Cool, thanks. Give me a few to get brandofo's stuff put in.

Edit: Good to go. 👍 (I'll need brandofo's fast lap for Race 2 as well. If you can't get it with the others, I can get it in a couple hours)

I got the race 1 fast laps in (looks like our post-race assumption was correct, the tire bug was costing everyone who pitted 1s/lap). Race 2 crashes my ps3.

I'm thinking there may be something to the post I read a while ago that watching the replays right after the race makes them work correctly. I didn't watch 100% of race 1 but I made sure to fast forward all the way to the end and let it "complete". That one works fine. I didn't do it with race 2 because I lose the skip forward button after I dropped out and didn't want to watch the part of the race I watched live again. That one is broken.

I'll need more evidence before I call it more than coincidence, but given the massive amount of busted replays it may be a legit workaround.

So, what if we were to race on the full Brand Hatch layout?

Not a fan of it, don't really like the flow. Maybe with the TC cars in the next season, but trying to stick to smaller layouts with these cars.

 I'm exactly the opposite. Love the flow of the full course but not Indy.

...current pb is on the practice board. You're probably getting me in the last turn Travis.

Phew, glad you guys are doing similar lap times, have done a 54.1 also - but same, takes a few laps to get there, 54.3-5 is probably about consistent. Probably a 53 is possible but pff, it'd be a one-off lucky lap so what does it matter.

20.6xx is a really good first sector time, 20.7-8 and it's still very decent. No clue about sector times after that but the last corner (Mclaren/Clearways) is a bit odd, when you feel slow it's actually a quick time, and vice versa.

Yeah, 54.5 is pretty much my race pace. It's going to be a tight one. It's a pretty easy track once you figure out an entry for t1.

Probably a ball of fun in real life... Loses a lot of difficulty in the no G force virtual world.

I couldn't find out on my phone but are we allowed to tune the suspension and gears etc?

I should be signing up for the first time slot.

I should be signing up for the first time slot.

Only Suspension, weight (ballast position) and differential.

As for tune, here is a "stable" '89 tune.

My WIP setup for the 89:

85 / 85 : Ride height
4.00/3.90 : Springs
2 / 2 : Dampers
1 / 1 : Dampers
3 / 3 : ARB
0 / 0 : Camber
-0.25/0.00 : toe

5 / 4 : Brakes

5 / 25 / 5 : Diff

16% : Ballast

With the differential / toe improved I got a down to a 54.100. Still working on 53s.

Pinball racing at BH Indy.

So the run-offs outside t2 and t3 aren't considered track surface, correct? In other words, four wheels over the red and white kerb is considered offroading?

Yes, don't go as wide as you were when we were practicing last week.

For now, anyone practicing for Brands Hatch Indy, the exit of turn 4 (Graham Hill Bend) is 2-wheels off only. Which means your left side tires should still be on track surface and/or the curbing coming out of that corner. Not the grassy area beyond the curbing.

The last time I drove Brands Hatch was in a TOCA game ages ago. Paddock Hill kicked my behind back then and it's doing the same in GT.

If anyone wants to find me on Saturday, I'll be at the beach.

just ease into it... stay in 4th and > 80mph with trailing throttle til it settles at the apex kerb and go flat out. I find over-braking more of a problem than running wide. Just gotta remember to turn in earlier than your instincts suggest. It's actually a bit of a blind entrance, if you wait til you can see the apex you're going to slide when you cut the wheel due to the elevation change. Dropping to 3rd also has a tendency of unsettling the car so 4th is way more reliable.

That's been my approach but I haven't been able to attack that corner with any consistency. I'm either running wide of the apex with no grip on exit or the car jumps sideways when I try to trailbrake. Guess the 2nd race is where I'll garner a good result.
