@nmcp1 I just gifted myself the F40. :D Did you get the LMP? I really like the classic Mini too and I just saw they have the V-dub bus! Sweet! I'll never get a driving rig at this rate.... :)

Nice! I ended up going the ebay route and scored this discontinued model:

The S2000 Combo is a real keeper. Difficult like the F40, but in a totally different way.

There certainly are people who won't like it after their first ride, but please give it another chance to impress. It's perfect when you're in the right gears

👍👍

Just like the Alfa Romeo at Indy, it's not the best potential for either car or track. The car is not bad, but at a track like Monaco you can't stretch it's legs and really hang loose. Monaco is not bad but with this car it's so much tighter and sphincter clenching. So the S2000 at a more open track would be ideal to allow room and something with less power but still nimble would fly around Monaco. Makes sense? Personally, I'd love the S2000 at Silverstone International and the LCC Rocket at Monaco. Make it look like a vintage race :)

The s2000 at silver stone is way to similar to the sls amg at silver stone I was going for something edgier less forgiving but more controllable then the f40@monza for example. Like mike said it takes some time getting used to it. But once you do it's a power packed fun and intense race. I wanted racers to be able to jump all over mistakes (hence the extra pwr)I also wanted mistakes to only hinder not destroy a win opportunity. I feel like I was able to accomplish that. There are obviously many factors involved in picking a combo. I won't please everyone. But hopefully some of you will see what I am seeing.
Imo so far I'm pretty happy with how it's played out. I will say this practice time is necessary (I thought due to the extra week I would have over come that concern ).

That's twice now you make a positive comment about a combo pick in recent weeks, without even a single complaint on how it could be better...and more importantly (and something most people don't see) you have not received a single IR in an entire season.

...could it be that our Penguin has turned a flipper and is a new man...err...Penguin?

Seriously though, I haven't raced with you since your return, but I have noticed a difference in your attitude, and I have heard good things from a couple people that have raced with you. So kudos for that. Hopefully, if you keep it up, you will eventually live down the forum jokes based on your history.

What are you laughing at?

Me...for being an optimist.

Not even a day into the new year...

Could. Not. Resist. :)

It should be fun, just requires more practice than usual. Nothing wrong with that. Maybe we can have a practice night tonight since last night everyone was a bit occupied

We had a few guys out last night practicing. I think at one point we had 8 or 9 guys on track. It was fun too and some good info shared by the higher divisional guys.

Happy New Year SNAILs !

the problem with Monaco and car like this is that you can run the cleanest laps but be easily collected in other's mistakes. There is really no room to maneuver anywhere...

Here's a SALUD! SALUD! SALUD! to all the Stewards!:bowdown::odd:

Happy New Year Snails!

From what i can tell from the pictures, getting into pole position will be key for Sunday Night. Being careful of the tight left corner, the chicane turn after the tunnel and the sharp right hander before the start/finish line. Will be a challenge being in the S2000.

Season 6 Round 2 votes have been compiled and a new car has been chosen. The Ford Sierra RS500 has been dropped in favor of the Ford Mustang Boss 302R1. This weeks races and future provisional races are now posted.

For those SNAILS not currently competing in WRC events, we will be holding another "unofficial official practice" this evening @ 9:00pm EST. If you've got a shiny new PS4 and Project Cars feel free to come take a sip of the WRC Kool-Aid. :) Send me a FR and I'll be sure to send you an invite. See ya tonight!

I need to try this game out. I bought it last year in June and for what ever reason simply didn't bother to play it. How does it differ from gt6 ?

It looks and SOUNDS fantastic. The physics are far more realistic, which makes it much more challenging. Car control requires the same knowledge learned in GT, but requires far more finesse. In short, it makes GT feel like sim-cade. In truth, it's not even fair to compare the two.

Really? I guess it would need to be the next level being on a ps4 sounds like it might be worth actually trying it out. Can you modify cars? Enough to at least make it your own version. I'm guessing it's more about the driving experience then car features/mods.

Nope, no modifying. PCARS is all about the racing experience. Send me a PSN friend request and you can join us tonight if you're not busy. 👍 The WRC is a spec series similar to the Sunday series.

Do you use a wheel or controller?

As far as I heard you cant modify like in GT6, but you can change livery and add tune. Not in a way like GT6 where you can add exhaust or a turbo. Might want a confirmation from someone who actually owns the game. Thats just how I hear it is when my friends tell me and what ive seen on youtube.

I would be using a racing wheel. I'll send you a friend request from my phone and try and get free for tonight what time are you thinking ? What's your gamer tag ?
