Downloading now, thanks 👍

I tried the official Radical site the other day but it was unbelievably slow.

edit: Just finished watching. A fantastic lap, I bet his heart skipped more than a few beats though during that one.

Cool, that was good.

Like amp88 said, I bet he had some shocking moments...

There were a few hairy moments with some snap countersteering. Great drive 👍

Cool, np.

On the official site, Vergers said they could have knocked "more than 30 seconds" off the time by fitting slicks. That'd be getting down to a 6:20-6:25 laptime...not that far away from the Porsche 956

Well amp..You can't really say this is much of a ROAD car...So I'd expect those times with slicks..I mean, come on.....There isn't really much to this car...and in comparison to the 956...
620HP in 1851lbs
Vs
360HP in 209 lbs?

Jeez.

I'm amazed the car didn't SPANK the porsche..
but Gearing probably played a big role..

Bad ass car though..I wouldn't mind a fleet of them...

The car is road legal, there's no questioning that. I never said it was well suited to being used on the road (and I seriously doubt anyone would suggest that with a straight face or a sane head).

The SR8 does not weigh 209 lbs. The engine weighs 209lbs. The dry weight of the car is actually 600kg (about 1320 lbs).

The 956 is one of, if not the, most successful sportscars in history. It had double the power of the SR8 and employed ground effects with a more comprehensive aero package than the SR8 has. The fact that the SR8 got within 10-15 seconds of the 956 around a lap of the Nurburgring (remembering the 6:11 lap of the 956 was done on qualifying slicks) is a testament to two things: the ability of the people at Radical to make a stonking car at a low price and the progress of technology.

Damn. Nice video! Feels almost like the game! The over-the-shoulder camera for this tiny car seems at just the same angle as the cockpit cam in GT4.

It's a great achievement, whichever way you put it. :D

brilliant!!!, i bet he shat his dacks into pflantzgarten lol.

Amazing lap.

wow truly amazing lap. It seemed to me he could do with longer gear ratios for those straights, since it sounded like he was topping out alot, but other than that I must commend the ability of the driver. A car like that takes skill to drive IMO, (although it would have been more interesting with a full manual gearbox instead of the Audi style semi auto)

Wow. Amazing lap, he probably lost a few seconds by not taking full advantage of the whole road at times, but you’d expect that in real life.

Hmm. Difficult to see how he could have gone much faster without a longer top gear. The SL towards the end robbed him of a couple of seconds though.

Actually, I think he could have gone faster had be been comfortable. Did you notice how he was continually adjusting his belts?

The countersteer in the dip after Pflantzgarten was scary. I quite often crash there in GT4.

Hmm, well does anyone have another link to the vid?

I'm trying to figure out Yousendit.com - I'm a bit bandwidth limited ATM as I'm currently playing host for a larger companys internal CMS so I can't host the video here..

BRB...

Ah, I've waited this long, I can wait a little longer. :D
No need to I guess ;)
