Full bodied, production based race series will routinely run over the curbs to the point of having two (or more) tires well off the ground. Watch some NASCAR at Sonoma and see how far off the ground those tires are when bouncing over curbs.

This from the V8 Supercars:

This is the kind of thing that you probably wouldn't want to do in an F1 car but it's considered the normal racing line in these racing series and most production based series.
Not to mention the lose of traction while you wait for the landing, I've inadvertently, unintentionally done this!, it really slows me down at the point it happened and it screws my rhythm into the next turn.

I did in fact offer a simple solution many many posts ago. And mr. Fancy pants isnt bragging but he does have a right to defend himself when insulted. You call me an idiot then say I'm bragging when I say I'm not? Get a grip on the logical flow of that debate bro.

I don't recall anyone calling you an idiot. If it occurred, I'd like to see it. With that being said, just because someone has a degree or an advanced degree doesn't mean they're not also capable of acting like an idiot at times. Some of the people with the least amount of common sense I know happen to have an advanced degree. Just because someone is able to finish a program at a school does not mean they are any smarter than anyone else walking the earth.

I will agree that you posted a possible solution to your perceived issue and it is something that the stewards will take a look at. I will also agree that you have really been arguing for the sake of arguing as you keep stating that you understand but continue to nit pick about the language used when in reality, it's clear to most when the entire document is used together. Anyone can pick out selected lines and make a case that they don't make sense on their own. You have to use the entire document to understand and that will never change. The OLR is not, under any circumstances, designed to be able to scan over it and have a full and complete understanding. It is meant to be read in full and digested and then understood.

What part of
"unless otherwise stated"
can just easily mean
"unless otherwise stated by the stewards prior to the race."
do you not see?
C'mon man.

Although "unless otherwise stated" can include "unless otherwise stated by the Stewards prior to the race", "unless otherwise stated by the Stewards prior to the race" cannot mean simply "unless otherwise stated". Meaning, C can be an exception to F since it is otherwise stated. But F cannot be an exception to C because "F" was not stated by a Steward to be an exception to C prior to the race.

But whatever. We're all clear on the rules now.

While doing IT support I once had a user with three degrees tell me her monitor did not tilt and swivel. I asked her to show me and instead of grabbing the flat panel monitor she grabbed the computer that it was resting on and tried to move that:dunce:

When I grabbed the monitor and moved it for her it did not even register with her that she was an idiot.

And here, Bowler specifically says BEYOND THE RUMBLE STRIP, which implies the physical object bordering the track. NOT a layer of paint.

Now do you want to accuse me of being an idiot and being the one claiming the OLR is confusing? All I've tried to do is explain why people are debating the clarity of the rule.

You're pretty good at only reading what you want to see when it supports your pointless argument. The picture that this refers to was of the V8 supercar bouncing over a rumble strip. In that picture, which has nothing to do with Monza, there was a painted area of what appears to be smooth pavement behind the rumble strip and that is what I was referring to. Once again, you have taken something either out of context or taken a part of it to suit your motive. This doesn't make you an idiot by any means, it just makes you very annoying and I am finished dealing with your nonsense before I say something I may regret later.

Question for people. I realize that I have driven more miles in GT6 since it came out than I have in real life. My GT total is about 2400 my real life about 2000. Just curious what other peoples GT totals are. Anyone want to share?

Seriously??? I think that this tet-a-tet between JLBowler and swg is getting a little annoying now and not looking too good in our respectful thread. You guys are both amazing and so...so just Sssssccchuuuch:irked:

Hi, I'd like to join your racing league.
@jamilla,
Thanks for your interest!
We would love to have you in the league. Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by midnight EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. The Race Director or Primary Host from the corresponding SNAIL Division will send you a PSN friend request. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7' based off your placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.

Already sssssccchuuuch'd :)

So as long as we keep 2 wheels on the rumble strips we're ok right?

I didn't feel like reading the argument posts for 30 minutes because I'm sure I won't find a simple answer there anyway. I figure it's just easier to ask.

You must keep 2 wheels in the red/white of rumble strips or kerbs. If the the strip is divided the green side is not considered within the track boundry. If in doubt green is always bad, consider it grass.

Unfortunately many people did. One solution mentioned was to be sure you hit accept within 2 seconds of the update alert popping up. Hope you get it sorted.

I've tried to apply it 4 times already. It takes me back as if I had not shut down the PS3 down properly and does the check disk sequence.

I'd love to join in as well! I'll just take the post already up here on what to do to join as mine if its alright ;)
