Who else is planning to try Driftins event tonight? I am building a car for it and I am no tuner. If anyone else is working on a car, it might be cool to get together this afternoon and see if I am even in the ballpark...

If you guys haven't read the Speed Secrets series of books, they're good too..there's a compiled one, now too.. "Ultimate Speed Secrets". By Ross Bentley.
 
I enjoyed the video so much I've ordered the book. Probably order Speed Secrets next. Yeah I'm a bit of a geek. But I can kick butt so it's OK.

It is a shame that some of these cars got only 1 chance to compete, thus, bring them out of the garage and get them ready to race.

Nurb Recycler around Nurburing Nordschleife 2 laps with fast tire ware.

Lexus LFA '10
Lamborgini Countach LP400 '74
Lotus Esprit V8 '02
Nissan Sylvia spec R Aero (S15) '02
Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione '08
Toyota Supra 3.0GT Turbo A'00

200HP limit and it can be any FR heavier than 700kg. This is obviously keeping it to cars like the Miata/Roadster so it should level the field for everyone :)

So I have a car put together (I think). I am still not sure what kind of racing this will be. The You Tube post said it is going to be 1 on 1? If you have a minute, could you elaborate a little more on the racing format? I may have missed it or am just a little slow today!

So Im sure alot of us have seen the videos I've posted from our touge event we did a while back. I am thinking about doing the same format only with a few differences. Still a 1v1 race but only with a 30-40 second run. (The second and third section of this new custom track) Both drivers starting from a roll of say 30mph and the first one to cross the line (and the end of the third section heading into the final straight) wins. In also thinking about make it a best 2 of 3 since the runs are so short. Making sense now Exo? :)

Any thoughts on what we are going to do for the Buttkicker challenge? Oh and have the combos been picked? Lol. Just kiddin

Are we using just stock Mazda or can we use the Mazda roadster TC ?


If it's stock Mazda with on 200hp/700k can we add downforce parts such
As wings and the stock Mazda is around 850k weight maybe we could do 200hp with max weight 850k

Performance points don't matter, just the 200HP and greater than 700kg. :)
