I just cant believe it, ive spent so much time practicing for tonight and everything that could go wrong went wrong from connection issues to my ps3 crashing.. I spent every day of the week tuning for each track and this had to happen. Im sorry for all the waiting you guys had to do but im calling it a night

Until we can run a lobby where people can follow simple instructions, I'm done with this. @Lessen, you should start a new thread that you can control fully.

Thank you for the kart racing Dab each Tuesday Night. Always have fun each time we race. I had to back out of last race because another driver was in the shifter kart, was wondering why he was flying after the start.

Thanks for a great night of racing, im sorry you guys had to wait around for me i really do appreciate it. Im still happy with 2 wins its just a shame i had to miss a race, but it was still a great night

I have fun too, but I think we should run in a friends only room.

Your hard work still showed cause you was hauling da mail..!! @TEX36 keeps things moving as a Host and then there is me!! :boggled: but it all worked out!! I had fun and got my best finish in the Tuesday Night Kart series.. 6th..!! Thats right, thats not a typo!! lol and proud of it!! So sad!! lol Thanks to @dabneyd and @TEX36 for showing me the Hosting way! Hope you have a change of heart @dabneyd!! Thanks for another fun night everyone!!

I hate to have to bail halfway through the nights' events, but OT pays for toys and I need sleep to function :)

It's great seeing a full room again in karts. Sounds like we had some issues though. I'll be looking into these in the coming days.

Soooo... did anybody happen to keep score last night? I guess I dropped the ball in making sure that was taken care of.

Can send you a PM, later tonight, the Finishing order for each race.
Sorry for that lapse in my thinking - should have inquired during "the Gathering" if anyone was set up to keep the score.

Sounds like I missed all the drama the last 2 weeks. I will be back to hosting this coming Tuesday. Why are we back to wanting to run in a friends only room ???

So what is the rule regarding bumps. I was bumped into the wall hard in the London race by teckle and he just kept going while I lost 3 places. Also went from 4th to 9th in the Apricot hill race after a driver took too much of an inside line and didn't leave room for me on the outside and knocked me into the grass.

Not sure how we handle this in the karting series. I know the rest of the SNAIL series's have race stewards that will review the races
as needed.

Way toooooo many popping in/out all night. Many times getting on the track with Shifters. Had to Boot.
Some were disconn many, many times - we finally tried to convert the room to a different Host.
Just looking for answers - so that the same delays aren't repeated next week/future races.

DIGZEH has connection issues a lot in the regular rooms as well. Don't remember him having too many when I'm hosting. I now when my NAT is 2 I have some problems seeing people that are 2 or lower. Anyway maybe things will get better next week. We are in 100's next week, correct ?

My problem is with people who just show up, don't care about the rules and don't listen to instructions.

Gotta remember some people don't have mics. So it can be hard to give instructions mid race. Especially the yellow flag stuff. Experienced it in the old league we had.

First, I will continue to be firm in asking that we DO NOT discuss racing incidents in the open forum. This is a SNAIL policy and a very important one. It's just not good form for what is a "gentlemen" racers series. Read on...

However, with regards to how we handle (or should handle) incidents, it is my opinion that we simply don't "handle" them. What I mean is.. it is what it is. Sometimes we just need to take things with a grain of salt and move on. I suggest that if somebody feels they were raced a bit too aggressively then by all means discuss it PRIVATELY with the other racer. That's totally acceptable. The thing is... this series is simply not large enough to attempt to manage to that level of detail. We strive for clean racing and progression of talent, but it is still a "recreational" series. I have other racing hobbies that consume me as well as a family so without a TON of help, that level of management just isn't feasible, especially from such a small pool of participants. If things begin to get out of control... well, it'll be dealt with. I'll just leave it at that. We'll call it... "actions detrimental" to SNAIL Kart racing. :)

Yep, agreed. Anybody who fails to concede to polite and simple requests should be booted. Or we go to FO rooms for race nights. Personally I'm not opposed to that and I don't think it will hurt attendance or growth.

Thank you sir. I have the first two I believe.

Personally, I can't imagine racing in a league without a decent mic. It's a reasonable investment for a hobby such as this. Also, IMO reasonable to require. I'm not saying we are, just that I don't see why not. I have an entry level Turtle Beach headset. Cost something like $60. Worth every penny.

Having the blind side indicators turned on does help alot to know if a driver is on either side of you if a driver forgets their is a driver on either side.
