In Div 5:
I have the 2011 #24 Chev broken in and the 2010 #48 avail for practice tonight.
Was wondering when this combo would arrive.

All the cars are the same from what I've read with the only exception being is some of the very first available nascars were able to achieve more than 892 hp so i think there needs to be a hp limit for sunday.

2010 Nascars are not all the same. The Fords and the Toyotas have identical setup numbers but the Chevys have a different stock spring rate front and rear. I'm working on the 2011s right now.

hello fellow SNAILS. i had to bail out of last sun races because my DFGT peddles stopped working. BUMMER. i don't know if i will be able to race this sun or not but i will rejoin D4 ASAP. a lot of great drivers in D4 right now. is the G27 the best rig for the money?

Yes! The G27 is the best for the money!

Love me some m&m's. Kyle Busch #18 Camry
Edit: this one has chasis reinforcement so I'm gonna choose Carl Edwards 99 fusion

To further clarify the earlier post. The three Hendrick owned Chevys have different spring rates. The #42 and #14 Chevys share the same spring rate as the 2010 Ford and Toyota.

2011s are identical from brand to brand. Chevy, Ford, and Toyota all have the same setup numbers which are identical to the numbers from the 2010 Hendrick Chevys. The 2011 #14 that shows as 631 pp in the dealership (the rest show 630) shows up the same once it's in the garage. All the 2011 and 2010 show 626 pp with 0 miles and no oil change with the exception of the 2011 Fords which show the same hp and weight but only 625 pp. I don't know what the numbers would be after break in.

All of the 2011s have identical hp, weight, suspension, and gearing setups to each other. There seems to be an oddity is the pp numbers assigned to each one though. I would suggest limiting it to just the 2011 cars as the Fords, Toyotas, and non Hendrick Chevys do have different spring rates than the 2011s.

I am putting in my claim for the #99 Ford made popular by Carl Edwards.

I'm showing same PP, HP n Springs same for '11 Chevy, Ford, n Toyota after oil change. Safe to assume it will remain same after break in???

NASCAR??? REALLY??? Give me a break!!!
I thought that wasn't the snail spirit at all. I'm European, i know nothing about Nascar or oval racing. Tricks, strategies or even be in the draft without flying through someone!
I'll do it but i'm voting it off with a passion!

There's always a time to learn! It's more fun than you think it is. You're running EXTREMELY close at VERY high speeds.

If you want a quick rundown on the basic technique it's as simple as don't use the brakes and don't counter-steer as much as normal otherwise you're going to snap back the other way. Use the corners to scrub off speed and don't be afraid to use the throttle to get the car to turn.

Looooong story short "remember this car is HEAVY"

I can understand your dislike of it, but don't rag it until you've tried it with other good drivers. I hated it until I met some guys online that have a 50-100 lap race every week. It taught me a lot about car control and not being afraid of those little bumps you get from other cars.

You're a good driver you'll be ok.

Edit: the other combo was moved to Nürburg gp. I can't remember which one.
Super edit.
Prize B selection

Gran Turismo 350Z RS @ Nurburgring GP/D

This should make passing easier and more frequent than on Deep Forest. 👍

I'm kinda sad to miss this week with the Toyota, I really hope it stays for one more week.:nervous:

Am with you on this I really dont see what the fun is driving round & round in circles especially on a game!

It's like baseball or golf or bowling, or hurling or curling or any other sport that is boring as crap to watch. It's much more fun when you're doing it. I am by no means a NASCAR fan, even by a stretch, but when your cruising at 200mph in a draft line with 3 other cars all nose to tail, it gets the adrenaline going. Trust me fellas, once you give it a go, you will see where the excitement is, especially if your in a dog fight on the last couple of laps.

Anything is boring if you don't do it fast enough.

For example,
driving to work = boring
driving to work at 90 mph = fun, scary but fun

Yuuuuuup. I honestly only watch it for the sound. Makes doing my Sunday chores more interesting when I run around the house. I normally act like a race car, but now I actually have sound effects.

To anyone skeptical of Nascar I'll tell you that 8/10 of the best races I've ever had have been on an oval.

you know how many racers would say racing online is boring. i had my thoughts when i started and there is a lot more than what most people think it is. my adrelaine is pumping when snail racing all night

granted I'm not a nascar fan but hey it's a motorsport so it's better than table tennis

Hopefully this weekend goes like the good nascar races and There's an epic catastrophic crash worth re watching and a giant fight is started. NASCAR isn't like finesse euro style racing, it's emblematic of 'Merica. Don't be surprised if you get the sudden urge to fight, shoot guns, and eat steak mid-race
