Hello everyone,
been on GT5 for a while now and am interested in joining your spec racing league. my psn id is Torres_Dong.

I sure am!

Hey torresdong,

In that case ...

We run a clean league and enforce the GTP OLR and highly encourage all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become familiar with both.

I'll add you to the drivers list, you'll be starting in Division 3. If you can't make it on a Sunday, please be sure to give us at least 24 hours notice by posting in this forum, it makes things much simpler for us, thanks.

PSN friend requests will be sent to you from SNAIL_Division1, SNAIL_Division2 and SNAIL_Division3. Their lounges are where we race Sunday night and hold our various events. Here's a breakdown of the ways we use the different lounges.

During the week we run a number of different events feel free to jump in and partake!

The original post also has a lot of information regarding the league, commit it to memory ;)

Welcome aboard and enjoy :)

PS. Don't look at the cigars in my humidor...

They've apparently over-farmed the land in Cuba, so the cigars are no longer the quality they used to be. I believe the best cigars are coming out of New England.

Ah, hell. I googled the cuban flag twice to make sure I had it right and still didn't catch the difference.

Well, Puerto Rico is even farther away.

Rolled by Cubans.

via New Brunswick ;)

not sure where the Canadians get them ;)

The lighter color leaves come from Conn. Personally I don't enjoy the Connecticut wrappers. I find them to be rather bitter. The do serve a purpose on an otherwise sweet combination of filler and binder to even it out but those combinations have been pretty tough to find done well and at a reasonable cost.

My preference is the Torano brand. They are mostly grown and wrapped in Nicaragua with a mix of Cuban seed and others thrown in for good measure. They do some Conn. wrappers (I actually have a box of them in my humidor right now).

Link to a 10 year old article.... nice. :)

Some people really like the Connecticut shade wrappers, but I'm not a big fan myself. I'm rather fond of wrappers from Hiroshi Robaina's farm.

Yeah, best I could do quickly. I was going to post a disclaimer about that, but it turns out it's really not that important; I quit smoking anyway.

Smoke what ya like, and like what ya smoke. Taste is subjective. I have friends who really like flavored White Owls. :)

PS. Racecars!
(sorry for off-topic)

I know what you mean. I occasionally host a "smoke night" at my house in the man cave. One time I invited a guy I've played softball with and against for years. He showed up with a pack of swisher sweets. He took a little good natured ribbing and I got him to sample a real cigar (Don Tomas Maduro). Not an overly pricey stick but leaps and bounds ahead of a swisher sweet. He has never smoked another sweet or anything flavored for that matter again.

Interesting thoughts on the D3 or not position. Thanks for the thoughtful replies. It is nice to have discussions with different perspectives NOT degenerate into mayhem. Doing that on the Internet-y thing is rare, ain't it?

F#$k you. ;)

Where do they post the cars that I have to buy and when do they post them

The cars should be posted very soon. They're usually posted by now.

You'll see the posts here by sharkie and esh indicating what is changing for tonight and Sunday.

And zer05ive will post that the line up post is updated.

F#$k you. ;)

…and your opinions, too.

It would seem that sharkie has fallen off of the face of the earth. There's not going to be much time to break in a new car before practice tonight. hehe

Just waiting all day hopefully the car is mr or fr

You could practice with the round 1 car and track, it'll be in tonight and Sunday (unless of course I have a zer0 moment and have totally messed up what's going and remaining) :)

Toyota Supra 3.0GT Turbo A '88 (Sports Medium tires)

She is at work right now, should be off in an hour or 2. =)

That's fine. I just haven't heard anything from her in a couple of days–here or in the steward group…and a lot of conversation has been going on there.

I mean, "Grrr! She's not allowed to be busy!!! GT IS LIFE!!!!!! :grumpy:  ;) "

Hope this calms people a little. I talked to Devious this morning and she will announce her car/track combo when she gets home from work. Everyone should have enough time to get the car choice and get the oil change before practice tonight which also will give GTP_esh time to post his choice before practice.

Ninja'd by mopar!

You would think that after creating the formula we use to rotate cars and tracks, I might actually know how the formula works once in a while!

That's alright. At least you're now the source of a phrase. (i.e. "zer0 moment")

I'm totally using that one.
