The Pit Board​

I have to be honest. I am not a writer by any means and I have never done anything like this (The Pit Board) in my life. This is one of those instances that I think to myself that I really have lost my mind. I can't thank all of you for giving me the opportunity to do something like this.

I guess what it all comes down to is that we are all just a little Ooopty McGoofty for being so passionate about this. Who cares. It is fun, exciting and helps us all escape from some of the more mundane hell of real life. Thank you zer0, 'cheeb and all of you SNAILS for making this my favorite asylum!

I do have to disagree with you though, I think you are a writer. Each week you take a different look at S.N.A.I.L. and elicit emotion, feedback and provide incite into what happens here. Thank you for that.

Would it be an issue if I got an FR for D1, since I was in D2, for practices and proving my racecraft? Since a lot of you go there and not public, I thought it would allow me to demonstrate my racecraft to a broader snail group rather than the snails I race with more frequently.

Snail has definitely helped me get away from reality this past week, my 6 year old lab has recently been diagnosed with heart cancer and we'll probably have to put her down next week, so thank you snail for still being here when times are tough.

For those of you who haven't tried S.P.E.C. yet, now is the perfect time to give it a whirl. All you need is access to the D2 lounge and you're set! They've developed a unique format that allows drivers to enjoy the challenge and strategy of an endurance race while simultaneously eliminating the main drawback that most endurance races have. The drawback I'm referring to is when the field gets spread out due to the length of the race, which causes a lot of drivers to just hot lap by themselves. 👎

Their new format take a "best of both worlds" approach to solve this problem and it's based on on the effects of that happens when a caution flag comes out in a real life race. In other words, it has nothing to do with boost! Be sure to check out the new S.P.E.C. rules so that you can find out more about how the system works. It may sound complicated at first, but it's actually quite simple. And don't worry about memorizing anything either. All instructions and reminders will be given verbally during the race so all you have to do is "follow the crowd".

Thanks you guys... Rough week but because of all of you, the past couple of days have been pretty damn cool!

@Dangerzone... I feel for you brother. We are huge animal fans and with my wife growing up on a dairy farm, the loss of a family member and furry friend is very hard.

In D1 for some much needed practice

I think I may be way off the pace tomorrow. Even with 2 practice sessions, I'm just really slow in the S2000 at TokyoR. And for the Lotus at Madrid, I have one good lap every five laps or so, but I'm just so inconsistent and seem to be a magnet for the walls. Very small margin for error for both those city tracks.

Camaro LM at Fuji is the only combo I feel somewhat confident and comfortable with.

It looks like I won't have a Camaro, is it OK if I just race the first two races and then either leave the room or just watch the race? If the Camaro isn't voted off I'll get it in the UCD but its 200 game days away and I can't see myself getting through them before tomorrow.

You can cycle through game days by going to the license tests. Go into the first one, click next test, one day down. Click next test, another day down. Go up to the tenth test and then back down, nineteen days done. It works and you don't have to drive a lap. Granted it's quite boring, but if you have some time, it can be done.

If you'd rather not do that, sticking around and watching is cool 👍

UGH.. I just spent half an hour trying to get jmoneykillaz an S2K, but each my all three of my PS3's say they've reached their send limit for the day even though I only used one of them to send a car ticket. I noticed this the last time I tried to do this as well, but was hoping it was just a fluke. Any ideas why sending something from only one PS3 would force my other two PS3 to wait for the daily reset as well? It's by IP address isn't it? Or is the fact that I link under the same IP for multi-monitor setup what causing the issue? That would be understandable I guess, but it wasn't an issue before..
