How can anyone possibly manage to breathe on their own and still be this stupid?

Better yet, watch the video. If your jaw doesn't hit desk when she jogs on the spot, I'll be amazed.

*Video contains some blurred out nudity

That is amazing. How the hell can anyone believe such crap. And yet it wasn't just a one off occurence it happened about 70 times!?

Well, kinda highlights the intelligence of the general fast food restaurant supervisor,

You would think that the Assistant Manager would've thought to phone the Manager that the guy claimed to be on the phone with earlier.

I bet that the interviewer had to have a couple of attempts at that story, I wouldn't have been able to control myself.

That's bizzar, it's good that the girl is going to sue McDonalds and her manager for that, it doesn't take brains to realise that if the police wanted someone searching, they'd go and search them themselves, and that what they were asking you to do was illegal.

Wow. Just... wow. The one with the most excuse is the poor high school girl, but none of them should be allowed out in public.

Now, come on. Everyone cant be the dumbest human on earth.

***Watches video***

Actually, you're right. Everyone in that news story is the dumbest human on Earth!

Ditto what Duke said.

How can people seriously not stop and think about what they are doing?

Common sense is not dying. It is completely dead and buried.

Why is McDonalds at fault for this? This is entirely the fault of the employees, not the company.

Because it was people that McDonalds put in place as managers that did it while at work. The girl has every right to sue the company by law and imo she should.

So what you're telling me is that if your boss went on a shooting spree right now, the company you work for would be guilty of murder. Am I getting this right?

No, thats a rather different situation. Managers should know what to do incase of police involvement with the company be it them or a member of staff. If McDonalds hasn't provided the informantion regarding what to do in case of an incident involving the police then they are very much partly to blame. However, either way, by law she can sue McDonalds and pretty easilly win a case like this, which means McDonalds should (but really they won't) take more care in choosing their managers and the girl gets a bigger payoff (emphasis on bigger and payoff).

The "maintenance man" caught on. As for everyone else = stupid.

And I don't see how McDonald's is at fault in any way, unless the caller asked her to put a styrofoam cup of scalding hot coffee between her legs.

I grew up about 10 minutes from this McDonalds. I can explain this quite easily. Mt. Washington, KY is full of mostly simple farming community types. The population is just over 8700 people. It is small town and nothing more. The school systems are horrible. Most of the population would be lucky to tell you how many states there are in the US. There is a severe lack of leadership attitude in this town. Everyone just wants to keep their heads down and get by however they can.

It is mostly an area of farmland with a small local area for businesses like gas stations and dollar stores. The big hang out is Dairy Queen. In fact, the town is so bad that they built a bypass around it to go from Louisville to Bardstown without having to go into town. The McDonalds is only about 6 or 7 years old and is roughly half the size of the usual McDonalds.

It is the type of town where no one is halfway smart because those who are left town for college the day they graduated high school and never looked back. Trust me, the only reason I go back is to visit my parents.

When I heard this story reported locally I was not surprised at all. The only thing that surprised me was to find out that the cops had something better to do than give me speeding tickets.

If your dumb enough to get naked in the first place. The girl should have stopped after the searching. Or maybe she wanted the oppurtunity to sue...

It said in that news story that McDonalds did inform all of their employees not to perform searches. McDonalds is not at fault here and should have to pay nothing. However, she probably will get a payoff so that McDonalds can avoid lawyer fees defending themselves. In a "loser pays" system, McDonalds would give her nothing, defend themselves, and her lawyer would have to pay McDonalds damages for wasting their time.

Because her superiours worked for maccie d's :dunce:

Ah well I didn't notice that bit in the story, if they had said that to them then they have a case to defend themselves, but yeah, like you say they'll still give the girl a payoff to avoid the higher costs of a court case.

Ok, I checked into what the law says about corporations being responsible for the actions of their employees. The rule is the corporations are liable if the employee is acting within the scope of their job.

If it was within the scope of the job of the manager to perform a strip search and get sexual favors from their employee then the girl has a case. If not, McDonalds isn't responsible for the wrongdoing of their employees.

Oh man. The more I read, the more i couldn't believe what was happening. I can understand the fact that the assistant manager thought the police was on the phone and asked the girl to empty her pockets. But after 3 hours..... How did no one twig on to what was going on?

Truly stupid.

Young_Warrior
Yeah exactly. If I go to maccie d's 2morrow buy a burger and find out that a employees spat on my food on purpose and I had it on camera who would be responsible?

Danoff

...

And that makes them responsible how?? She worked for McDonalds too.
But McDonalds is is the evil McWorld corporation. Haven't you figured that out yet? :dunce:
