Now that our new logo is finally a reality, it's time to feature it on some swag and ship out sponsorship packages to everyone who helped us become an official sponsor of Nick McMillen this year. I'd like to give a heart-felt thank you to everyone who chipped in so that @GumballCGT could represent SNAIL as he raced at many of the most iconic tracks in the world.

That being said, there were a number of sponsors who never sent their sponsorship money and one who requested a refund. Therefore, we're still well short of our funding goal. With that in mind, I've decided to upgrade the sponsorship packages and make them available to anyone who didn't have a chance to sign up before. Here are the new sponsorship packages:

Bronze Sponsor ($30)
You will receive a set of decals/stickers with the new SNAIL logo!

Silver Sponsor ($50)
You will receive everything listed above, plus an autographed and frameable print of Nick McMillen!

Gold Sponsor ($100)
You will receive everything listed above, plus a shirt (any size) with the new SNAIL logo! Potential design shown below:

WtWtnI8.png

Platinum Sponsor ($150)
You will receive everything listed above, plus a Flexfit hat (size S/M or L/XL) with our new logo! Potential design below:

Z8YwZ8I.png

Diamond Sponsor ($200)
You will receive everything listed above, plus an exclusive Nissan NISMO GT Academy Polo (any size) as shown below: Limited quantities! (first come, first serve)

If you are already a paid sponsor of Nick, I hope you're happy with the new sponsorship packages! Please feel free to upgrade your sponsorship package if you'd like. Also, please send me your hat size if you're a Platinum sponsor or above (I already have your shirt size if you're already a Gold sponsor or above).

If you're not a sponsor, but would like to become one, please reply to this post with the sponsorship package you would like as well as your shirt and hat size (if applicable). Thanks for your support!

PLEASE NOTE: To ensure that the decals, shirts, and hats can be made, shipped, and delivered by Christmas, these sponsorship packages will only be available for a few days. Once a final list of paid sponsors has been confirmed, I'll publish a complete list of the official sponsors and then I'll place the orders so that I can get the sponsorship packages shipped out as soon as possible.

As a TBT, here is the first SNAIL race I was in, on January 6th, 2014. Another Subaru at Deep Forest. It was a full grid, 16 crazy drivers. I finished a miserable 12th. Four of us are still active with SNAIL, @ExoSphere64, @goofytyler and @Jakedog23

If I remeber correctly I started on that day as well.

Lol I remember that race too and that was a fun combo. Now going back to my first race (but wasn't official until the week after) Was when SNAIL had their first Sunday night league race back on December 8th 2013 I was still new as I was trying out the kart league you guys had later on I found out about the spec racing the league. Later on that night I figured that i might as well check it out and see if I liked it and the whole story was funny as that's how I met @Handlebar and (racing rival) @ptslopoke and so far that I can recall is that I am still the only SNAIL that has ran a Sunday night race before actually signing up to compete on Sunday nights. And now that my one year anniversary with SNAIL is coming up I can definitely say that I have enjoyed racing with everyone that I have met and the stories we shared and I can't wait to race with many more SNAILs that I haven't raced with yet, and I hope to see some of you guys on the track soon.

Note:
I did not find a good enough track picture from SSR5, so that one will have to do.
Awesome banners! The November 16th lineup has been officially posted! :gtpflag:

Also, there's an important post listed up TOPP! :D

Yaaye, finally the sponsorship goodies are coming :D:D:D

Great practicing last night at Tex's yellow room. Too bad I had to leave for an oil change to the fast Datsun and never got the chance to return as the room stayed full but there's one thing I was very happy to see... Clean racing on practicing night. I can tell that an effort has been made to make practicing nights as clean as Sunday races as possible.

An idea:
How cool would be to book up a race with veterans only (2 year old and older Snails) with two special guests, Zer05ive and Kcheeb?
And try to hook back rallywagon, dabney and other good old schoolers for it, huh?

Hook back? Pshh, I've never been gone, just lurking. In the words of L.L. Cool J, "Don't call it a come back, I've been here for years." And I will soon be back in your mirrors Schmiggy.
But I agree, it would be cool to get on track with them, I wonder if anyone can get ahold of Ap?

Sorry for late throwback entry...

