Special Stage Route 5 is my choice. Looking back it seems y'all haven't raced that one as of late. I wanted Cape Ring North for the jump but I saw y'all excommunicated it...👎

Should be fun though. 👍

If anyone wants a lap time to aim for on SSR5, I ran a 1:36.2 after about 10 laps in a private lobby before I went to bed in the 125 SPL. Didn't try the Red Bull Kart yet, but I assume it might be a tiny bit faster.

I did test at Motegi West with all 125cc karts and fastest was 125cc, then Red Bull and then 125 SPL. Not really big different between them but still little.
Using stock gearing with max speed 160 km/h.

Edit: ah best time was 40.531

Edit: West time was Offline (arcade) and Online I did 40.895 (10 laps).

SSR5: Just tested in OnLine room and did 1:36.804 with 125cc (10 laps/gearing stock, top 160 km/h))

Thanks for getting the picks in guys 👍

The lineup has been updated.

I've found the 125 SPL to be just a little off the pace of the Standard 125, not sure if that's in my head or not. The PP on it is slightly lower than the other two 125's, even though it has the same engine specs. If I remember correctly, the frame is slightly different.

You're welcome to race it if you prefer, but the gearing I post will be based on the standard model.

On shorter tracks like Gran Turismo Arena, I've noticed that the Red Bull kart was much faster than the SPL from my testing. I did about 30 laps in the SPL and did a 25.526, then I switched to the Red Bull, and after 10 laps, did this:

The gearing and laps have been updated for this Tuesday 👍

Also, I had originally posted High Speed Ring - Reverse as the 'Oval' for this week, I had intended it to be the forward version and have updated the second post. Sorry if I caused any confusion.

I finally managed to get down to that.. 40.520 offline. Took lots of practice though. Fun stuff! I love driving these things. I didn't think I could manage to get down that far. I was at 41.2 prior

I'm testing my online pace at Motegi now and I'm running mid 40s pretty consistently with a best of 40.230. Off to try Madrid now.

Update: 1:36.341 at Madrid.

the physics online are different from those offline. If you try practicing try doing online as the average difference per lap is 1 sec. Online is definitely a little slower.

My best times so far (online/custom gearing/125cc):
-Motegi: 40.464
-SSR5: 1'36.490
-Madrid: 1'37.986
-HSR: 1'32.970

Yeah, I noticed that last week. I don't know that I'd say the physics are different... just seems like less traction. At any rate, it makes it almost silly to fine tune "marks" offline when it won't apply in the race. I need to do more online work for this stuff. Otherwise, you have to relearn on the fly.

How every you wanna a call it. Its still in the physics/tire model. I have noticed that cars do not roll quite nearly as much offline as they do online. Back to the Days of Pre-2.0 GT5.

Arcade mode is good for practicing combo (track and car) and find to fastest racing line. Catch you ghost car to get fast laptimes. When you know combo offline then you could go online for more practice.

If not I can pick up the slack for the night. Got fast speed good ping and a wired connection.

We're going to have two rooms going tonight. To get the best racing for you the fast guys join @Rallywagon room. And the really fast guys join @dabneyd room.

@Rallywagon or someone planning on racing there, can you take pictures of the results in your room and send them to me? I can get the results posted tomorrow morning.
