I had hoped that there would be a restart on the race after my disconnect , but sadly there wasnt , so the championship is over for me , as all races (points) count in the championship , any chance I might have had is gone , so have fun you all , cya in the next one maybe ......

Although your engine blew, you still have a good chance to win. you still finished in 9th with engine failure. Plus there is also the constructors cup.

You don't have to Win the Championship to have some really great racing experiences!
get to know your competitors, learn how and when they brake and turn-in, when they and how they exit and start to accelerate and so on!

Then go for WIN's and in the next season, Go for a Championship!

ROME wasn't built on the first day!

I see a pattern. So break the mold. Newbies always welcome. Stick to the plan. No favors allowed at the eleventh hour, mostly.

It`s a bit funny that some off you think I should carry on so I can learn how you all drive , bad memory ? I have driven with all off you before , except 1 , but I must admit that my biggest reason for saying stop is that iam so dissapointed that there wasnt made a restart , now that my disconnection happend within 2-3 min off the race , first time I have exsperienced something like that , in ANY series I have been in Imight add and that`s just unaccepteble in my book , maybe that`s wrong off me , but that`s just the way I am ......

Edit. after reading what I wrote i saw that I missed some words so it told excactly what I wanted too say....
first time I have exsperienced something like that when a person dc

Ok. But what about me? I started 5th, got a great jump and was second going into the infield, was able to apply pressure and get past x into first and start stretching a lead knowing that at the end of the race on hards I'd be a sitting duck. Everything went perfect. If after all that i was told we would restart, I'd have just left. To have an amazing start stolen from me would have been bs. And knowing that we'd restart for an early disconnect going forward, why not intentionally dc if you have a bad restart to have another shot? Its a bad precedent. Once the race starts, thats it. And if you have equipment failure i.e. a disconnect, like birdie says its akin to blowing a motor on track just bad luck. Just a season ago scorp was definitely going to win going away at monza and dc'd in the last stint so i inherited a cheap win. Sucks but it happens.

Then you wouldn`t have been the first too lose a good start ;) I have tryid that MANY times in the past , so what you are saying is that a person that have done practise the whole week , lets say 10 hours , that doesnt matter too you , nice :)

Let me tell "you" about last time it happend too me (6 days ago) , before I stop for good - I had my probaly best start ever climbing from 6th too 2nd within the first 2 corners off a race , but the race got restarted which ended out in me going down too 9th instead ,on the first lap in the restart , so please stop that ego trip , which I would call it , but thats offcourse just my opinion , and this may come as a big surprice too some apparently , I have tryid restarts in this series in the past , so why should I be disapointed now you think ? 💡

Regardless, we havent restarted for anyone since i've been here which is a rule i agree with personally. We start late every time as it is and in my opinion once a race is started its official. I dont hold any power whatsoever in organizing this league so arguing with me about it will yield no results though.

I truly hope to race with you and hope you decide to finish out the season. If you're only here to win though you are missing the point i'd say. Friendly competition is what snail is all about whether you win or lose. I've had more fun finishing 9th than winning in this league.

I totally agree its friendly competition , but I just dont find it friendly , that it apparently has become like it is now , and I very seldom disconnect , but all in all I must say that iam not staying up over half the night when it is like that , think about that your time off day + 6 hours is my my time off day , but still I never complaint about any restarts making it allmost impossible for me to stay awake , as I have liked the ppl I have been driving against , so ....... but good luck too all in the future and have fun .....

What are the OLR for restarts? Let's use those and not make up our own rules.

6.3

SNAIL Policy on Driver Disconnections.

For the purpose of this section, the start of the countdown timer for the qualifying session is the start of the race for the first race of each combo and the start of the countdown timer is the start of the race for the second race in each combo. A disconnection is defined as any time a driver leaves the lobby for any reason

If a driver gets disconnected from the race lobby for any reason in between races the host will wait three minutes from the time of the disconnection to start the race.

A driver will be given the three minutes to rejoin the lobby for a total of 3 disconnects per night. If a driver disconnects for a fourth time, the host will NOT give them the three minutes to return.

If a driver has been given three minutes and is not back in the lobby, the host must start the race and that driver misses the race.

If a driver gets disconnected from the race lobby during a race for any reason, the host will NOT terminate the race to allow a disconnected driver to rejoin upon their return.

As long as the driver started the race they will receive points for that race.

The only acceptable times for a host to terminate a race in progress is if:

1. A driver is stuck on the race starting grid. This normally only effects the host of the room and is a known glitch in GT6

2. If there is a disconnection of multiple drivers (4 or more) at the same time from the race lobby. This does not mean 4 drivers disconnecting over the course of a race, it means at least four drivers getting disconnected at the same time.

______________________________________________________________________________________

"These are not suggestions or guidelines. These instructions must be followed by all hosts and drivers. If you are a host and can't or won't be willing to follow this policy, please let us know and we will work to find a host who can and will follow this policy."

Now unlike the quoted above these are suggestions based upon every driver in the races personnel opinion. Ex: if it is likely to decide a championship the other person involved in said championship can declare a restart. Yes I am flexible to all rules within the snail guidelines.

But a new driver, which although you are known @SRT DK Racing you are ineffec a new driver, to this series as you left voluntarily.

If I am being forced to put a true outline in effect for GT1 it would be this: If you get DC'ed during qualifying upon the conclusion of qualifying the race will be aborted to allow that driver in, a manual grid line up will ensue and the DC'ed player will start last.

If another person on the track feels that aborting the race would make the racing better they can call for an abortion by exiting the track and typing "RESTART". As long as it is within the first 2 laps of a race.

As I said above although the OLR is the letter of the law within snail we are allowed to pick and choose how we in GT1 use it.

We are a tight knit group and although we race for "points" we race for fun most importantly.

Let's just agree that I at no time have said that there should have been a restart, everything I've said is my opinion about it and why I chose to stop running race in the middle of the night, or rather early morning for my part and I seriously doubt that anyone off the drivers here would chose too say/deside differently , just a guess offcourse , but like I said before , good luck too you all in the future races , hope you will have fun despite all things......

Ok so the wheel is OFFICIALLY ordered no gimmicks this time and it will be here Wednesday hopefully by race time. So i am officially entering this season with...

Car: Dodge Viper GTS Launch Edition
Color: Same as usual
Number: 23

I hope there will be a good turn-out at the GT-1 Practice tonight (usual time).
We need "traffic" on the track to help understand the When to Pass and "I shouldn't try it there" Pass.

Drafting down the Long Straight will temp folks to try a pass just before Turn 1.
It's kinda narrow there. (or is it "their", "ther", "thar"?)

Wouldn't want that to ruin "the other guy's race" because ..........
well, sort of like "I bet I can beat the train to the crossing".

Very expensive last Sunday on credits, reason I could not make it last wed. or round 2 coming up, I should be able to grind and definitely make last 3 rounds, I do know I need to change car reason needing more credits to test.

I wish we could file share then I could grind for you tomorrow (since I'm not doing anything) I could easily get you over 20 mil

The redbull challenge makes the best money for the full series however the Route X race makes the fastest money for the least amount of work even bob wins it with the right car.

If you're a ps plus member that's the only way to file share as it save to the cloud.

I just sold off car's I hadn't used in a year and one's I possibly won't.
and to no avail, the powers that be didn't reply to even say NO!

I ran 3 Quick Match races last night with just 1 other car in the room. Came 2nd twice and won once and earned 1.2 million credits. The races only lasted around 4 minutes each so invest a little time in this or what Birdy suggested and your money issues can be solved quickly.
