Ok did some driving...had to rethink my ideas. Audi is pretty sketchy. Played with settings...still pretty sketchy. Really wanted to like it...played with it more...still really really sketchy.

Didn't want to drive all of them and I wanted to drive something different than what others are driving so I tried the Aston, Caddy and the Ruf. Liked all of those but I instantly took a liking to how the Ruf handles for me. With stock settings it just felt great. Of course I used to drive/trackday an old 911 so it figures.

So I will be driving the Ruf #26.

Now to figure out how to make a pit strategy...bleh this game is so complicated.

So I read the OP and was wondering if there were any tire restrictions? I can start with any tire I want and change to any tire I want?

I think I was remembering GGGs series where you had to use different compounds during the race.

You are correct, give that man a cookie.

In Pcars there is no way to verify the tire choice, therefore the tire choice is up to the driver.

So when you set a pit strategy, the tires and fuel you put in there is what you get every time you stop?

No way to start on one tire and change to another? Or if you stop twice, to get different tires or fuel each time?

Not that I'm planning a super elaborate strategy...just trying to understand how it works.

You can set up multiple strategies and switch quickly when you go into the pits.

@Fallen_log what will the weather be tonight? And what's the projected weather for next week?

You would set up multiple strategies for each scenario. I recently had set up 4 different scenarios for a race which included full damage. One for full stop, gas, tires repair, next for repairs only, next for tires only, next for tire type change. Can get very involved.

Adding to the discussion regarding strategies...

Am I correct in assuming we are forced to start the race with the same compound if tire we qualified on? Also, just for the sake of discussion; if a "warmup" was utilized, would that allow drivers to change tire compound from that which was used to qualify? Not that I'm in favor, just posing the question.

So when you pit how do you tell it which pit scenario to use?
There is a menu called "view saved", hover over your pit strategy and press triangle. It should then say "yes" in the dark grey box for your pit strategy.

I've actually been thinking about putting a 5 min warm up for bathroom breaks and such before the race. Which in turn would allow those to switch compounds. This will be allowed as even if I wanted to I couldn't enforce it.

That was fun tonight. Now we all learned, how much Fallen has improved and his ability to beat many drivers, his love of GT3 class and his real identity, your cover has been blown, penguin.:lol::lol:

I will need everyone that hasn't done so already to confirm their car and livery choice ASAP please
