Good sportsmanship and honor are either a part of your personality or something that you are tought at a very early age. I've been a member of Snail for a little more than two months now. The first five weeks was awesome. All five earned me five 2nd place finishes over all, 7 wins, and 6 or 7 2nd place finishes. Now, after moving up in division's, I have not even placed higher than third. Each week since moving up, I have made more mistakes than I ever have. I'm trying my best just to stay out of the way and keep on the lead lap. But I would feel like a loser if I just gave up. The only way to be better, is to stick it out. I think people have more respect for you when they see you can't be broke by adversity. I look at it this way, each week I learn a new way not to be a idiot on the track. So just remember, your only quitting on your self when you back out or give up!

We've all been there and you have shown you have the skills to be up front. Sometimes it's a matter of a combo not working for someone.

Last week, I did so bad, it was embarrassing. We only had 8 drivers, and I had a 1st and 4 8ths. Not enough practice and combo's that didn't suit my driving style contributed to that, but I stuck with it, until the last race when I just parked it and waited out the race.

Then last night, I felt much better. Still a bit under-practiced, but I managed to not be so bad. The main thing is to not get down on yourself. You (and everyone else) is in the division they are in for a reason and each one is competitive. Stick with it.

Just remember folks. As serious as we are about racing, it's still just a game for many.

I haven't been one to respond to your tactics, but for this one, I will.

Yes, it's a game. Does that mean that we don't care about it? Does that mean that we do things that have a negative effect on others? This game we play has a different stroke(s) for different folks. If you're only here to win, then you're setting yourself up for disappointment. There will only be a small number that win races, less than will win a league night, and even fewer that will win a season title. Set an appropriate goal and work toward that.

At this point, that goal should be finishing a night. Accomplish that consistently and you'll at least be in a better position to finish well. You can't win, if you don't play.

double since unrelated (separate the likes and dislikes...)

Consistently being last in a race is the most depressing thing about even being a part of this or any competitive online game. Part of being a human being is being able to take the good with the bad, and having the grit to see it through until the situation changes somehow. Either you learn from your mistakes and become better (which doesn't work for me much :/) or get relegated and find your happy place elsewhere.

One thing I personally appreciate is someone not just parking it or quitting, but still taking the laps. It's more practice for them, an opportunity to gain ground if others spin out, and most importantly: it avoids the extra wasted minute and a half of staring at the results screen for everyone that did finish...

Hear hear, chevron. Even if you are all the way out, racing hard to the end is a matter of respect to the other racers.

Yesterday, as we were all getting smoked by syntorz at the Nurburgring, he kept running hard and won with a big margin in both races, never letting up. And, before the Disconnected from Server monster ended my running twice, I inherited a 2nd place at the Nurburgring because I kept giving chase even though there wasn't enough time to catch up. Once (I think) Hellbringer put one wheel in the grass for a split second coming into that last straight in front of me, I was able to get a jump on him and come home in 2nd. Doesn't feel as good as catching him on track, but those are the breaks.

Wow, they cars aren't even cold and you have all the data posted. Awesome job.

@Dragonwhisky was on the ball getting the notice out that the sheet had been copied before I even turned the engine off on the SLS AMG!

These stats are my favorite. Thing to look and thanks @Falango

Glad you like them! It's fun coming up with them. Keep up the awesome speed. It's fun trying to keep up lol.

Hurray!!!! I really enjoyed Midfield. It will add to the fun, short tracks that we have. I wonder if the hill will be shaved down a bit though. If I remember, high powered cars would get good airtime out of the tunnel, through the fast, flatout S, then over that crest.

On this rage quitting topic I thought it was frowned upon in snail? Also people that park in illegal spots on the track??

Since you asked, this is taken directly from our OLR. It's pretty clear what a driver should do if they don't want to finish a race.

K: If a driver wants to retire from a race, the driver concerned must not exit the race. The driver must find a position on the track where the driver will not endanger other drivers, park their car by coming to a complete stop and turning on the emergency brake and wait for the race to end. If you do not come to a full stop and turn on the brake your car may drive on by itself

Anyone competing in one of these leagues is going to be taking it a little more seriously that "just a game" imo. If it is just for the sake of having fun, I will find a group that does silly things and uses mics the whole time. The nature of this group is competition. Yes we have fun while competing, but it I don't dedicate the time just to have fun. That is what my weekly BF4 sessions with friends are for.

Great fake track! That n GVS, imo only, are the two best fictitious circuits.
Heck yes!

Imo the city tracks are all well done, it's just those damn sticky walls that ruin good races...

Big fan of deep forest and trial mountain myself, but have also been driving my all-time favs: El Capitan and Seattle on my psvita!!!! Sony finally made the psp GT playable on Vita, nice to see some of the old stomping grounds..

broken peddle.jpg
My brake peddle on my Driving Force GT broke last night just before the races. I have heard people talk about upgrading there rigs.

Can I buy a new set of peddles? or just parts.
Will other models work with this wheel?

I know you can use G27 pedals witha little modification to the connector.

Wondering when mine might do the same. Felt a little wigging under the gas pedal last few times I've raced. Waiting to hear the snap. I already broke my right clamp from hand tightening it to a table top...
