@Dragonwhisky : I watched Horsepower last night as well... I wondered how long it would take before that rig got a mention here... Holy smokes!! Actually, the entire show was pretty cool!
@Handlebar... Thank you.

@JoeW

You know you are right, this is a GT6 section. I just get/got excited to share racing experiences with this great group of people. Many I call friends.

I get where you're coming from and can respect that stand.

I've already made plans to remove two PS3's from my rig as I won't be playing GT6 ever again. I'm def not gonna come back to GT at all. Seriously the game has wore me thin. I take my SIM racing serious. While it is fun and all. I expect more to be able properly compete. DC's. Lag. Lack of features just doesn't satisfy my desires with in SIM Racing.

Best of luck to all you guys. Throughly enjoyed my time here. Hopefully the SNAIL iRacing side does grow. If anyone ever needs anything. Fab work, questions, etc. PM me. I'm always down to help a fellow SNAIL.

With that I'm gonna unsubscribe as truly I have no reason to be here as Joe has made clear.

Later all,
Jeff

I never got to race with you, but I hate that I may not get the opportunity so soon. I'll probably not permanently switch to anything else. the GT series has played a huge part in who I am today, I couldn't just walk away so soon.

Although, if a Project CARS off-shoot of S.N.A.I.L. does form, you can bet I'll be there.

@OwensRacing

I have always considered you one of top drivers and class acts of the league.

No reason you can't hang out and shoot the breeze about life, cars etc.

But the iracing talk/gt bashing just wears thin. It's like going into a restaurant and telling everyone that it sucks and there is a better joint across the street. Then trying to lead them across the street.

No worries...I am no moderator nor am I in charge so I may be way off base.

I like the suggestions so far, but I would want to increase the range of that middle group for the street cars. a range of 50 PP just seems to small to me. I submit the following as my two cents:

Tire Restrictions: (based on Dealership PP)
Street Cars
below 399 PP -> Comfort Soft
400-499 PP ---> Sport Hard
500-599 PP --> Sport Medium
600 PP & up-->Sport Soft
Race Cars
below 599 PP -> Sport Soft
600-699 PP --> Racing Hard
700 PP & up--> Racing Medium
Tuner Cars
Classified as either Street or Race cars based on this list

I will try these out Nina bit and let you know what I think afterwards.

As of this post, here is the current list of the
Allen Berg Racing Schools Challenge picks. If you are a finalist, please post on this thread that you agree to the terms and conditions of the contest and that you're ready to make your picks. Once @KTR5 authorizes you to proceed with your numbers selection, click the 'Reply' button below and then add your name next to any numbers that are still available. Be sure that you don't make more picks than the number of picks you have earned. Once you're done making your picks, you need to delete the text above the Allen Berg Racing SChologo (it looks like this: [qu0te="username, post: 1234567, member: 123456"]). After you've deleted that, hit the 'Post Reply' button down below. Please be sure that you are replying to the latest list before making your picks. Good luck!

Introducing the GranStand.
The GranStand racing stand system is fully modular, allowing for customization beyond the efforts of many others on the market. This also allows for selection of a model that fits not only your needs, but your budget as well, and always allows for additional modules.

The GranStand Challenge III Points have been updated with the races run on March 9th. If you find something amiss with your points, let me know asap, thanks!

Don't forget your exclusive S.N.A.I.L. discount on all GranStand products!

@kcheeb
Is there a directors/host document where all the lap count , qualifying times , pp and all that for combos . If so would I be able to get access as I'm the new host for D2....thanks

Racing Note:
It is awesomely incredible that the Nissan Delta wing with half the HPs is able to hang in tough with the P / PC Prototypes @ Sebring. Very intense racing and battles all over the track.

Myself cheering for 01 Car of team Ganassi with Pruett/Rojas.

Basically all that info is available in post #2.

Running 5 laps at Ascari will put some of the divisions nearing 13 minutes for total time. In the RED room on Thursday, we ran 4 laps in round 1 and 9 in round 3.

We actually don't have a one stop shop for all that information, hmmmmm. You can get lap count and PP from the second post. The Directors Document has the amount of qualifying time for each Round in it.

But, we try to limit the number of people accessing that document on race night, as Google docs will start lagging if too many people are accessing it at one time. And we don't want to slow race night down any more than it currently can be.

So, the D2 score keeper can either tell you the amount of time, @zer05ive can add that information to the second post or I can make a lookup sheet that will summarize it for the hosts. My preference would be for it to be in the second post, seems like a logical place for it.

EDIT: wow double ninja :lol:

A note on track re-entry after going out of bounds: It doesn't matter what caused the off track excursion. The driver that is out of bounds, for whatever the reason, is under the burden to rejoin the racing surface in a safe manner that will not impede or cause other drivers to take evasive action.

If a driver is disconnected between the first race of a round and the reverse grid race, especially if that driver finished high in the order, and reconnects prior to the reverse grid starting, a manual grid should be accomplished. If any of the hosts or directors are unsure how to accomplish a manual reverse grid, send me a PM and I'll provide instructions on how it's done. The other option, in a case like this, is for the driver that got DCed and reconnected, to pull over before turn one and let the field go by until he/she can slot in at their appropriate reverse grid starting position.

The Polyphony Digital Gran Turismo 6 Replay Lottery appears to have turned off the lights and shut it's doors. Thankfully.

@jobyone has taken over duties as Division 1 Steward. @Neovre has joined the Steward Corp as an At Large Steward. Thank you both for stepping up and taking on these responsibilities.

These changes affect the final standings.
Full final results can be found here. @zer05ive & @kcheeb, these adjustments have been made in the director's and results sheets.
***If you were penalized and would like further explanation regarding the incident, PM your Division Steward and they will let you know what the stewards saw and our opinions on it.***

Question to the Stewards!
With the rule modified at Ascari (out of bounds); while chasing cars I've seen a lot of dust bunnies which means tire is touching the grass at the end of the rumble strip. I think most will be trying to stay within bounds but with the tight chicanes, bumping and different racing lines will be quite a feat.

If you happen to touch the grass not because you want to short cut but just lack of car control, how can you avoid the penalty? Count to 1/1000th? Lift off?

Will the stewards be looking for those dust bunnies when full racing is going on?
