Hey guys, I would just like to say that I am around and that I will participate in tomorrow night's race! Also, I would like to know if there's anything going on tonight, be it practice or just racing for fun?

I just hopped into the D3 lounge... I have been away for a couple of weeks and am spinning laps... Any company would be nice!

It seems that my doctor was a member of the GT5 development team as "BACON" is a naughty word if one tries to type it a lounge... :yuck:

Always fun practicing with someone instead of all alone, specially with someone with a good attitude like you, man! 👍

PS. I'm not sure in which division I'll be racing tomorrow night... Can anyone shed a light on this for me?

Due to intense rain my camping trip has been canceled, which means I will be able to race tonight. Sorry about the false cancel.

Hey, if any of you michigan living snails are interested, got a group going disc golfing at black locust/kensington probably around 2is. Be cool to compete in something other then racing.

What you can do to help minimize connection and lag issues

1) Reboot your isp's modem/router prior to joining your SNAIL_DivisionX lounge.
2) Reboot your PS3 prior to joining your SNAIL_Division lounge.
3) Clear your GT5 in game System Cache prior to joining your SNAIL_Division lounge.

Step 1 is not usually necessary. I've found when my modem is on for long periods and not rebooted, I get connection issues in almost every game I play online. If you've experienced connection issues in the past, it's not going to hurt.

We've talked about the GTP OLR quite a bit and highlited many specific racing rules from it. Today, I want to point out some sections right at the start of the OLR.

The wording for each is simple, straight forward and to the point. The concepts being conveyed are also simple, but often overlooked in the 'heat of the battle'. If I can ask you to read these and take them to the track with you tonight, I and your fellow drivers would appreciate it.

Thanks and have fun tonight,

kcheeb

01: OLR General Rules:

D: You are expected to drive responsibly in a way that’s not likely to ruin the racing enjoyment of your fellow drivers.

G: You are expected to behave like sporting gentlepeople at all times. - changed wording for political correctness :)

H: The position of other drivers must always be respected.

I: Aggressive driving is strictly prohibited.

L: No careless driving. Always show respect for your fellow racers. Be careful. Show some patience. Understand the limitations of your car and yourself and drive accordingly. Driving online in a racing sim is NOT exactly the same as real life racing in every respect.

Anyone up for a practice at some point this afternoon to test my connection?

I might be able to practice a little. Depends on when I come home from paintball. I should be home by 8ish pm EST, so if you want, I'll practice a little because I need it too

I finally figured this photo posting out!:) Photos are from a practice race.
What does evryone think?:nervous:

Anyone know how many laps at tsukuba with the supra?

After the testing esh and I just did, we think Round 1 should be 9 laps. I've just updated the lineup post to reflect this.

Speaking of the lineup post, I finally had a chance to finish adding hyperlinks to all of the new car and track selections! Now you can just click on any of the new selections (the ones in blue) to see who made the pick.

Quick Tip: If you see a selection in blue that's also been crossed out like this, it means that it was a dreaded "one and done" selection, meaning that it was voted out after only one stint on the lineup.

Here is the speed test for my connection. It was done wirelessly on my laptop with low signal rate. My ps3 has a wired connection.
