•Swiss Legend Photos • Goodbye

Here they are ladies and gentlemen, some of the shots that were considered for the final round of the tournament as an entry. The nismo was abandoned before cleanup, as was the supra

The first two were obviously rubbish,

a little over an hour cleaning this one.
Couldn't get the windshield right, then thought....I really need an action shot,

The one below was very nearly the one. Very close.

At first I thought the nismo was perfectly fine... then I clicked the full size. :( The grifith looks great tho.👍

 There are no words I can say to these amazing pictures.. 👍 Swiss Legend, you're really talented ;) I can't await the next update from you :).. Every new update is better than the one before.. 💡

Best wishes,

I like the angle in this RUF a lot more, and a little tip maybe on that image:

If you're about to blur the wheel, you can do it either by blurring the rim in this state. However, the point of blurring the rims is transforming them to a perfect circle in order to get a perfect blur, right? Well, to avoid all the messy transforming, you can just take your image, and a second shot of a head-on view on the rim. Then, in photoshop or whatever, select only the rims and put it on a layer to have the rim blurred, but to have the brake disc and whatnot un-blurred. Then you can use transform tools like scale, twist, flip, distort and whatnot to transform it in its place and then cut the part out where the wheel is behind the fender 👍

I don't really think the TVR is anything too special though, it's the car that makes in uninteresting. I think it's a dull car, but with some fresh rims it could look better, who knows... You did a good job on the colors, but there's too much focal blur for my tastes, the blur is too strong where the car is close to the car. The reflections are also blurred.

However, I do have to congratulate you on the win there buddy, you absolutely deserved it, it had a hunch you were going to clinch it

Above all, keep up the impressive and lovely work 👍

The TVR photo is quite something, very beautiful!! The RUF is wild, a very powerful looking on that one. And I must say, that GTR shot...if it was edited until the end, you would have another winner shot thats for sure!! But fits well in a PMC comp:tup:

Once more, congrats on your win Swiss!!:)

I really like the Griffith 500 shot.
I had a feeling you might. :)

That nismo was abandoned in the vvery early stages, hence no cleaning. oh what could've been. I love that shot though, so it might make an appearance later.

Thanks for the compliments! You're very kind.

The griffin has to be my favorite. Congrats on the wining though
I spent a lot of time cleaning that but wrecked the beautiful reflections. oh well. Thanks for the comment!

you made the right choice, though the tvr would have been an easy fix
👍 It appears as though I did make hte right choice. I just really didn't feel like messing with the griffith anymore. It didnt feel right. Probably the blurred refelctions.

I like that angle better, but as you know the wheel wasn't right. And it's a big part of that image. I thank you for sharing your skills with me. I will definately try that and you will see how it works out. I never thought to blur the wheel intitally. Thanks for the congrats on the win. You called that hunch. :)
I will definatlely keep up the work. I'm glad you took the time out to help me with the wheel blur, and thanks for stopping by.

I'm glad you like the TVR, I will probably use the GT-R in the future. Who knows how, but it has a certain something about it that makes it "pop".
Once more, congrats on your win Swiss!!:)
Thanks a lot Nuno!

I missed these!? Great shots pal! My faves have to be the Ruf blur, and the red Skyline. The Ruf is so shiny, its unreal, and red skyline looks great. I particularly like the small detail on the wall of the tyres, I never knew there was writing on there! 👍

Great stuff, keep 'em coming! :dopey:

I'm loving the purple Triumph on the previous page. I don't know if it's because it's a subject I don't see very often or the colours and composition, either way it's a stand out photo for me.

Again with the Griffith 500; not a car photographed very often. It's refreshing to still see new cars 4 years since GT4's release. I really like the tone and can appreciate the amount of effort that went into cleaning up the reflections, however I feel that the image is a little too soft, it's still a strong photo none the less.

The RUF shot is extremely dramatic, personally I find it a stronger photo visually than your final entry, but perhaps not as good technically. It's be nice to see the photos reworked with Bram's suggestions on the wheel blurring.

Congrats on the win.

I didn't knowo of the writing either until the sharpening. Thanks for stopping by and checking them out!

the tvr would have been slaughtered in the comp.
 I know it.

Thanks for the compliments. I might work on these photos again with that wheel advice.

My computer is having some major issues. Drivers have suddenly gone missing, I cant download new ones because I apparently need windows update to do it. ( that hasnt worked since last year. I have no workaround at all. at all. zero. nada. ziltch. 👎
This means that the usb drivers have vanished too. No uploading of pics. No more comps for awhile. :indiff:

Photoshop is even too slow for me to do anything on it.

Hope your problem can be fixed Swiss, and while you are gone don´t loose the "heat" of photomode here at GTP. Good luck mate:tup:

So I have a little update for you all. Not much but pretty good considering all my computer has been through recently. I bought an old Mac Powerbook G4. I love it. I have to upload pics to the mac and save them to photobucket. Then edit them on my pc since my mac doesn't have PS. It'll work for now. On with the pics! One of these also happens to be an entry in PMC.

uuuuh this one is sweet :dopey: :P The colour is perfect ;).. Well done, Swiss Legend :).. I hope you'll update your gallery soon 👍

Best wishes,

S-Line Audi Fan

congrats on the mac g4! i'm actually wanting a mac book pro. i might just get one in the summer. hope you fix your pc, or maybe you can just try and download ps for the mac :D
great work on the update. the first one for a stock (?) pic is actually quite good.

Good to see you again:tup:
Knowing that your PC is giving you a hard time, you managed to do these good looking shots, that IMO are very good for PMC comps 👍
Love the camera on the 2nd one btw:tup:

NTX👍

Thanks, I hope to have an update later this week

Heh thanks. I love macs soo much. On the other side of the computer spectrum, I plan on reformatting windows soon. Hoefully get that up and running again. I am just too used to windows right now to be w/out it. I have an old old version from a friend on the G4 but I don't like it. I think it had photoshop elements on it or something. It doesnt even have the slice tool! How annoying is that!
That pic is bone stock, except for a small increase in brightness. Thats it. Glad you liked!

Good to see you again:tup:

Thanks bro. I finally got the process pretty streamlined. No more uploading to photobucket in the first phases which saves so much time. I love having the mac.

I'm glad, I do enjoy your visits to my gallery.

I have to say the Nismo Skyline looks really sharp even you said it wasn't finished
Congrats on your tournament win

Thank you franz :)

I wanted to provide a slightly different update than most of you have grown accustomed to. No heavy editing. Just kind of letting the photos speak for themselves.

Great, they have a real subtil fill to it. I love the artistic way of the 4th picture, that is actually (along with the first) my favourite of the set

great work on all of them. i actually love the first one, and the 4th one as well as the second one. the artistry is all there. what i would recommend for the fourth one though, for next time, is to have something in focus, that way you can have some sort of context and then you can use the rest of the blurred photos to sort of lead the viewer's eye into the photo and give them a better idea of what you were trying to show, by having that one part in clear focus, say like the helmet or the sponsorship logo/decal on the car. apart from that, i really love the soft light and the colors in the first one. it's funny how i see your la sarthe update, when i just finished shooting a whole set with a tvr speed 6 last night, or should i say this morning at 4am  i just couldn't sleep. anyways i look forward to the next update. and thanks for the offers btw 👍
