*RACE DETAILS*
Arcade Mode / City Courses / 2 laps
Quick Tune +20 hp and -10 weight
Everyone must Set AI Difficulty to +5
Choose any tyres you like for your own car, but the AI must be on R5/SS tyres!
Autospeed Settings + ASM + TSC are optional



*RULES*
All Drivers must save the replay of their submitted time!
*NO WALL CONTACTS whatsoever!*
Keep AI contacts to a maximum of 3 touches ... 'SIDE BY SIDE' paint rubbing is ok
No big AI contacts or you must restart!
During each race only sectors will be discussable ..
No Full Laps or Total Race times to be discussed!
*Verification from the Top 5 drivers is required in every round *



*SUBMITTING*
Send both laptimes and the overall race time to me via PM
I wont open any PM's until the final day!as long as they are Titled correctly!
Please Title your PM like this example: S.O.T.B-R1-'your name'
Results and the next Round will be posted on the same day
Deadline = Saturday 15th October @ 4am GMT+1

Had a few minor AI hits, but nothing you wouldnt see in real life racing.

I had AI on R5's is that correct? with no tire wear.
 
I edited in one more rule to the race guys sorry ... I wont add any more :)

  1. Do you need to actually WIN to submit your time - or is finishing last an option ? :grumpy:
  2. Does a Celica with cold carbon brakes ramming you from behind count as AI contact ? :grumpy:

[Edit:] I can't BELIEVE how sticky sticky rubber (R5/SS) is.. It feels like the car is glued to the road.. DAMN :D

[Edit2:] Why does GT4 decide to pitch us against a bunch of washed-up rally cars ? :odd:

Yes you can submit a run that finishes in any position even last ... just as long as it crosses the line at the end of lap 2 👍

No .... as long as its on the backend of the car and not the rear side of the car or it would be counted as a contact.

The AI difficulty puts different opponent cars against you! ... say I chose AI+6 then you would see a tougher line up by far, I thought they were just a bit too much for everyone to finish in 1st place .... check it out for a nosey .. they are pretty damn tough +6 through to +10 :sly:
 
another second off my final time, partly due to a better AI combo but mainly me just running faster for the whole 2 laps.... only 2 contacts. Ive passed 1st place before T2.

1 hour session today, not at all happy with my time.
L1:
T1: 38.042
T2: 1'13.417

L2:
T1: 30.246
T2: 1'05.637

Completed this race pretty early in my session. Did have a run .3s faster but i dirtied it on the final corner.
On the rest of my first laps, i saw, on average, T1 of 37.7s and T2's of 1'13.2.
Didn't get to see many second laps, but T2's were usually 1'05.5.
On hot laps i've seen T2's of 1'05.1 so a 1'05.5 is a major disappointment to me.
Might not get to spend much more time on this with midterms coming up in the next 2 weeks.
 
First clean run (no AI hits):

37.721 / 30.270
1'13.299 / 1'05.618

Top Speed was standard, might lower that a bit. Think I picked the wrong AI line up though...
 
same for me my first banker (no AI hits)

L1 - 37.866 / 1'13.855
L2 - 30.520 / 1'06.326

A clean save will do for now ... I will work on fast later :D

looks like I'm only .6 down per lap so far :)

Fun race but a little hard for me. :( :lol:

Didn't catch the first lap but it was surely slow. Second lap was slow as well but not too slow. :D
Something in the 1'06.8 area. :sly:

Nothing great yet but I'm enjoying the combo, which is why I'm racing. 👍
Personally, I'm more interested in finding out what sort of races my friends enjoy than the competition. :cool: :lol:

(just a good excuse for bad racing :lol: )

Back later on when I get some extra laps in.

i got to find some time to do this race... WRS, JGTC and this, i´m packed :dopey:

now with Madden 06, that i finnaly bought, there´s other game to share my interest...

oh, god, why do i have to go to work everyday... :yuck:

but i´ll find an hour or so to this lovely S2000

My new splits:

37.615/1'12.647(saw a 1.12.3 but not with this Al setup)
30.114/1'05.1(saw 1.04.8 but can't complain about lap2 as the finish was very good)

Improved my time for 7 tenths at the finish line but still half a second left here I think,though not with this Al combination.The best Al combo that I found out so far was 25 spec points when Toyota Corolla is in the lead and behind there's Accent,it was the best because I could overtake Corolla before that 2nd complex of 90° turns,so I can go a lot faster there!Unfortunately it takes a lot of restarts to get the combination you want and to be honest I got sick of it already :yuck:
Still,this race is very addictive! 👍
 
Very nice little shindig u got here Mr P! 👍 It's good to see the BC guys here! :)

I plan on giving this a go this evening. I do have a question tho.....

Are we running anything goes for the racing line as long as there is no wall contact? Or is it 2 wheels inside the rumbles and racing lines? :confused:

Specifically I am wondering about curb cutting being legal in a couple places.
