Digital Foundry recommends 720p to reduce framerate/tearing/slowdown issues, for those that haven't seen the news.
I am running it currently, it does help, at the sacrifice of some image quality imo.

I think we should maybe start at 1pm with time on 6. As it gets dark at 5-6ish. Then we get most of the race in the daylight

yeah, the track is definitely in the January daytona24 hour time frame seasonally. It's black after 18:00. Headlights are on @ 17:20, sun is behind the grand stands by 17:45.

So if we run time=6 and start the race at 1PM we'll have some dark laps at the end. Or start at 1PM and run time=5 and chase the setting sun.

(I'm for the latter)
