Highest Speed in Your Supras???

My goes 280. my friend that lives in California. he makes his cars good with gear setting and his supra goes like 290 or higher.
 
At first i was getting 230-240 then messed around with gear ratios now itz going 277 and wants MORE but the track finishes for the max speed thing lol, i will test it on the whole track and tell you the speed by the way when i am going 260mph+ the car gets VERY VERY hard to control it turns very light and if i tap the direction it moves that way to sensitively any ways i can change that???? thanks :)
 
I got mine to do 294.22mph. I think it'd be pushing it to manage any more without a load of luck as well though, because that's obscenely fast for a road car!

I'm not running outta road, thats just as fast as it goes!

lol i got my supra to 360km/h... lol i thought that was fast. well im assuming everyone here likes supra's, did anyone ever get a 97' RZ with 10km's on it? cuz im wondering if they even exist
 
Hmm... My '97 RZ had about 20,000mi on it... Maybe if you checked the Used Car Lot every game-week you could come across one... (It's 6.2mi on a lucky "good as new" used car, btw)
 
I haven't modified my Supra, yet, but I do have something useful to add to the thread..

Just checked my UsedCarsGuide (if you ain't PAL, go to Hell! haha)

10 km or 6.2 mi Supras come around once per cycle in the 69th week or:

1st: Days 477-483 from July 22
2nd: Days 1177-1183 from June 22
3rd: Days 1877-1883 from May 22
4th: Days 2577-2583 from April 22

Excellent! Nice one man, and I agree to your PAL-favourness! Now I just need to wait until day 1177 for a nearly-new Supra... :( oh well
 
How are you hitting 290 mph with 20k miles on the Supra? I maxed out the settings and tweaked the gears as much as possible, with a little nitrous I only managed 278 mph. I have 22k miles on mine.

Do I detect a hint of jealousy/disbelief from you, Physics? I will admit to having used NO2 to maximum effect, which I don't really approve of in a race but for speed only... :P

All else I will say is that the gears are not the only path to speed... </WiseManMode>
 
I'v hit 290 in my Supra, Using nitrous... widest gear box and settings... with about 16,000 miles on it... or along those lines... when you first buy it. Wash it and change the oil and it will be as good as new.
 
I know that if you change the oil it returns the car's engine performance to nearly-new, so thats why I didn't do it ;) ! I wanted to see if I could get a used road car to 300mph, and I can't :(... Yet! Doesn't mean I'll stop trying though!

What exact speed did you get, Cheezman?
 
congratulations cheezman.......you've beaten me too.

you needn't hurry dark elite....... no stress!! i'm working on my supra and maybe i could also drive over 290mph.....

Oh! Sorry if it does sound that way, secrecy is not intended! Seeing as I race motorbikes I'm usually quite reluctant to let my tuning methods go around much, but try this - Lower the suspension spring rate to as low as possible, minimize the downforce and maximise the NO2 strength. That's not all there is, but see if you don't find an improvement!
 
heh... No problem, if that doesn't get you there I'll see what else I can come up wih for you. Keep trying everyone, we wanna smash 300 in a road car! :D

im gonna try it now. can we change the oil? ill see what tips i can bring back for you guys. gonna try pick myself one of them 10k supra's hehe

EDIT: here are two pictures of some of my supra's, the black supra has bmw alloys and around 380bhp, and the red one has just under 850bhp. real nice cars just thought id share em with you all :) :


 
right i finally tested the supra and managed to get 295mph but i feel i could get it to 300mph if i modified the gear ratios a little. also, does anybody recommend some suspension settings for the test ring? thanks alot.
