Sorry I missed last night. Kido issues. Ugh. Anyway, not sure what I missed, so gonna do some reading. Seems the same cars are up again next week? If anyone is gonna get on tonight to practice/whatever send me a friend/ invite. g-MachineREX. Take care and talk soon.

Tim

I would be interested in getting together with other drivers (mostly newbies?) to free run and practice things like driving etiquette, maintaining control in tight formations while braking, etc. Would anybody else be interested in joining or leading such an activity? It's common for sports teams to run drills to learn techniques, and I don't see how driving is any different.

I'd be up for joining in with those....I've only raced 'online' twice and both of those have been the Wednesday nights with you guys so any tips would be great :)

I can start hosting on Monday's or Tuesdays, some practice sessions. The sooner I know the line up the better. So far we have the 10' camaro at Fuji f and the rx7 at Indy rc. I can have those two going tonight.

Sounds like there's plenty of interest in practice tonight. Whoever wants to host it, please post the open lobby room number on this thread so that any interested snails can join up. I'll try to join up as well, but it won't be until 10pm EST / 9pm CST at the earliest.

I can host tomorrow. I'll be hosting kind of early on the weekdays due to work. Can't host tonight I'm stuck with my nephew. I'll have a room up tomorrow sometime after 7CST

No worries at all. I have a 21-month-old so I totally understand. However, if you ever make it into Division1, please be sure to give us a heads up if you can't make it so that someone can take your spot.

You didn't miss much. It was only the best night of S.N.A.I.L. to date lol.

Nope, the beauty or our interactive format means that the least popular cars and tracks are removed from the line-up so the line-up is always different from week to week. Always check the second post of the thread to see what cars and tracks will be raced on the upcoming Sunday night. 👍

We do like our Chevys around the house. Currently we have three, a Silverado crew cab, a Tahoe, and a Trailblazer. In the past, I have been the proud owner of a '78 Camaro, '95 Camaro, '94 C1500, and '00 3500. My family also is heavy into dirt track racing and that involves the use of old Camaro/Firebirds to turn into hobby stocks.

Wednesday and Sunday are penciled into my weekly schedule, and I'd be happy to join in on other evenings/times when my availability/girlfriend will allow it. :)

I'm also going to work on saving and reviewing replays before claiming any particular incident happened during a race.

Cheers,

Dave\Esotic

Hey fellas, I'll be along g in about 30. I'll check here to see if a rooms open. If not, I'll host.

Thanks Rally! If you end up hosting, it might be a good idea to put "Spec Racing" in the title of the room. Tim (aka g-MachineREX) hosted a room called "practice" last night and a few snails joined up. However, a few other non-snails joined as well who were looking to work on their tunes. I think putting "Spec Racing" in the title would let people know that it's a Tuning-Prohibited room. Maybe something like "GTP Spec Racing" or S.N.A.I.L Spec Racing" 👍

I won't be on for a while yet....I'm breaking in the Camaro in b-spec so I'll still be an hour and a half or so. Plus the Canucks are playing giving me something to watch other than my bobs :)

Ok, I gotta pick up an amuse, then I'll have a room up.
Tez, none of my cars have been broke in yet, so Im not expecting much but practice tonight. After the practice, then I'll have my bob chipping away at the miles.

Ok fellas, I'm gonna rock this room for about 15 more minutes. If there's still no show, I'm gonna pack it up and turn my BOB loose for the night

I would like to join

Thanks for racing/practicing with us last night. Please proceed to Step 3 and 4 listed at the bottom of the original post. If you have time to complete these steps today, you'll be all set to race/practice with us again tonight. At the very least, be sure to complete those steps in time for Sunday night's league night. Let us know if you have any questions at all.

two cars got the BOB already since practice, the Rx7 will get done once Im home. I wasnt expecting such a difference in performance. You really gain quite a lot of horsepower after break in and an oil change.
Good racing last night though guys. I finially got the fast line through the bus stop down, and the Amuse is way better, all be bit not quite as "spirited" as the zr1, especially in the first corner at DRC. I'll try to be on for practice tonight to. Im hoping D1 is as exciting as last nights races. There where some great battles.

Yeah, a lot of people don't realize the difference it makes until they try to race their unbroken-in cars against cars that have already been broken-in. That's why I include breaking-in your cars as a required step a the bottom of the original post. The whole purpose of this league is to complete against cars with identical performance, so not breaking-in your cars defeats that purpose.

Speaking of which, I've just sent D1 invites to the drivers who've been promoted this week (racefan78, you, and me). Be sure to join the Division1 lounge on Sunday night instead of my lounge. Keep in mind that the Division1 account won't be online, so there won't be that small orange icon next to the coffee cup 'Lounge' icon. Please just enter it anyways since that's where the D1 races will take place. 👍

Question: Last night the most balls-out drivers were going 2-wide at the Bus Stop at Daytona RC. That seems pretty dangerous to me so I usually give up the line for fear I'll spend some time in a wall. What do you guys think?

I can tell you for sure, I found out the hard way that doing that in the ZR1 is a BAD idea...
