@JamCar0ne kept me on my toes during both races with the understeer fest that is the RCR Civic. Great driving, I had very little room for error !

I tried to submit a steward incident (on myself) but on the snail form i am not on the list to select id? Could someone file a incincident on my behalf? i could provide all details pertinent. Thank you . great night of racing
Having an issue with the form at the moment. Working on getting the driver lists updated on it but the scripts that used to do it aren't working and I'm having trouble locating where its getting data from. Anyone know anything about it please PM or DM, or whatever it's called these days, me at your earliest convenience. Otherwise,

  4. Kgffty ------------ voted to eliminate Round 3 - Prize A
  5. Xrad-11 ----------- voted to eliminate Round 2 - Prize B
  6. JamCar0ne --------- voted to eliminate Round 2 - Prize C
  7. Dragonwhisky ------ voted to eliminate Round 3
  8. RacingChamp30 ----- voted to eliminate Round 2
  9. Gurney_67 --------- voted to eliminate Round 3
  10. A_Mindful_Place --- voted to eliminate Round 3
  11. Canoworms1 -------- voted to eliminate Round 1
  12. TokenTimmy -------- voted to eliminate Round 1
  13. Unsteddie --------- voted to eliminate Round 3
  14. cesarr64 ---------- voted to eliminate Round 1
  15. Skills_19657 ------ did not submit a vote
The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Garage RCR Civic (RH) at Kyoto Driving Park Yamagiwa+Miyabi Reverse - S13 Afternoon (6 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Kgffy wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Mazda Roadster Touring Car (SS) at Suzuka Circuit Full Course - S01 Afternoon (7 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Xradkins gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @JamCar0ne so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and/or tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.

Car Selection Guidelines
See Section 3 of the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines.

Track Selection Guidelines
See Section 3.1 of the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines

The snap oversteer on street cars with slick tires has been toned down quite a lot in a recent update.
Well, that might be a good thing for that Maverick @JamCar0ne picked out. That thing is a monster. Short shifting and throttle feathering will be the order of that round. It don't wanna turn very well either. Braking late will likely have you in the kitty litter. We won't get anywhere near it's top speed at Suzuka. BTW, just for giggles, while I was setting up the warmup lobby settings, I took it for a spin. Only got 2 maybe 3 clean laps out of 7 but I did drop a sub 2:05.

Monster indeed... The WRS ran this some time ago on Sport Medium tires and it was an absolute blast! The car handles much better than you would expect. Per SNAIL rules, we'd never be able to get this one on sport tires, but I still think the tire rule needs adjusting. The crossover from sport to racing tires should be closer to 600pp.

+1, I certainly wouldn’t oppose more street cars on street tires but the last change helped a lot.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to incorrect lap time for the Celica/Michelin combo, we ran an incorrect amount of laps last week resulting in a 19 minute race.
Lap time has been corrected for the combo. Please note, we will run 10 laps for Combo 1 this week. Original lineup post has been corrected to show correct laps.

So that means everyone was DQ from prizes right?

Worth mentioning, I have little time during the week to check for lap times. It is incredibly helpful for a driver to post a time, if they can, so I can enter it correctly. Reviewing the original post, it looks like a typo, so there was no way for me to verify. My mistake, no DQ'ing neccessary

Hi.
I've read the first post and would like to join.
Learned about Snail from doing the monthly MPC series.
Thanks
@Nyati_Jumapil

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add zer05ive, JLBowler, nmcp1, SAMHAIN85, llNovall & Akzl298
as participants.

The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

I am happy to announce, @Akzl298 and I, with help from ChatGPT, were able to get the script that populates/updates the SNAILIRR form driver's names fixed. It appears the data streams all the way from the source successfully. Please take note, it sorts the names alphabetically by uppercase letters first, then lower case letters. This means, if the PSNID you provided us the last time you "activated" your SNAIL membership is all lower case, your name will be in the bottom group. We're looking into getting the list sorted case insensitive.
