How could this league be improved?

I never said people cant drive the same car I expect team mopar to be in the same car but not everybody else I have no problem with me you and cards driving same but when over 3 people are driving the same car when there are over 10 cars to pick from really? also barrett is the vertigo any good on this game? and I have like 5 cars I could use for this race the zonda, the viper, vertigo, Subaru super touring car and plus the other cars that are only 2 mil because you can do 5 races then by them. the Camaro LM c5 r viper gts ford gt zonda jaguar xj220 McLaren f1 rx7 lm rx8 LM gtr LM panoz. plus the Australian car, the lister storm, vertigo, nomad diablo, diablo gt2. ford gt test spec black and white.
The Vertigo is fast in a straight line but it can't turn. I ran a 3:37 with it. All of the cars you listed run between high 3:34 and low 3:38 so they are pretty even.

Now to say that you expect everyone else to use the same car but your fine with mopar using the same car....That's not right

Well, if it gets to be a problem, I think we already touched on the rule that some leagues use. Two people per car? I think that's a pretty good one, however it's only really fair if all the cars are pretty fairly matched.

If we have time Saturday, how about we do Street or Street Tuner (No one-offs or concepts) at 2.21 P/W Ratio at Apricot Hill for 10 laps? (A non-points race). I am still extremely curious about the power to weight concept, but to do the testing would really take me forever to get formal numbers. I personally think it would be best if it works, and it would literally allow the use of any car in it's class, including 2Js, ZZIIs, Shelbys of all kinds, etc. Then, even if 4 people wanted to use the same car, it would still be a level field roughly. That's really closer to NASCAR and F1 in the 70s-90s, and typically how LMS, GT, and Street Tuner classes work today.

Would everybody be willing to test it out for me, with me, please? Because, if we find that it works and no one minds doing it that way, I definitely think we should settle it before the season gets to far ahead.

And @MOPARbarrett5 I totally agree with you, and that's one of the things that keeps me going. I race myself every week, (most times with no other choice, lol) and that provides that challenge. Especially now where we have races that I don't get lapped, or lapped so much. Even so, I'm still racing myself as much as I am racing you. When I see myself set a lap that is comparable to one of you front runners, that is a victory in itself, and it tells me I'm headed in the right direction. And I'm getting more aware, so much so, that JK and kz don't have to let me know they are passing that much anymore! :)

If we do have races Saturday, the 2 rescheduled races should probably be done first, but yes, the power to weight ratio racing is a good idea and that race sounds fun.
That is a good attitude to have doing anything: always push yourself to do better whether you are competing against someone or not. The racing can only be fun if you believe and make it fun. So if you look at being 30 seconds behind someone and think "there is no point in trying, I won't catch them" then you won't enjoy the rest of the race. On the other hand if in that same situation you think "I'm going to try to gain time on them" then that gives you a personal challenge to occupy yourself with the rest of the race making it more fun and you become a little better in the process.
The racing might not always be close, but it can always be fun.

I appreciate it barrett. And beneath the trash talk and the teams and all of that, the fun and the sportsmanship are what make this the best league. I hope that over time people will see the value. I do see we've had some people coming back here and there. That's a good sign. :D

@ERAUfan97 I'm not sure what we're going to do about C&M. I do have some network upgrades I'm planning that might help. I still don't know. The things I do on my network with three computers that share a connection with my TV and phone tell me that it's still a PSN problem, but if I can get something worked out, I can try to host. But that still brings us to whether or not people will show if you don't.

The only other thing I can think of is maybe cancelling it until we all have more flexible schedules. It sucks, but maybe that will only work for us as a summertime league. I don't know?

Depending on what Sub-z is going to do: if he's ducking out again, maybe we could do C&M every other Saturday? That would get us back to having 2 weeks to prepare for our own races, and Sat night might be better for everyone? Any thoughts on that?

I get what ur saying but team mopar has been using the same cars the whole time and now ur going to complain about it?
But if all cars are even I agree but if they aren't I disagree.

Maybe it should be 3 of the same car allowed so the 3 people on both teams can run what their teammates are running if they want.

