i gained 4-5 seconds a lap on you from lap 13-15. in addition to the time you spent fueling in the pits, you would have lost out about 40-60 seconds (minimum) i'm guessing when all was said and done. Much longer than an additional pitstop (~30 secs). That doesn't include the risk of trying to run on tires with the fronts at 2 which is what you would have had to do to get 15 laps at the pace we were running.

The choices in this race were whether to go for 4 stops or 5 IMO. it was pretty close between those two options if you crunch the numbers.

Congratulations to @Masterhec on your win last night! Great Job!! 👍

For this Saturday there will be no racing going on, Happy 4th of July Weekend Turtles! 👍

Will copy over tonight to the FaceBook Page. Also I have a picture of the track and car for next weeks run. Not this week have a Happy 4th ya!

For those interested, the FLEX Series will still be running Friday night, the 4th. It'll be the classic Firecracker 400 night race at Daytona in the NASCAR cars. Feel free to join. 👍

I did some testing with the Superbird at Daytona. By taking the transmission up to a top speed of 211 mph, I was getting up to 180 on the straights, which seemed to be the fastest this thing would go stock. In a draft, we should be able to do over 180. I'm not sure what that translates to in kph, but that seems to be the best setting. And I was messing with the tires. Racing hards would probably last longer than the fuel, but softs wouldn't seem to get you close. I think mediums would be a good middle ground if we decided to do this thing. Of course, this has nothing to do with the Enduro Series, so I'll go ahead and post this in the FLEX thread as well. We'll see who is interested in doing the race in the Superbirds compared to the regular NASCAR's. And that's only if people decide to show up, which I don't know how many will with it being 4th of July and all.

Turtle Racing League would like to wish all the Turtles and all the GTP Members along with their families an Happy 4th Of July Weekend to all! Thanks to all the Troops that have Served and may all have a great upcoming weekend! 👍

I was thinking of using the old Mini at London for funsies this Saturday unless someone else has a better idea.
up to you guys! I wont be able to attend because of the Modified Nationals here in my hometown - $10,001 to win! and who knows how much modifieds coming around the world to the dirt track! Still wish i could hop back on the Ps3! :ouch:

I have a fresh race idea for the league.
Race ???
Track: Eiger Nordwand - Short Track
Car: '00 Mitsubishi Lance Evolution VI GSR T.M. EDITION
Tires: Sports Soft
Laps: TBD

I think there is a way to put an endurance timer on a race versus having to guess how many laps to run. I will check it out.

Yes there is the endurance option. Under basic settings, press X and then select Practice/Qualifier/Endurance
You then can pick out the time limit for the race. It will do an interval of 5 minutes but only up to 30. After 30 it will increase with a 10 minute interval meaning if we want to do 45 minutes we would end up doing 50 minutes instead. I do know if this was already known but just throwing it out there.

We will have to test it out. But not for awhile now since the new schedule did get posted but we will keep this combo in mind.

Thanks!!

Hope everyone had a great fourth of July yesterday! If anyone wants to have some pick up races tonight, feel free to do so.

I started 7th in my heat race tonight (Last) and finished 2nd almost got first just not enough time. Then started 2nd in the Feature and was leading by a whole lot then a caution came out and on the restart my raceciever actually died (racecievers are the communication from the officials to drivers like when they say green green green or yellow to drivers) so it died and I fell back to 4th didn't know when we would go green, so I finished 5th out of 14 cars tonight.

Not a bad night..now lets install a bc 272 cams and new valves to the car and cccyaaaaa extra 25-30 HP!

Thanks guys

Welcome back turtles! This week is the Senna 97T at red bull ring

FLEX plug time. We're going topless around the High Speed Ring this week in three very different cars. Join us for the fun and check out the full details on page 30 of the FLEX thread. Hope to see you there! 👍

Well guys, not sure if you've noticed the gtp home page or not, but Turtle has a team in the Lemans 24 hr race.

We've had to do some scrambling due to unforeseen schedule issues with the original drivers. Even though we wont be able to do the full 24 hours continuously, we're going to give it a go and drive as far as we can.

Bionicderp and Hector are the primary drivers and have put in a lot of work to get ready for this event. Wish them well and thank them for representing Turtle! I was a last minute fill in and will be doing 2 stints hopefully as well. I hope I can represent well.

Any idea who's taking the next stint spot? Or what everyone's is?
Not exactly sure. A sort-of-schedule was posted in the turtle lemans conversation. I'm not friends with nemo at the moment, so I might not be able to run the 9-12 stint tonight. Are you able to?
