicator add-on ability.

I like the current rim and probably won't buy another unless it's pretty special and I'm not sure what that would be.

No doubt the selected rims will be what the majority of the community are after.

Suggestions:
Improved d-Pad, illuminating buttons but with on/off switch, adjustable position paddles like CSW and rubber backed paddle shifters to reduce "metal on plastic dong sound".

A nice GT style rim, I would prefer leather, but Alcantara would be ok too. Diameter a little larger than the current rim.

The main thing I want is a GT rim which matches the quality of the CSR Elite Base.

No current interest in a formula rim, but I may try one later.

Yes, some have better ideas than mines, so I want that too :)