I don't know if that is so much a complaint anyway. It's more of a discouragement. When I logged on last week and saw
84 GTO
84 GTO
84 GTO

my heart sank a little. It's hard to explain but "Aww man" is a good way maybe. I was unprepared with my 300ZX and could have just as easily joined everyone in my unprepared GTO, but why? "If that's how you have to win," I think to myself and fire up my machine and get to work. As barrett said, there are so many cars in the game, I feel challenged to make them all work. Not just the ones that are easiest.

But ER has actually had plenty to say on the subject before. And you know he's not the only one who feels that way. One of the few things me and dread could agree on was the use of easy cars, and his build your own GT300 series is a good example of that. Now I will admit that I thought the call on your Ferrari with that was kind of close. I personally might have let you run a few more races with it before I banned it. But that's water under the bridge. You can still see how he went to great lengths to try and even out the series. Because he sees what the people dominating the series don't:
That people want to be competitive. Period. And if the find that they can't be, the will pull up stakes and head for greener pastures. Not everyone is going to be like me about it. In fact, no one has been like me about it, lol! I'm the only one still riding in the back that is still here. Everyone else has essentially run a few races, figured out the formula, and left. ER and I, and to a small extent JK, seem to be the only ones who care about that.

I care if people race or not. The more people racing means more close racing. Close racing is fun and fun racing brings in more people. It is a good chain reaction.
(Also more people means boost will be off *insert evil laugh")
But seriously, I know from experience that the more people who join will spread the word faster making the rate at which people join faster and faster. (Mopar went from 1 to 4 members from 2012-2013, 4 to 12 members from 13-14, 12 to 45+ from 14-15).
Give it time, keep racing, keep recruiting and stay confident that more people will join, eventually a lot more people will join.

LOL I sandbagged the **** out of the Ferrari so dread would even let me race I wrecked was in last and finished a half a second behind JK and we were 5 seconds ahead of everyone else it was op as **** but on that track because of downforce but on a different track it wouldn't be as op

Well, we do know in real life the Ferrari is a GT2 at best and GT3 at least, but I don't know that I would want to be so quick to ban a car. Given the amount of cars in the game, I do think that competitors should be challenged and given time to find something that can match or beat it. For instance, JK came up with the Corvette. It would have been interesting to see if he could have matched you with it in the Ferrari? (Maybe that's a race for the future)? But that's the main reason I try not to object too fast to some cars.

Some, the answer is obvious, 2J, ZZII, NISMO R35, and so on. But a lot of cars can be matched if you have the time. That's what I like about running every 2 weeks now. When we ran every week, sometimes I didn't pick a car or cars until that Saturday, which left no time for testing and tuning. Over the course of the season, I know that it's going to help me become more competitive, because I can test and choose the car that's best for me and have a little practice time before I have to jump on track with you professionals! (kz is still a loose cannon). I take that back! cards has been a bit of a loose cannon lately! No telling what he might do! :nervous:

Don't for get to tune a street car or street tuner to 2.21 P/W. If we have time Saturday, I would love to try it out after the make up races. Drink some coffee JK!

so from the tuner himself the 2D is 3 seconds a lap faster than the "real" GT cars i don't know if i do ban it i will use the vertigo if boost is on if not im using the McLaren f1 stealth or f1 gtr. I would like to hear u guys opinion on the 2D keep it or don't keep it.

And r34 i agree i would like to do the stuff for races by power or power to weight ratio the pp system is long broken and more options for a variety would come up like in dreads league but without banning cars cause he banned like 4 cars just because they were better than what everyone else was driving which was bs he also banned the mp4 and didn't ban the corvette JK was driving and they both were 50 seconds ahead of the rest of the field why doesn't he just ban every car that beats him!

Cards said he isn't racing if the 2D is banned, so we should keep it allowed.
The only time a car should get banned is if it is the only car that is a lot faster than others (in this case there were two).

yea but with 8 or so drivers hopefully, 2 cars being used out of over 10 is outrageous isn't the solution I don't even know who suggested the 2D anyway I never did.

not going to use the 2D but I want the McLaren stealth tune and the vertigo one

I didnt say i wasnt going to race if the 2D was banned. I was thinking about using the XJ13 if the 2D was banned. If theyre both banned i cant come up with 20 million credits in one day or i could just use one of the LMGT cars. And R34... DON'T CALL ME A LOOSE CANNON
