As you may or may not know, GTPlanet Super Moderator Kent lives just outside New Orleans, which has been devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Kent is a highly active user here involved in our Weekly Race Series and I am sure that many of you know him well. Kent informed us just before the storm hit that he was going to stay in his home and ride out the storm. We have not heard anything from him at this point. I have kept a sharp eye on news reports from his area, and unfortunately they are very grim. Please remember Kent and his family, along with all others affected by Hurricane Katrina, in your prayers.

I will. I didn't know that he chose to stay put, instead of evacuating. I hope he's OK...........

Yes, I hope for the best Kent, your family and for the rest of you caught in this terrible event.

Oh man, if he stayed, OK, we need to get some serious prayer going here!

My thoughts and atheist hopes are with Kent and all of those caught up in the storm. Hopefully Kent will come back to us soon - as soon as they get the power on, that is.

I sincerely hope that Kent and his family are OK... Watching the news here in the UK, it's hard to imagine what so many people in the region must be going through. Let's hope Kent gets back online soon to let us know he and his family are safe.

I didn't know he stayed, I'm not sure if that was wise, but I sincerely hope that he and his family survived.

Kent, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I hope that you are all OK and get through this.

He won't be posting for a while, whether he's well or not :indiff:

Hope you're well. 👍

He should Spray paint 'HELP' and 'GTP' on your roof, it's bound to make the news like the other one.

I don't usually pray that much but will surely remind Kent and his family for the coming days. Oh man, I never realised the magnitude of this disaster until this morning. Life can be pretty bitter.

Wow. I sincerely hope Kent is ok, I didn't know (like others) he chose to stay instead of evacuating. The reports haven't sounded too good for those who rode out the storm because of the rising waters :(

I hope he is well. Not the religious type, but I hope he can post here, kick some ass in the WRS, post in the randomness of anime thread, and in general, be a good guy.

Hope you are ok and your friends and family... there isnt much more you could say..... such a devastating event...

This kind of thing makes me sad. I really hope that Kent and his family and everyone else out there made it through. My thoughts are with you..

Good luck Kent. Very brave of you to try and sit it out. I hope everything works out.

I'll be thinking of you, your family, and all others affected by this disaster.

We certainly hope for the best for him.

Remember that just because we don't hear from him does not mean that something has happened to him. Virtually all forms of communication in and out of the area are nonexistent. Even if he and his family are completely unharmed, and their home is intact, it could well be weeks before we hear from him. The situation is that bad.

Our thoughts are with him, and all the countless others down there.

Staying doesn't sound like such a good idea ... in retrospect.

But if he lived just outside of New Orleans he might have been high enough at least. Anyway, we can only wait here for news and hope for the best!

Good luck bro.
