Perhaps this week we should just assume we're combining D1&2 rooms and then split only if necessary? Larger room with theoretically bigger battles may encourage attendance, and then if we need to split the room it will be viewed as an accomplishment instead of a joining them seeming like an unfortunate necessity.
Also, there may be some just overall decrease in total players as the game has now been out for over 3 months... people joined thinking they'd be doing this for a while only to find they aren't playing nearly as much and GT6 is currently gathering dust.

Guys, I want your input. Do you guys like my race picks? Did you like the Nismo @ Willow Springs combo? Would you like the BMW M3 @ Grand Valley Speedway Reverse and the Trial Celica @ Suzuka East?

i like the combos @RacingOtaku86 ! Love the BMW at GV reverse! I remember doing that combo back on Gt5. Would have loved the Nismo at Willow but other matters took precedent. Keep up the good work!

I really don't enjoy Willow very much. Not sure car would have made much difference.
M3 at GVR is fun.
Haven't tried the Celica yet. Usually don't get to them until the week of the race.

I didn't really like the Willow/R32 combo, and I'm not having a lot of fun in the Beamer. I'm looking forward to the Celica though. The FWD is something different.
Now I can only speak for myself, but as an online newbie who's been playing GT since version 3, I'm still learning to race against real live drivers as opposed to AIs. I guess I assumed being in D3/A, certain concessions would be made for drivers that while perhaps a bit sloppy skillwise, were nonetheless making an honest effort to drive by the rules. Now, speaking of rules. As a high school teacher for 35 years, I have to tell you that it's one thing to read the rules/expectations, but it's quite another to implement them all when you're racing online once a week. Most people learn by doing, not by reading. Again, for me, I've read the rules multiple times, but until you're in the situation in the heat of a race, I think some of the expectations here for D3/A might be a bit unrealistic.

i will be in for a while, racing is something I have been lacking in my life... so you can expect me as often as I can show. It wont matter if they keep updating the game often or don't.
The car track/choices have been great from what I see. I am really looking forward to the Celica race. I am a huge hot hatch guy! Can't wait to get out on the track with a full room, i have never been in a race with more then 6-7 people.

Hmmmm.. I like GVR and the CSL is one of my favorite cars in gt5... I do believe I'll race Saturday. Yes'm.. might even practice before the race instead of going in blind like the last two races.
I miss my old buddies from forza 3.. the races we do here on Saturdays is what we did every night. We had 6-7 people show up every night at 10-11 pm then we all would pick a car and race it for 50 laps on a track. One was the fastest motorcycle racer in the world on pgr 4, one was a graphic designer and a Fabio look alike, one was a network engineer in houston, one was a doorman in new york, one was a tech guy in san fran. Our friendships lasted over 5 different racing games and 7 years. Everything went down hill around when forza horizon came out. The doorman graduated college and stopped coming online, the motorcycle guy disappeared, the network guy in houston started playing call of duty, the Fabio look alike had his father pass away so he moved to Belgium and hasn't been seen since, the san Francisco tech guy still plays and we talk every now and then.

Well, I WAS in the WRS race, doing quite well, but then my system froze up. These servers are not quite the best.

Man I feel your pain. Been very frustrated with this game lately, so close to being great yet so many problems that feel like leftovers from GT5. This site is the only thing keeping me racing.

It's hard to say why race attendance has been down lately. As mentioned, there appear to be some "one and doners". They come in for one race, MAYBE run one or both races, then disappear, never to be seen again. I think the amount of disconnects has had a major impact though. It sucks seeing your name in the results as a DNF when you were running well. Even the always-there-to-race seasoned veterans sometimes will get disgusted when they get disconnected in the first race, or even worse, during or right after qualifying, then call it a night. I had that experience at Apricot Hill in the BRZ/FRS/86GT races. Got disconnected after the hairpin on lap one of the first race, got disconnected two more times watching the rest of the race, then called it a night knowing I wouldn't be able to finish the second race without disconnecting. IF PD can get their servers fixed, and some more community content is added, I agree we may see more people come back out.

I think the BMW/GVS reverse combo is excellent Otaku:tup:
It is a great exercise in throttle control, braking inputs and steering control. This car flies around this track. I love it.. Coming into turn 1 some throttle control a little braking after shifting to 4th, hit the rumble strip barely nip the grass running 120. Get it wrong your in the gravel get it right and your flying. Theres no better feeling to me. I like every turn on this track with this car.
I feel as comfortable with this combo as I did with the FT1 at spa. Keep up the great work..

You guys have a good gig going on... I would love to join the division 1. Thing is im not attracted to the tire specs or the vehicles. I like touring cars, gt cars, lmp...etc. If you guys ever have an event with a race car even if its 100 laps at laguna seca then hit me up. Truth is I suck lol but i enjoy these cars better. You can always add me Wrench_Monkey86 and ill join a practice room see how i like it.

Those tires rarely get used, only on pretty high powered cars. But i appericate your opinion 👍

@Wrench_Monkey I hear you. I don't like racing road cars or running on non-racing tyres. Like you, I like racing touring cars, GT, LMP, and especially Formula cars. I race here because this league is a VERY good group of people and the racing is almost always clean and fair.
