I have to say as someone who's owned a DFGT, G27 and T500 if you want to be fast get a G27. I love my T500 but I can not go as fast with it as I could with my G27. I sold the G27 because I prefer the feel of the the T500 and because I love the Bodin load cell I have on mine. If I was going for ultimate pace again like for GT Academy or Seasonals I'd get a G27 again.

Am curious as to Why the T500 would be "slower" than a G-27. And if any other League members can offer an opinion about the two wheels. About time to replace my G-27 with either a new one, or the T-500.

D6 goes to Friends Only this week as we do not have the promised Community Features yet.

I will be sending out the rest of my PSN Friend requests for D6 this morning. After @JLBowler indicates we are not adding new drivers for the week, I will stop for the week.

I do not know what the cap is on PSN Friends, I think it is 100? If I have to remove anyone, I will base it off of how long it has been since you raced/posted. Deadwood is removed first.

sent you a friend request

I'm running some practice if anyone wants to join me.

Edit: Nevermind. I'll probably try again later.

Attention Division 5 Drivers

Yes!! Division 5 is also going to a friends only lounge this weekend! This is the first of several notifications so that nobody misses out. If you are driving in D5, please send a PSN FR to Tex36 and myself. I will be sending out PMs later today as a reminder. We will make sure everyone is set by tomorrow afternoon! Thank you!

Requesting to join this league. This will be my first racing league. ;)

@Iceman88 Skills should be along shortly for the official welcome message. In the meantime, read through the first post of this thread and the associated links for what to expect and if you want, you could go back a page or two or three and find a welcome message to another new driver and use the instructions there to get a jump on things. We do have a sign up deadline now of Midnight on Saturday for all the stuff you need to get submitted, and you can be set to race this Sunday (tomorrow). If that deadline is missed, you will surely be all cleared for the following Sunday.

@Dragonwhisky I thought the deadline was by Midnight on fridays?

23:59EST on Saturday. That gives me enough time to place and shuffle and have it ready for the division messages to go out Sunday morning. It also gives Oshawa-Joe all day Sunday to update the drivers list. Friday was though about but I realized that one day was enough time to get done what needed to be done.

Understood. This thread moves so quickly some times it hard to keep track of everything.

With new driver incoming each week, are we gonna see a divisiom 8 tommorow night? At what time are we able to see the final division placement ? Thanks

@Iceman88,
Thanks for your interest!
We would love to have you in the league. Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by midnight EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. The Race Director or Primary Host from the corresponding SNAIL Division will send you a PSN friend request. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7' based off your placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.

Important S.N.A.I.L. Division Announcement

We are in the midst of realigning the Divisions to make space for an Eighth S.N.A.I.L. Division.

These changes primarily affect Divisions 4, 5, 6 & 7, however, all Divisions have seen some movement.
Later tonight I'll post where you can view the results of the realignment.

We are seeing unprecedented growth, your support and patience are vital to our continued success.

Thanks 👍

Thanks to everyone in the Steward Corp that made the effort to get reviews done this week. You know who you are. It's been especially frustrating, playing this lottery.
Don't forget to claim your $hells for attempting reviews.
