First: Look ma', I'm on TV. Twice!

Okay, that aside, it is great. Lot of great shots of close racing, and, I think, they were arranged well.

Also, I really do like that song, and I think PD has done a great job picking songs. At times, I think they put more work into the music and looks of the cars than they do into the gameplay. The Cardigans' song from GT2 is such a perfect GT anthem.

On to this new series idea...

I won't be able to make June 26th or July 3rd. So I am thinking of running the current parity series until then. On July 10, we can start with this idea, may through July 31? And then go back to the parity series again for August. From now until July 10, that will give us time to pick a format, recruit drivers and constructors, and get things rolling.

I'll start another thread in a moment to get discussion around that idea. I have no idea how much interest there will be. And I don't know if we'll have even interest across all three divisions, or enough interest from SNAIL alone.

Hey S.N.A.I.L.'s,

I hope you're liking the new S.N.A.I.L. introduction movie!

Our goal is to keep the video as current and interesting as possible by providing as wide a range of clips as we can get in 4 minutes and 6 seconds

To do that, I need your help. As you can imagine, going through 6 hours of video every week can be a little time consuming What I'd like, is for you to pm me the Division, Race Number and the Time in that race, of a clip you think is Intro movie worthy.

I'm not 100% sure how to decide which clips make it into the intro movie. We could get all autocratic on you and do it in the back room Or we can put them into a preview movie and then vote on the ones we like. I'm thinking we replace 3 or 4 clips, once a month, that way over time, we end up with an absolutely stellar movie! Not to mention a great archive of some of the best moments in S.N.A.I.L. racing!

The reason for asking for current clips is, we've got a pretty good representation of the cars/tracks from our recent past. Adding clips from the same races already covered would be a little repetitive. And believe me, I know repetitive, the original version of the movie was about 12 minutes long In our intro movie, I think we want to show off all the good that happens when we race, and there's a lot of it 👍

That said, if we think it's a good idea, I'm not opposed to having a 'special' movie of some of the more ignominious moments in S.N.A.I.L. (I was reading the dictionary last night). The only criteria I'd have would be, you're the only one affected by the 'event'.

Edit: a big heads up for you guys, I won't be able to do the Sunday nights for a few weeks given that my parents have flown over and will be staying with me during that time. I am guessing I won't be able to log in every day to get my GT5 bonus let alone actually set aside a couple hours to race. The earliest I'll be back would be July 1...however, that is a long weekend so I may be away then as well :/

We had some connection/personnel issues, didn't start qualifying til 11:00 EDT. Pretty sure we led the whole race, they had one driver, Chocolate_Loveee that was maintaining a top 4 or 5 for a while, but then lost connection. He was also lagging pretty harshly.

I had the worst first half of the race ever, no I mean ever. 6 penalties and a totally unforced error. Totally disgusted with myself. Second half was better, which is odd, because that's usually where my focus drops off.

It was fun doing a medium length race, enjoyed it!

I can do that. Same size? What about the background color - here is's white, but I can make that however you need it, I just need to know the exact (EXACT) color.

So what happened with the race last night?

It was chaos. One of their their is from the UK, so there was major lag issues & he was their fastest driver, none the team showed up on time. Every got pushed back an hour. Finally get all the drivers in the room, and there is connection issues. Their faster driver lagged out about 50% through the race and at the time he was in 3rd place behind me and Bronco was leading.

In the end 4/6 drivers lagged out and Team S.N.A.I.L. took the all top 6 places.

Congrats to Bronco for a near flawless drive, I think he only had on major error near lap 19 of 24 - I'm not sure what happened to him then, but he had a great run nonetheless.

Great job Team S.N.A.I.L.!

Oh, hey guys, slight change to the first half of monday nights. I'm going to take a stab at a mini rally event. Since the touge thing didnt really take off, and I really had a blast when we did some shuffle rally races, I think I want to give this a shot.
Since mondays first hour participation is generally around 5 to 8 people, I was thinking we could do 4 races, on 4 custom tracks. The race will be one lap, and the track will be as long as possible, tight, as close to special stage racing as possible. If we get 6 to 8 people we will run two classes, maybe 350pp, and 500pp. Something like this, stock class and open class. if we get 9 or more then we will split into 3 classes, 350, 450, and open. The race timer will be set as high as possible. Then racers switch classes. if you just drove 350, you now race 50o, etc. Consider this a pilot program that may become a series if it goes well.

Yeah we definitely need to remember to extend the time limit when we do these longer races. We usually do, but we've forgotten a few times as well. Sorry I didn't hear your suggestions. I would have definitely made it a point to change it.