My first race was back in March 18, 2012, with the first ever expansion to three divisions.

Combos way back then:

Alfa Romeo Brera Sky Window 3.2 JTS Q4 '06 @High Speed Ring (1 and done / eliminated that night)

Honda S2000 '06 @Autumn Ring (Prize B - did this become the S2000 @ Deep Woods / Reverse - the one @dabneyd loved?)

AMUSE Nismo 380RS Super Leggera @ Daytona Road Course (what a handful for a new to online driver with a controller)

Back then, these guys were already racing:

@Rallywagon @JLBowler @AJKVail @cmbeal317 and tcrash

I've learned a lot, and moved up in the pack a tiny bit, and enjoyed a great deal.

I'd like to jump up from the Gold Package sponsorship that I sent before (as KTR5) to the Diamond Package. Size S/M hat and size medium polo. Looks great!!! A check will be in the mail on Monday.

As an interesting note... last night the Yellow Room was the first one to get to full capacity. We had a full grid at Monza which was very fun; I know that there were a few trying to get to Yellow when it was full and as soon as one left it was quickly replaced.

Overall the night went without major hiccups and a shoot out to @TEX36 for the hosting the Yellow room, @racingchamp30 for hosting Red and @dgaf95integra for hosting Blue.

I hadn't joined at that point; I joined about a month later. The combo I loved (that I also picked) was the NSX RM @ Motegi east or west, I can't recall right now.

I can't do much research on my phone during working hours but if I'm not mistaken my first snail race was mid July 2012 and combos... I remember the M3CSL at Indy road course and the S2000 around Grand valley reverse but not 100% sure about all of this facts.
Another thing is I think I Joined the same day as Chatva and Tex.

Alright then Captain, here's my pick!

Acura NSX RM '91 at Twin Ring Motegi East Course

I totally did not see Pilmat's post before I wrote this...

Thanks dabneyd and GumballCGT for making your picks!

The August 26 Lineup has been set!

See you guys at practice races in 3 hours!

This weeks car lineup

Honda Civic 08 PP 420
7863893562_581b04f5cd_b.jpg

7863894036_5a938e0d7a_b.jpg

BMW M5 PP 521

My first race was Aug. 26 2012 in D5. The Acura NSX RM was a blast. I ended in the back bu not last which was my goal at that time.

  1. jobyone ------------ voted to eliminate Round 3 wins Prize C because D5 has already won Prize B this month and there is no limit on how many times Prize C can be won by a division (scored 95 points)
  2. Vol_Jbolaz ---------- voted to eliminate Round 1
  3. TEX-36 ------------- voted to eliminate Round 3
  4. lifesagamble420 ----- voted to eliminate Round 3
  5. Skills_19657 --------- voted to eliminate Round 3
  6. Handlebar-Man ------ voted to eliminate Round 3
  7. Wolfsatz ------------ voted to eliminate Round 1
  8. KuuKriine ------------ voted to eliminate Round 2
  9. g-MachineREX ------- did not submit a vote

Bummed I missed practice last night. My Buffalo Bills really stunk up the joint which made for a boring game. By the time I got home practice was over. I'll be grinding out laps this weekend at our new venues. Hope to see some of you online!

Hey Team,

Just adding a request to join this league and participate? Looking forward to joining legitimately and racing with you guys like I have in the past. Thank you guys. See you on the track Tex, AJK and Klutch?

Have a great weekend folks...

Regards
Steve

@oharabr19

Here's your official S.N.A.I.L. Welcome Post!

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by 23:59 EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. Send a PSN friend request to the Race Director or Primary Host from your assigned SNAIL Division. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below. Now if you've actually read this, post a :dunce: in this thread.

6. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.
If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.

We are looking for drivers interested in driving tuned racecar mockups from the street cars on the game. Races take place every other Friday at 9:00 PM. We would love to have you join. Click on the banner for more information.

So I'm a day late, but:

My first Sunday in SNAIL and my first online race on my wheel. GTR on Deep Forest in D7, the first corner woes.

I remember that race, all too well. I was actually just ranting to @Rangerlife a couple days ago about how much of a mess that combo was for me. I even edited/posted this GIF in this thread afterwards:
