Are we running anything goes for the racing line as long as there is no wall contact? Or is it 2 wheels inside the rumbles and racing lines?

Specifically I am wondering about curb cutting being legal in a couple places.

As long as there is no wall touch the run is valid!
Though,I belive that it's not allowed to cut the curb in the last long left turn,it wouldn't bring you any time but just to mention...

Still no AI touches

I need to keep my concentration on lap 2 as I seem to be too careful to try and stay clean

That T2 on lap 2 is sweet as hell mate you are flying as always 👍

The best Al combo that I found out so far was 25 spec points when Toyota Corolla is in the lead and behind there's Accent,it was the best because I could overtake Corolla before that 2nd complex of 90° turns,so I can go a lot faster there!Unfortunately it takes a lot of restarts to get the combination you want and to be honest I got sick of it already

I don't find anything in the thread concerning concrete areas behind the rumble strip.
Are we allowed to cut though in the 90° corners or do we have to keep 2 wheels on the track/strip. And what about the big round concrete area before the finish straight ?

It's a city track. You only go too far when you hit the wall

Yep as long as you dont hit any walls then all the track is usable in this combo 👍

That's according to the "GT.de" rules.
Fine for me, especially on NY where some turns are rather difficult to take 'cleanly'.

I can then concentrate on avoiding contact with the 5 dumb guys. Why do they all have to drive like 'L-driver' in Destruction Derby ???

I am canadian born from italian parents from the region of Molise, Campobasso. Piu precisamente un piccolo villagio che si chiama Pietracatella. Il mio italiano non e il migliore, pero per qualcuno che abita al'estero credo che ne so abbastanza. Forse un problema e che conosco piu il dialetto della nostra regione che l'italiano vero. Ho cercato l'anno scorso per vedere se ci fossono altri italiani buoni con GT3 ( adesso GT4 ), e mi fa piacere sapere che la communita italiana sta crescendo e sta diventando una potenza 👍

i had a very good session yesterday and here are the t2 splits i did (didnt pay attention to the T1 split time)

lap 2 1'05.112

time submitted, i think i only hit the ai 3 times, one of them was unavoidable, but nothing too heavy.

i had an amazing AI line up, where there were two subura's P1 and P2, so i was just able to pass them b4 the 180 degree turn.

Being a long term OLR'er I thought I understood this ruling perfectly, but now I'm not so sure and therefore need to ask if it's OK paint rub the A1's on corners?

I've always understood that paint rubbing is only ok if it happens accidently before or after a corner if the situation arises in a A1 scuffle or even along any straight area if one gets an A1 attempting to push one into a wall etc. Am I correct in my thinking?

Sorry to be a pain mate. I suppose I'm attempting to get an idea of what I'm up against in terms of being competitive compared to these great splits that have recently been posted.

I originally put the 3 touch AI rule in to account for the possibility of them moving into you on your way through the pack! now like most people who have been around in OLR I also race to the rules of the comp that I'm taking part in and thought that my post in the rulings would have been enough for most to understand ... but I will say it more bluntly as it has been requested 👍

Paint rubbing with AI means side by side contact whilst shuffling positions on the track, Using an AI car side by side in a bend is not paint rubbing! It is a form of using a moving wall!

If you are side by side going into the bend and use the car to take the bend then an advantage has been gained you need no brakes and greater exit speed so its not legal 👎 its should be obvious that you are gaining an unfair advantage


If you have a replay with this kind of action in the race then please accept my apologies for not clarifying it in the original post! ... your run is invalid and I ask you to please get a save with no AI contacts in the bends!

I know this wont be too much of a problem because I know the majority of drivers and cant see anyone doing this deliberately 👍
For the few who may be new and not sure of whats acceptable and what is not please take notice of this post!!! 👍

Ok, so when we refer too three touches those touches are defined by side by side brushing in non advantages areas (i.e straights).

I have a situation where the A.I just tap the rear of my car exiting the double left before split 2. It was not avoidable on my part at the current point, but I understood to be allowed to take three 3 taps from the a.i excluding those taps obtained on the straights...

I think this type of thing can only be decided by youself, it's very hard for anyone else to know exactly what happened without seeing the incident.

Just look at it and ask yourself if you ganied an advantage from it, can you normally get around that turn cleanly and therefore gain a faster exit for example? If you can normally get round that turn cleanly and it was just unfortunate that this touch occured then fine. However, IMO, if the turn can only ever be made with a touch then I personally would start again.

By allowing some touches it takes away the rot of starting over and over in order to get a 100% clean run because not all of us are able to do it. However, I'm personally expecting the top drivers here to get through this 2 lapper cleanly and us lesser drivers with the odd touch or three depending on ability.

One thing is for sure though, you asked the question which shows me your honour is there and whatever you decide to submit won't be questioned by me because I know that you are atleast thinking about it. Good luck. 👍 👍

I dont understand where im so slow though, Ai line up seems ok and pass them all way before the complex before T2, has everyone else got a full tank of fuel??

In my race, the corner just before T2, the Subaru drives sleightly into the side of my car. I am full on the gas when it happens. Is this a bad run? I did not use the AI car for an advantage. In Fact I wish the bastard wasn't there at all.
