Question: Will 20 minute races require Pit Stops?
Some are not experienced in Race Strategy, per se.
If Pit Stops: Perhaps a full course pit stop midway and then re-start according to current position.

Got your vote computed. I don't think that pits are needed for these. We are just basically doubling the number of laps that were originally run. I don't foresee a need for pit stops.

Can everyone here tentatively confirm if you are able to race on Friday Night 9:30-10PM EST start time.

I don't think this has been mentioned yet, but for anyone not seeing the information about update 1.06 being released on the 7th; PD has announced the maintenance time, and like last time it'll be starting shortly after we finish on Sunday night.

It is going to be very important for all hosts and directors to keep things moving this Sunday night. Without unexpected delays, the Sunday night racing can be done in 2 hours. That gives 30 minutes of delay for disconnects or just plain wasting time in between races. Start on time, stay on top of the results, and get the settings changed quickly and there shouldn't be an issue. Remember, if someone disconnects during the time between races, they have three minutes before the host should start the next race. If someone disconnects during the race, their three minute clock starts when they DC, not from the end of the race.

  • 1st Combo
    Renault Sport Megane Trophy Base Model '11
    at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
2nd Combo would be either the (vote)

      • DC5 @ Ascari or Deep Forest - 1 Vote
      • Red Bull Jr @ Twin Ring or Autumn Ring both cars had a 2 week run
        • RB Jr. @ Twin Ring 1 Vote
      • Renault Clio @ Ascari (track perspective Ascari ran twice) - 4 Vote
3rd Combo would be either (vote)
You each get a vote for Combo 2 and combo 3 as dictated above. Please vote by 8pm EST. At that time voting will close and will post the combos to be run.
I think combo 2 and 3 should be up for votes by the participants.
I like the idea of DW to run it this way HERE.
If this champion of champions was done with a reverse division grid, it might make it more interesting. D8 folks in the front, D1 in the back, for every race. Make every race 20 minutes and only run 3, 1 of each of the 3 longest standing combo's for the month.

I'll add to that twist with a, double the point payout for each position from the usual Sunday point system, he who ends the night with the most points is the Champion of Champions for the March Season. Winner gets a hatcake. From somebody.

Question......more than likely I will not have enough funds to buy the Mazada. When I race the first round, do I just hang around in the room until the 3 combo starts. or do I have to check out and come back in.....a very new PSP/GT6 user?
 
If I get moved to D4 I will again volunteer for Hosting/Back up Host/Director duties. Actually pretty much wherever I land I can volunteer for this service ;)

Bought the Lancia and Miata today and did a couple laps with my digital controller before I had to step out. Both seem decent. You actually can't stand on the gas all the way around in the Miata like I thought...some throttle feathering required in certain areas. Should be fun.

The Lancia needs you to make sure you get all your braking done before you turn the steering wheel. Understeers...but I think the racing will be close.

Have a feeling it will be voted off first though ;)

Silly but good question guys, are we allowed to adjust brake balances on the cars? I noticed its not caught by the tuning restriction in the game, but I wanted to ask your opinion on what S.N.A.I.L allows. Thank you

Yes, we are allowed to adjust the Brake Balances ...... but that is all. Period. (and that is a definite "period" - no manipulating in SNAIL)

Thank you @TEX36, yea I don't manipulate but I was just wondering hoping improve that Lancia a bit on braking.

We are allowed to, but only because we are not able to disallow it. If we were able to block brake bias changes, it would not be allowed.
