GT4 Photomode 2.0 Advanced ​

Higher quaility. Harder to win. Can you make the top ten?​

Week 4 winner franz​

This week’s competition will be "Racing Competition" as chosen by week 4 second place, sprite. (by request from franz)​

Further explanation of theme:

Cars: Any race cars. No tuner cars.
Tracks: Any track

All cars in the image have to have a racing paint job and there must be two or more cars in shot.

Winner will select the top 10 for the poll and pick the theme for the following week.
Post your final entry in red letters. Such as “FINAL ENTRY”
A preview image may be used, but it may be no bigger than 300*400 pixels by either photo orientation.
You may have two honorable mentions if a preview image is not used.
Do not use an entry from a previous competition.
Only one entry may be submitted, and it must be uploaded using Imageshack and have the thumbnail picture.

Crop
Resize
Levels
Brightness/Contrast
Hue/Saturation
Blur filters
Noise filters
Sharpen filters

Tools:
Type tool
Sharpen tool
Burn tool
Dodge Tool
Blur tool
Clone Stamp Tool (for removing watermark)

[Note:No plug-ins for any of the above adjustments or filters are to be used]​

You can use layers for overlay and layer adjustments, but not to alter the geometry and original subject matter of the picture: like adding stickers and body kits, and objects that are not in the original image​

Deadline for week 6 is September 17th​

Ken...that's beautiful. Very well-done.

Spyker, you should've entered that one in the regular PMC, that's got a ridiculous sense of speed *edit* Nevermind, I see it wouldn't be legal

It just reminded me of a few of your shots that have had the "daylight" altered and that "glow" to it...

In one of the amarican series, theres a shelby series1 that has a bad case of negative camber (computer car) its really extreme.

What in the name of god are you talking about???!?. If you were really out there at the track you'd had more then one shot that works with this theme, since you were at a RACEtrack, like you said.

Very nice shot though. (and the one with the cars in it too )

Although... the composition is sliiiightly bothering me. You'd figure a realistic race photo would be a bit more centered on the car. And if it isn't, it would rather show more of the tarmac than the off-track part... no?
(Unless ofcourse you include grandstands in your shot (there's a perfect spot to do this, on the passing of the start, going into the 2nd lap at the Motegi Oval, zoom all the way out when it's showing the high camera for a while))

But still a great shot ofcourse 👍

Ok we all know that it's a pic from GT4. I was just trying to put a little more fun into it instead of just posting "final entry" like I always do. Also I had many shots that worked with the theme, but I'm only allowed to have one entry. I didn't realize though that if I put a little story like that it would be picked apart. I WAS JUST HAVING FUN!!! Guess that's the last time I'll have fun on these boards.
