Nice car @lousteezy, my favorite era of car. As prevalent as 80s cars where when I started driving, it seems the crushers have been doing their work, cause it is getting harder and harder to find parts for a lot of these older machines. I have an 85 1st gen Rx7, and parts just keeping going up in cost and rarity. I'm sure its the same for that Toyota. Great car though. Not sure how old you are, but trust me when I say, never let her go. I sold my first rx7 and still regret it nearly 15 years later. I love the one I have now, but my first.... I will never forget her....
Thanks for your interest!
We would love to have you in the league. Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:
We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:
1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test
2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by 23:59 EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.
3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.
4. The Race Director or Primary Host from the corresponding SNAIL Division will send you a PSN friend request. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.
5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍
The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.
If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.
During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.
I want to second this and add @Drgreenthumb977. Fantastic practice last night!
It is 10 minutes to the deadline to make a suggestion for a track to replace Ascari and so far there is one suggestion. I am going to extend the deadline by 30 minutes to 5:30 PM ET. The following drivers are eligible to make a suggestion for a track. So far, Deep Forest (forward) is the only suggestion out there.
Thanks for the info. I can not open the (Time Trial) link though.
Sorry, I was too busy this week to check the forum and never saw this post. If I would have gotten it in my inbox, I would have seen it.
No worries though. I approve of the selections
Just tried it. The link is working for me.
That's why I tagged you in the post.
I'm up for it tonightIs anyone interested in some Mystic Racing tonight??? Please reply to this post if you. If there's enough interest, I'll set up a room at 10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific. These "mystic" sessions only last an hour, so there's minimal time commitment! Give it a try!
I could be down, I've been looking for an excuse to spend the time to mount my new shifter on the rig
I'll do my best to be there.
id love to join and watch tonight if the room isnt full. Im currently still clicking my dfgt seq shifter.
Interesting, I'll be there.
Hey Guys, I made a time zone error in my post this morning. The usual time we've been doing Mystic Racing has actually been 11pm Eastern / 8pm Pacific. If you guys can wait until the usual time, then great. If not, just start without me and I'll join in late. Sorry for the confusion, but please post your intentions either way.I'm up for it tonight
That's the beauty of it. You don't need to do anything to join other than join the room number that I post. There's no cars to buy or oil to change. There's nothing to practice either since nobody knows what car or track we'll be racing until the event starts. This event is all about casual racing and having fun bangin' gears with your fellow SNAILs.I'll do some mystic racing tonight! How do I join?

@RinnFah I know last night you said you like using the clutch and gearshift. You should check out Mystic as you must use the clutchHey Guys, I made a time zone error in my post this morning. Troggy,
I'm ok to start at 11 eastern. Gotta dust off the ol' clutch pedal and make sure it still works.Hey Guys, I made a time zone error in my post this morning. I believe @JLBowler should be along to update you before then.I sent my time trial time a few days ago but haven't received my division PM yet, will I be racing Sunday?
Click here for all the details! I just got back home and see that nobody's opened up a room yet so we'll be starting at 11pm Easters / 8pm Pacific. In other words, I'll be posting the room number in 25 minutes. What is this mystic race of which you speak? If it involves driving a car on a track in a rigorous and fast manner, count me in.
