The engine is the same for the most part.2) Did anyone else notice the jagged edges made by the smoke around 11-13 seconds in, maybe it's just from that particular camera / track / car angle but I thought this was supposed to have been fixed?
I presume that it's evidence enough that it isn't anywhere close to being the final code of GT6. We're still at least four, or possibly five, months off and people were saying that the "demo" shown at the 15th anniversary event and E3 were somehow evidence that GT6 would have great inconsistencies in the sound, visual and even some people mentioned the physics department - not just those ISR guys.OMG that is epic! Made me laugh so frickin hard![]()
The demo AI is a placeholder for the real final AI
Since when did a Spielberg-made character care about vidjya games? I highly doubt that Sloth had anything to do with this horrific AI fault.Even if sloth from the goonies didn't program that.that is still funny

Ahem, great satire. I saw JackC8jackofalltrades mention in a comment somewhere on another site state, "Wait for all the replies that'll say it's an early version of the game uhherherdurrr..."
Mhmm.
He only mentioned that about the sounds. The AI isn't anywhere near to how developing the sound effects are done over time.except that Kaz has mentioned that the AI, just like the sound effects are all place holders in the demo. Someone had posted the part of the interview somewhere, just can't go out of my way to find it.

Seriously though, no, you're not exactly right about that. Partly about the AI, yes, but it doesn't work that way.
I didn't say it wasn't under development. You are wrong. He actually did mention AI is under development for GT6.
GTP: The artificial intelligence of the other drivers, will that see any changes or improvements in GT6?
KY: “Like the sounds, that is something that we’re rebuilding for GT6. It won’t be the same as GT5.
“In addition to the things we’ve already announced, like the new rendering engine, the new physics, suspension, and handling modeling, the AI and the sound simulation is something that we are working on.
“As with pretty much everything in the game, we are going back to the basics and rebuilding it. We don’t know when the results of all that effort will come out yet, but of course, it’s not going to be the same as GT5.
“I know there were some rumors that the sound for GT wasn’t recorded with the engine under load. That was actually true until GT4 was produced, but for GT5 all of the sounds that we’ve taken were from cars that were on a dynamometer and placed under load.
“That’s not the whole of the problem, though, and obviously that’s not good enough for GT6 and for the future. We’ve been working on a new system for generating sounds for a few years now, we just haven’t made that breakthrough yet, and we’re still working. That’s what we’re aiming for – to make that breakthrough – so that we have something of a high quality to show.
“In terms of physics we were able to show that, but for sound simulation, not yet.”
AI is not too smart, seems to be strictly following an imaginary line.
If they where any smarter they get off their car and beat the cr@p out of the guy driving the other way, that's what i would do in IRL.
There must be a reason behind this, they could have used GT5 AI and be slightly better off. My speculation is that they are using bare bones AI for this demo since time trials would be the basis of the competition anyway. hmmm.
