The Elise can easily get 350 and its a blast to drive. No idea what you're talking about. Use it though. I won't be in the league for another 2 weeks due to work availability. I might pick it or the mazda roadster. Both are fun

I'm pretty sure I used every available option for power, other than nitro, and could only get to 336 and all the extra ballast must be slowing it down.
I know I haven't had much time on GT6 lately, but if Birdy is doing lap times 14 secs faster than me then it has to be the car, lol

oh 🤬 I read that wrong the first time. yeah you are way slow you need more power! I'll have a room open shortly to help you if you need it. I also have penguins lotus '11 set up if you want to try that (also penguin I gave tex your roadster you can still run either though)

Yeah glad things seem to be growing. I long to be back but I don't have a set return date in the near future. But you guys need to bring in some racers to expand the grid more.

That was fun and interesting tonight. Although I'm used to pitstops and tire wear, it was a big difference running on sport tires and using the second compound.
Looking forward to next week and having some time to strategize!

Can you message me please

Yea racing exhaust. The Mazda sounds better due to the supercharger over the turbocharger but both are fun

mmm why not?
In the Production road car series Sports Soft and Sports Medium are the compound choice. The Sports Mediums must be used a minimum of 6 laps in every race.
Production began in 1992 and ended in 1998. In all, 106 cars were manufactured, with some variations in the design.
so are we changing the rules to disallow the fastest production car of all time?

Spirit of competition and all. That McLaren is 10 seconds faster a lap untuned than the tuned ones we're running. If I can't get away with a 1 second advantage in the Shelby Series 1, you surely aren't getting a 10 second one lol

Last night was great racing! the snailiens were out front (as expected) and everyone else was battling behind them! Why would I want to destroy such good racing by allowing something that clearly is out of the range of the rest of the field.

I know how good you are and on top of that you know how to tune a car well. Use your imagination and the thread also has some tips and pointers (penguin put a list of cars up already) Lets have some fun racing each other and play with in the spirit of the series. I know you have the vehicles (I saw your 86gt last night).

ok let me get this straight, no cars faster than yours, no repeats and the car must make the 1030 KG weight restriction for the pro-am and then add the weight on for the pro category. so this leaves me with only one choice...correct?

Just for kicks, the Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta passo corto CN.2521 '61 can fit the weight/HP regulations. Disadvantage without aero but still awesome. Same for the Shelby Cobra and GT350

I understand your frustration but Birdy is trying something so give it a break.

And Birdy this is why I like having a set car list because when to many choices come up it can get confusing like it is now. But I do applaud you for trying something new.

We could have done the research first to see which cars fit the bill and then make a list. Maybe if you limit it to premium cars it won't be so long what with the clones and things.

not trying to be a stick in the mud just trying to find a car, after being thrown into the fire with a tire compound change and weight change and no car to run last minute is kinda tough

look man I don't know what your issue is there are plenty of cars out there that fit the bill penguin put out a list last saturday.

"I found some cool cars that fit the bill:

-Lotus Elise '11
-Mazda Roadster RS (NC) '07
-Toyobaru
-Mazda RX-7 (both premium versions but I believe the newer '02 has better stock equipment)
-Honda NSX Type R '02
-Nissan Silvia spec-R AERO (S15) '02"

As for wanting to win the series just a little FYI I gave Tex everything to do with his car and he beat me by 26 seconds.
I want fair competition and to bring others into the series. Why would I allow you to bring a heavily detuned mclaren when I wouldn't allow mike to bring in a shelby that actually came in with out detuning the engine, but was overly agile and ran well.

Everyone else is on board even the penguin is getting in on the fun. I don't understand why he is making such a big deal about what he knows would be outside of the spirit of competition.

Hell if he were to say " I want to run the same car that Nic ran last night". I would actually have no choice but to allow it.

This is my research. To see what comes out of peoples imagination. I looked through the cars, but it's not just about the cars it's about the tunes also.

The compound was told to you last Wednesday. As was the weight change. The idea is to bring in more people which it has (so far) I don't want the series to die and am trying to bring in things that will interest people. Last season you had complaints also. So I don't put much water behind them. I know you are a strong tuner and a strong driver. Put your skill to the test and come beat us!

wow Sorry, I was just looking to see if I had the rules right, my bad didn't mean to upset you Birdy.
Just trying to catch up to the new season's rule changes, after all we usually get a week to test and tune for the next series, with that...

These are the rules that I understand and can find in this thread and the one on the main page:

1)If you are not a part of SNAIL: you will run a Time Trial on Ascari Full Track with the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 '11 on Racing Soft tires .

Your performance on that TT will determine your class.

2)Yet we don't all want the same car! short of saying no repeat make and models I'll stay with my gt86

3)Any road car 350hp and weight reduced to 1030. ALL pros will then have to add weight to the 1070. I'm thinking SS and SM tires. Still need to test but I'm confident in the tires regs.

(posted race day Wednesday October 21, 2015 10:57 am)

4)No supercars, No series 1 Shelby, no Elise 111R, no McLaren F1

5)This is my research. To see what comes out of peoples imagination. I looked through the cars, but it's not just about the cars it's about the tunes also.

after my exhaustive search of approximately 250 cars, I have only found 4 cars that are not repeats or supercars/concept cars; they are:

a)MGF '97
b)BMW 2002 turbo
c)Rx7 '95 (very slow in corners and straightaways)
d)Mini Cooper S '11

yes I am now very very poor! Now I just have to get one to run up there with you fast Pro drivers in just one day and I'll be set.
Let me know if any of these cars are banned so I can concentrate my efforts on the rest. Thanks again for all of your time.

The elise 111R was a miscommunication between aero and myself. The mgf I tried very hard to get moving although it was tf160. I kept thinking of testing that BMW but they are usually to loose for me. The cooper is a ff? they have really bad tire wear.

Yes I want to avoid repeats, but doesn't mean you can't repeat. Since it is on such short notice I have also graced you and a few other with a week to switch to a different car.

The whole TT thing only applies to new drivers to the series. After that driver get moved around at the beginning of every season depending on driver points. Since you won the entire season it was a given that you were moving up. lose the season and you may move down.

Now i'm a bit confused, am I allowed to use the 111R? I tested some more cars last night but came back to the 111R and was just about to post that I was staying with it.

yes you are allowed the 111r.

When we were talking times we had that cross communication about times and I said "yeah don't use that" I believe that is what he is referring to.
