It's a pretty popular anti Canadian epithet, possibly coined by Pat Buchanan, but I seem to remember it being around longer than that.

Apparently this is actually a real thing.

That makes perfect sense knowing who it came from, that guy is a real class act!

this is msk1995, i got a message on psn would love to join!

@msk1995

Here's your official S.N.A.I.L. Welcome Post!

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by 23:59 EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. Send a PSN friend request to the Race Director or Primary Host from your assigned SNAIL Division. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday đź‘Ť

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.
If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.

Not to many bands that old that are still together and can still fill a stadium... Stones, ACDC, Aerosmith, U2 is about it I think.
One is passed on, the other doesn't play with them, but Floyd will still fill a stadium!! New album coming! Bout time, it's been 20 yrs!

So I have sent friend requests to the hosts for div 3...just want to state for the record that I don't have a keyboard on my ps3, in case anyone thought I was being short. hahaha.

Quick question...as far as practicing for the races goes, does it matter if I put miles on the car on single player mode? I'm not sure if online racing adds miles or not. Also...how long are practice rooms open for?

I would suggest not practicing in single player mode as the physics are different by all accounts.

If you do put to many miles on your car you may need to do an oil change (around 300 i believe) but you should not see a drop in PP from miles that require an engine rebuild until about 5000 miles.

Yeah I have noticed that difference in physics. Good idea, thanks for the heads up.

Jeez...my first concert was...most fitting of all...The Cars. Richmond, Va circa early 80's. The mighty Wang Chung opened up with the ever popular "everybody have fun tonight, everybody...."

Saw Rush a few times...great stuff. Van Halen was great. Guns n Roses and Metallica (together in the same concert in Orlando). Boston, even saw Winger and Great White :) Saw a lot of not so rock concerts like Ziggy Marley, Tab Benoit, Robert Cray. Chicago/Beach Boys together. The obligatory Jimmy Buffet as well.

Wish I could have seen U2. In their early years I wasn't as into them. But now that I'm an adult I wish I would have made the effort.

Best one of all? Def Leppard. Hysteria tour. Circular stage in middle of the arena. Just fantastic.

First concert was Bad Co. 1978.
Last "real" concert was Great White at a little place called The Coach House. Good steak dinner with the band on stage.
(kinda strange situation actually).
Also saw Pennywise play in a small club at a benefit show for a good friend of mine. Great show.
Lots of arena concerts in the 80's.

I really wanted to see Joe Bonamassa in concert back in December, but didn't have the cash. Maybe next year.

My first concert was Led Zeppelin at MSG in '77. Two of the best shows, ever, for me were Frank Zappa And The Mothers;) and Emerson, Lake and Palmer. Pink Floyd and The Grateful Dead are not to far behind.

Going to see King Crimson in Sept:)

Best concert I ever saw was Ministry at lalapolooza 92 in Atlanta. Kirk Hammett and Kim Thayil were on stage with them. I never expected them to be good live but it was incredible:)

What? Ineligible part of Canada?

That is as ridiculous as it sounds. That's like saying only certain US states are eligible.

Sorry to hear it...time to move...for a year :)
Residents of Quebec are often ineligible for many prizes , sweepstakes, lotteries within Canada

Omg...I did the lalapalooza thing back in '92 ish here in Florida. Almost forgot...it was a foggy part of my life :)

That was a crazy day....

Wtf?! Doesn't make sense. It's in friggen Canada ferchrissakes.
The Regie des alcools, des courses et des jeux. Somehow this group got the power in that province. Anyone wanting Quebecers to be included in contests would have to follow their rules, and most find them rediculous so they would rather leave them out

yea crazy day. Especially making it from Knoxville to Chattanooga in an hour (110 miles) and to Atlanta in 2.5 (250 miles)

Zeppelin...Really!!! So jealous...My all time favorite band.
Love the blues also... Stevie Ray and Buddy guy big heroes of mine

First concert I went to on my own was The Rolling Stones, 1981, in Seattle. A 'bright' friend suggested we hitchhike there from Portland. We were 14-15 years old, trying to flag someone down on the Interstate for a 3+ hour ride north. We were not very successful, but somehow ended up on a poorly converted school bus that had become some sort of hippie commuter service from Canada to Mexico, rolling and coughing along with some seats, a very cheap fare, like $5 or something, and a long haired dude who served creme pies for snacks in the middle of the night. Memorable trip. I was convinced I would get caught, I am pretty sure my parents never figured it out.

The same friend and I did it again - without the hippy bus - for the The Who, Farewell Tour 1982. We went to Seattle one night, and made it back to Portland the next night for the first concert my parents knew I went to.

Ah! Stevie Ray. Scuttle Buttin' in Tin Pan Alley because The Sky Was Crying and He Couldn't Stand The Weather.

Ah! Buddy Guy. Shame, Shame, Shame. Please Don't Drive Me Away because A Little Dab-A-Doo when Someone Else Is Steppin' In.
