Since I'm off from work all this week, I'll be in attendance for the first time.

Welcome fellas!

Typically, @HSAXET will have the room number posted 15-30 minutes ahead of our start time.

As was the case last week I'll probably only be able to attend the first two races due to my work schedule. Possibly all month.

Thanks! I meant how do I use the room number to find the room? I don't think I've ever seen a place to search using a number. Or is the number the title of the room?

Bottom left hand corner of the screen there's a place enter the room number.

I will definitely be back this week! I'm FINALLY on my summer break.

I'll grab my Senna Kart in a few min to try some of those courses for tomorrow.

----------

OK - NOW I'm trying out my Kart. As I recall, last time I (mistakenly) thought I had the wrong gear setting - it was just a matter of everyone else actually being good at these karts, not gearing.

Silverstone National- 1.367/4.62 (my best 1:10.004 offline)
GTA Reverse- 1.669 5.12 (my best 28.029 offline)

Ugh - online I'm getting 1:11.5 at Silverstone Nat'l, and using the same gearing, 1:02.5 at Red Bull Ring.

I'll run a few more laps on the other tracks.

My posted times were offline, typically seem to be at least a few tenths faster than offline. My fastest lap in the GTA race last week was 4/10 slower than my fastest practice lap offline.

anybody got some gear suggestions for these tracks yet?

Post #541 are two of them.

I would love to rip some Karts around.. Is it to late this week for me to get in? Is there spots open for me to join would be the better question!!?
Just let me know. I understand if I'm to late for tonight's race..
I will keep my eye open on t

This is an open league. Whenever we get more than one room of racers we split it into two rooms. All you need to do is show up with your kart and race hard, but clean :)

If/Since this is going to continue as a SNAIL event, I would strongly request that the language be cleaned up. It does not represent our league, and it repels more than attracts anyone who may be interested in our activities.
Last night's practice session was a good example of what I am talking about. Foul language does not a man make.
Don't bother defending ........... just clean it up.

Be sure you do an engine rebuild on the Kart - even new ones. If you are skilled, enjoy! If less skilled, I look forward to racing you, cleanly and with clean language and my classy Stache.

Ok.. lol. I'm the ladder part of that! So look forward to it! I'm a GT rookie compared to most.. about 7 months I have been playing! I race on Sunday nights and I am definitely familiar and know the ORL rules and everything S.N.A.I.L is about and enforces which I like and respect! I know my place and if I am not up to speed, I know to drop back to not be in anyone's way! We shall see how it goes!! I need wheel time and track time! This seems like alot of fun and excited for tonight. When you say rebuild is that just an oil change or the complete overhaul or both? Sorry still learning all the rules for each race league I have got in besides Sunday nights as far as oil changes, tuning and so on! Well I have some practicing to do! Lol. Don't want to get laughed off the track.. I practiced @ Silverstone earlier this morning.. Gunna check out the rest of the track lineup and see how that goes!
Thanks again!

The oil change option is not available for karts. New oil is included however, in an engine rebuild.

RACE SCHEDULE

2. Redbull Ring Short Course (wet)
3. Silverstone National
4. Motegi Speedway

Room will be around 7:30 cst look for room number here...

Senna Kart gearing suggestions are not on the Gearing Chart as yet. Those of us not so gifted with a Crew Chief's mind and understanding ....... really depend on the "sharing". Otherwise there are a lot of Non-Competitive drivers in the races. Appreciate your help, always.

Single gear karts are fairly simple to adjust. Make the 1st gear or final gear number smaller until you are no longer bouncing the rev limiter going down the longest straight, then bump it a click or 2 more. It can be refined further with testing but the above mentioned method is where kcheeb and I always started, when testing a new kart and track combo.

If you don't want to mess with the individual gear numbers, just run the top speed slider up or down until the same condition occurs. Remember, with karts, the taller (low gear set numbers) the gearing the slower you'll be getting to top speed. The shorter (bigger gear set numbers) the gearing, the quicker you'll get to top speed, but the top speed will likely be less.

Ill get those posted as soon as I get home today in a few hours. Im not sure we ever settled on a good oval setting though

I want to thank the person or people who took their time to go through what the gearings would be for the senna kart. It is very much appreciated putting the senna kart gearing into the spreadsheet. 👍

If I knew anything about how the Karts perform for each track I would've been more than happy to put some gearing on here but you prob don't want mine this week.. Didn't have time since I just asked to join early this morning! I apologize and will try to put my 2 cents in next week.. (Proceed with caution though)
