Race Procedure:
Scheduled time is arrival time to begin qualifying
15 minute qualifying duration (approximately time for 3-4 timed laps)
all cars stay on track until race start to preserve position
Grid Start, Fastest First

Rules:
GTP OLR Rules

• Please familiarize yourself with these rules prior to the event.
• You are expected to behave like sporting gentlemen at all times. Dirty driving is absolutely forbidden.
• If you cause a contact, you must make contact concessions. ie: no bump-passing
• Failure to make contact concessions will result in a post-race penalty concession. (ie: you will be placed below that racer in the results)
• Caution must be exercised when re-entering the track after an off-road excursion caused by any reason.
• Carless driving, recklessness, & aggressive risky maneuvers may result in post-race penalties, and will certainly result in your fellow racers being ill tempered.
• Retaliation, "payback", & monkey-see-monkey-do rule flouting will not be tolerated.
• The in-game penalty system is switched to off to prevent ghosting, with the understanding that GTPlanet racers do not need the in-game penalty system to follow posted track rules. Shorting the track is strictly prohibited, (must have 2 wheels on the tarmac)
• In case of any incident involving a crash or rule violation, please review the replay before drawing conclusions. Note the time and location of the incident. Try dialogue with the other driver first with Private Messaging. You may report the incident via Private Messaging, with details, in a timely manner (ie: soon after the race), if warranted, so an appointed steward &/or the race director may review the incident.

Race will be hosted in the MCRC Lounge,

Note: This account is just the club lounge account. It will rarely be signed on.
Get the FR in a.s.a.p. to assure acceptance in advance of racing.
In order to check the league lounge, you must click on the coffee cup,
and wait for the room content list to present.
No yellow people icon will show, even when the room is full.
Also please note that all club communication should be done through GTPlanet,
and not directed toward the PSN acct, as nobody checks messages there often, if at all.

Toscana Lagunitas Kei Track is now currently shared on PSN: VCRC

I should mention that we've been running this track on a regular basis in the Lo PP Shuffle, and it's quite popular. It's perfectly suited to low power cars, and it's interesting, yet not at all ridiculously difficult. It's actually got a nice rhythm & not difficult to get the hang of. It's got everything EXCEPT inclines. The elevation change is almost non-existent. Which is great when you're below 150hp.

@ John Wells : I'll send you a car probably tomorrow sometime (when I can send again).

@ turbogeit : It's sure a low power car. I'll check tomorrow & post my hp & pp. I got mine in the OCD a few weeks ago, so it's zero miles but broken in engine, and I did an oil change.

I have 3 spares, if anyone needs. I'm positive 2 out of the 3 spares are either zero or very low mileage, and the 3rd probably fairly low mileage. So if it turns out anyone's stuck with a high mileage jalopy & short on horsepower, I will try to provide a more lightly used specimen.

real slow car this ^^ tried it a bit yesterday and yeah well there's no overstear in sight at least.. but it should make for tight racing

My car:

Yeah I haven't had any 'problems' with oversteer.
Though on the upside, it doesn't have real painful understeer either.

The Punto Abarth is also kind of nice to drive on this track, but I went with the Barchetta because it's got a cooler name, and it's a cabriolet.

Great track this, really flowy and fun. What would be a good time with these cars? 2:40.0?

Yes, we are

The car looks fine and my favorite Swede is in, but can't do a Friday race, Monday only.

Yes, wheels & painted wheels are allowed.
Engine & chassis refresh, oil change allowed.

Time progression will be set at 3, with the track being set to 18:00 at start time to start qualifying. This will mean that we will be racing into the dark... or at least there will be fireworks the last couple laps.

My best time so far has been upper 2:40.x
My average times are usually more around upper 2:41.x or lower 2:42.x
Of course when I've run some tests doing the 15 laps, including a pit... I do get tire wear about 9 laps in, and when that happens I start flubbing into the 2:44.x range.

But it should be noted that I'm not much of a hot lapper. My ability to do well in a race is completely dependent upon attrition.


IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT TIME PROGRESSION TESTING IN LOUNGES:
There's some kind of a problem right now with time progression in lounges/lobbies. When you load the track, load it at time progression 3. Then, open up the track selection screen AGAIN, and just hit "okay", changing nothing, to reload the track.
If you don't do this, then when you start a race it will get dark ridiculously fast, because of this glitchy problem. But if you reload by just hitting okay, it fixes it.
