I hate to burst your bubble...but you may be thinking of this:It was a special edition from Weissach to compete against the Vette's in the Playboy series (mid '80's). 4 valve head, larger brakes, bigger turbo and aero. Still didn't beat the Vette's often enough, but bat crazy fast.
Just copy and paste to a new reply.. Thats what I didI don't know how to add to that list

No problem...but it was Lime Rock Park, fall of '86. Goodyear put up $50K for a win with Goodyears shod car, Porsche rallied with 3 factory cars, all liveried in red, straight off the boat. Homologation was a big problem and SCCA was overwhelmed by all the factory support to their new series. Chevy was supporting all of the teams and Porsche didn't have package prior to, hence the one of the kinds. Don't really think you'll find one. They (944)were 12mph faster than the Z51 vettes down Lime Rocks little straight.
This is the 944GTP Prototype. They made two to commemorate the release of the 944 in 1981.
It is officially called the 944GTP Prototype.

You are FAST young man lol!!! I believe the knowledge you gain from this game will be very applicable when you race in real tracks. The line, the braking, driving techniques, smoothness... in this game especially using a wheel is very similar to real life.Haha. Yep never stepped foot on a racecar. Closest I have got is the karts at Miller Motorsports Park.
Haha. When and if I get into a racecar it will be big But my mom is the biggest hurdle to jumpYou are FAST young man lol!!! I drive hard with real car on autocross and track first before I played this game so I'm doing the reverse lol.

I like Jakedog putting divisions so i know what age group i am racing with.
There was no 944 S4. There were Turbo Cup cars straight from Porsche. Many 944 factory racing cars from Porsche had the 4 valve heads. This is not unusual. But there was no such thing as a 944 S4... I think you may have added the S4 yourself thinking it fit. But the 944S had 16v starting in 1987. 944 S2 and 968 cars all had 16v.
Most of their factory turbo cars starting in 1981 had 16v as well.
But there was definitely no Porsche with the designation 944 S4.
