K thanks man pretty sure I bought the right one. Hope so any way cost me a million credits lol

Good luck to everyone tonight. Wish I could make it. Have fun!!!!!
Maybe before to long I can get my daughter to race for me when I can't make it. She's pretty good on the ovals, not so much on the turnie tracks yet.lol.

Sorry to say, guys... but as the temps rise I'm finding my Saturday nights are now becoming filled with "real life" that always seems to want my "attention"

I respectively request to be moved to the "Part Time" list or whatever our equivalent is... I'll still race whenever I'm free on Saturday nights, but it'll be easier on my emotions if I don't come on here on let you all know when I won't be making it... as the "won'ts" will probably outweigh the "wills".

Instead, I prefer to become an enigma... leave some mystery in whether or not I'll be showing up for Enduro that way everyone can be like "zomg! Severn's here! Much excite!" like I know you all will be. :sly:

I'll still be active on the thread and will still be online Thursday's for HST and Friday's for FLEX, but I just can't commit to Enduro like I used to and/or want to be able to. :guilty: Regardless, this isn't goodbye. Viva La Turtle! :dopey:

Of course... I'll already dropped the $1M on the car for tonight (which btw, if anyone hasn't completed the "Nurburgring 24 Minute" S-class race, this car is excellent at it. Ran the whole thing on RH with no pit stops and won by almost 2 minutes. Track got to 100% wet and all I needed to worry about was not braking too hard else it would go a little nuts.)

So who's opening the room tonight?
Yea... Was just about to say... Plans fell through when everyone got "tired" and I was like "haha I get to surprise on the first night!" But then there's no rooms open... Womp womp

Congratulations Bionic. Must not have been an easy win since you past out afterwards. I really like that little car. It handles almost as good as the gt300 rx7.

I lost about 3/4 of a second in my laps by the end of the race It was tough managing cornering speeds each lap. Had also done about 2 hours of racing earlier in the day in the WRS. I was really exhausted by the end of the day.

There was some weird stuff going on last night. Still couldn't see Dolph, and he couldn't see me. I have a feeling you couldn't see me either bionic(congrats on the win), as I was trying to get past for almost the entire race, for like 25-30 laps. Then I started hitting walls toward the end of the race and lost the 7 seconds.
In my old series, everyone always saw each other, and we even had racers from the UK and Finland among Canadians and Americans.
Maybe it is a bug in the game(there are a lot of them), or maybe it is just my connection...

I've had no problems seeing you choco, in several races now. Last night, it was bionic who i saw lagging quite a bit in my race. And i have rarely seen him lag before.

Les try to make sure we get a good host for the races. No wireless connections or satellite ISP's. Set the room to standard/standard and see if we have better success going forward.

If we know someone has a strong connection, we can even try fixed host.

I will not be around next saturday night (going to the Cubs game). We need to know who has the strong connections.

Who has cable or fiber optic ISP? And uses a wired connection? Those are our best hosts.

I'll step up and try to host when i can, but i will be busy 4 of the next 6 weekends. After that i should be good to help out. Between practice and races, we should be able to figure this out. It's not like we have racers from Aus/nz race with us too often. We should have stable races.

That's sounds good mic. If another racer has a good wired connection but doesn't want to host he could open the room, one of us could tell them the room settings and run the race. That way they wouldn't have to be nervous bout hosting just opening the room.

And choco I've seen you each time too. Hopefully once PD shuts down gt5 servers alot of these problems will go away.

Well we know PD really listens to their community and quickly addresses any and all problems in their games, as well as keep all promises when it comes to features in the game...

On a serious note, that sounds like a good plan mic. I would probably not make a good host as I live in a rural area and use cable internet with a wireless connection.

Do you have the ability to get a wired connection to your ps3? Just to see if it solves your issues seeing Dolph?

make sure to thank all the stewards after the races! If it wasn't for them there wouldn't be Turtle Racing League!

Yeah, for the second week in a row, I couldn't see Choco. Don't know why we can't seem to see each other. I could see everyone else the past two weeks just fine. Though in FLEX, for half of a lap in race 2, gr8racrs was going nuts on my screen. But I could still see him.

Anyway, despite that, the races were fun last night. We had a pretty good 4 car battle going for the lead in race 2 (it was only a 3 car battle on my screen ). Congrats to the winners. 👍

I don't think i can get a wire connection, though that would probably help a lot. I dont think it is the connection that is the problem, but instead the internet itself. On Saturdays it tends to be a bit slower because a lot of people in the community are using it at the same time.

Well it probably wasn't lag

Also I need to get with the times I think I still have DSL

DSL is fine. It may not be the fastest, but it should give you a stable connection to race with.

The problem with a wireless connection isn't the speed necessarily, it's the issue it has with dropped packets, which causes issues with GT6 (ie, lag with other players sometimes, particularly the fuller the room gets). Noone with a wireless connection should host. You're just asking for issues (not all the time, but often enough).
GT6 is just a difficult beast

That's funny you say that mic. Excede customer service ran a packet test on my system today. Out of 20,000 packets in 6 seconds I had 4 drops.

TRL Enduro Results TIME!!!!! For those who don't know, we raced the Mitsu FTO Super Touring Car at Rome. This saturday nights race should be a good one. I don't believe tire wear will be an issue. I think we'll be pitting for gas before we'll need tires. I love the short tracks:tup:
