After I accepted to take over the series, CFM mentioned that he had been planning a race on the Nürburgring for week 30. Pretty hard to change these plans once you know about them :D ! And using the track CFM was planning to use will be a sort of tribute to his commitment during more than half a year 👍
Among the many cars I had already tested on the Ring, overpowered road cars are by far my favourites : running on sports tyres with more than 500hp requires concentration for each braking point... and they count 174 turns on the Ring
Such a car has recently been suggested by Kent, and approved by others (including me) : the DB9 Coupe. That's the second half of the tribute to the previous WRS stewards I have known as a racer. A big  to them.
So we, poor racers, will pay the price of that tribute race, by trying to tame the british wild beast on german ground.

well, now its official, my first time running in nurb in a competition like this... shure it will be fun...

i was always saying that i needed a time on nurb, to get to know the track... guess what, now its the time... i hope i don´t get embarassed with the results...

btw, what sectors can we discuss?

Wonderful combo 👍

1 question that has to be asked.

What is the ruling on Concrete and Cobblestones?

Kent, there is absolutly no reason for you not to run this week! 👍

I will be running also :sly: :mischievous:

Yeeeha, looks like your first race will be a good one. I'm gonna turn some laps this week for sure.👍 Haven't tried the Aston yet if I recall, hopefully it's not a land barge.:dopey:

this is the type of combo everyone will try for a little... i hope to see a busy forum this week and 50-60 drivers running this time... good thing its a holiday tomorrow here in brazil :dopey:

i´m gonna be up until very late, so lots of GT today :dopey:

OH

MY

GOD... :scared:

What a way to start your WRS admin career, Cyril. :) We welcome our new benevolent leader. 👍

I don't want people to spend all their time struggling to get a clean lap, so all concrete, pavement and cobblestone areas are part of the track.
Only grass and sand will be considered off track.
But take care not to hit or brush walls : that'll ruin your lap.

And Todd, no the Aston is not a land barge. On the contrary, I find it pretty swift on mass transfers despite its weight.

Edit :
Special rule concerning concrete and pavement areas has been added to post #1.

OMG, just gave this thing an hour. Im Struggling, ive had one lap finished so far, with about 35 offs, and numerous wall touches.
Clean up untill t3 is my best so far with splits of 44.7, 1.19.4, 48.2

Are we posting all splits? or just some selected ones?

Oh boy... Glad to hear your take on the rumbles and concrete, hopefully that'll make it a bit easier to get all the way around the track... We'll see what I can manage, I usually push too hard all the way around the track, and end up very rarely finishing clean... Hehe. And then the time commitment, oh man... We'll see what I can do! I want to do more than the 4 clean laps I did in week 6!!!(with at least 8 hours of driving probably, if not 10!)

It'll be indeed pretty difficult to compare our relative performance if we can mention all 11 T-times.
So I suggest we limit ourselves to discussion about T2, T6 and T10.

Again, this is only a suggestion or a recommendation : you can discuss any other split time which you would find more relevant.

Edit :
Special recommendation concerning T times discussion has been added to post #1.

Sounds good... except for sports tires. It's gonna be fun. Congrats on your win Veil ;)

heh, i was thiking that myself. ;)

phew... guess i have two races to do around the ring this week.
should be good times.

Holy cow! I just drove the car for a couple feet, and this combo is going to be AWESOME! I'm quite a bit better at the 'ring than I was back in week 6, so I think I should be able to do decently without spending more than 10 hours on it... :-D

This car is AMAZING! I can't believe how well it behaves with only sports tires on it. The sports tires do NOT subtract from this combo in any way! Love it Cyril!

Hmmmmm

Where's Todd?

Hello Cyril.

I may drive this week too.
In my sleep.
:irked:👍

YEAH BABY!
Back to ring after 24 weeks!

Luckily I've ran a few laps w/the DB9 in the past and can confirm that it is NOT a beast of a car to handle out on the Ring'!

Just gotta hope I can finish this weeks event in the same position I did last time! (Keeping my fingers crossed! :D)

SimRaceDriver:

Had some time to spare to run a few quick laps before heading out to run my errands for the day and the times so far are:

T2: 1'20:573
T6: 3'45:733
T10: 6'25:402

Not the best, as I felt I had to rush to get some seat time before heading out the door! Will come back later today or early tomorrow to see how much lower I can get those times!

Enjoy everyone!

Congrats on your win Veil ;)

i dont think so! :sly:

Excellent combo flat-out, probably the best one i would say in all the wrs weeks, this will require immense concentration, i'll have a long session probably tomorrow sometime 👍

I'm glad to see that many of you appreciate the combo.
I never ran a clean lap while testing it this week-end, and I didn't run a clean lap either in this evening session.
6 evenings left to manage a clean save. I can't decently not submit to myself for my first race as the steward :D

This seems like a great combo. Will certainly be putting in some seat time this week. 👍
