So it looks like:

Scion FR-S '12 @ Eigerwand Short Track (SHard)
Mazda Roadster TC @ GP/D (RHard)
NASCAR 2011 (from list) @ SuperSpeedway Daytona (RMed)

Correct? (Scion is still avail for download to all? That is the only question I have on it)

Looks like fun! I will start breaking them in shortly.

For the prize B selection...

Mazda Roadster TC...DLC car.

Thanks to those who helped with the testing tonight...I hope most of you will enjoy it.

Sandblazter

I thought that DLC cars were ineligible...

Oh, never mind.

I believe you are correct.

Last night, when I bought the FR-S, I noticed that it comes with SH tires by default. That might be the first time since I joined SNAIL where we're running the tires that came on the car. But wait! The probability gods aren't finished with us yet. I just bought the Roadster TC, and it comes with RH by default. :odd:

I'm actually pretty happy that there's (almost) no chance that I'll head out on to track with the wrong tires :)

And the NASCAR car comes with RM by default. Though I could be wrong about this. The one I have had RM on it already, and I never changed them. And the one that was sent to me of course already had RM on it.

Which NASCAR has NOT been seen in D5?

Man, just realized I have to break in all 3. :-(

The Mazda isin one of the Car Bundles. Zer0 has a link in post 1.

We need D1 replays uploaded please.

I will get them uploaded in a few minutes. I don't have the last race of the night. I saved it but something must have went haywire in the process and it only shows the first 30 seconds of the race when I watch it.

Roadster TC- 218hp / 484pp

Scion FR-S - 208hp / 413pp

NASCAR 892hp / 637-638pp

ATTENTION

I just wanted to make that you all saw this very important post from a few days ago. Without some help, there won't be a STaTS season in April. Please let it be known if you're willing to help organize and run STaTS or at least help hillracing with it.

On the other hand, if you're interested in running in STaTS but simply can't commit to helping run it, please let that be known too. I'd like to gauge the general interest level in an April STaTS season whether you can help with it or not.

Interested in Running it; but cannot commit to help out as time is a commodity now.

Man, that is a find right there. That guy was a nut. Never in my life would I not be able to drive that car!

My broken-in Roadster TC is only 213 hp / 484 PP. Do you have any parts added?

My NASCAR is 892 hp / 637 PP

I did. The supercharger. Good catch. 213 is correct with it removed.

PP is 637. Although goat was at 638? HP was 800 and a lot!

Ohh, Ninja'd!

My Tony Stewart car is 638pp. My Red Bull is 637pp. I still took TQ in the race with the Red Bull. Not thinking there is a difference at all.

For the Vintage Corvette fans: http://www.vintagecorvettes.com/1967davis.html
In a garage for 45 years and seldom driven.

"The tires still have 1967 air in them!"

Hrmmmm.... I am wishing it were true.

Looks like I already have a broken in Mazda TC. Working on the Scion at the moment.

Were there many 2011 Joey Logano (orange) cars in D5 for the NASCAR races? I am breaking that in next.

The new combos seem like fun, missed last week so it'll be my first night with the NASCAR's
I'm still sad that the 2000GT was dropped. :nervous:

Another first, I'll be using the clutch (I'm a G27 user) for this sunday and see how it goes. Hopefully it won't be too much of a handicap.

Time to practice those heel and toe's !!!:sly:

No need, PD messed that up. No more clutch kicking for drifters either.

Welcome to the club! We should make some T-shirts or something.

What do you mean they messed it up? I haven't started heel/toe'ing yet, but one of the reasons I went to clutch and H-gate was so that I could learn and practice the technique without my real car suffering through the learning curve.

Well, maybe they fix it again in one of the more recent patches, but I believe back in maybe patch 2.09, when they claimed to have "fixed" the clutch, they made it sort of rev match on its own. Not like a lambo style rev match, where it matchs, and then drops into gear, but more like, you drop the clutch, and instead of getting tire "lock" where the tires are forced to now move slow then the speed of the car and thus dragging the tires (great for drifting) it just matches revs and nothing happens. you can heel toe I guess, but without really having the effects of missing your rev point, you wont know if you're hitting or missing the right spot. I'll see if I can find the post with more info on it.

Edit:
Ok, this is the best I could find. I do remember on either a drifting post or a tuner post that they said while it made it less likely to miss a shift, it also had the effect of rev matching without using the gas, as I mentioned above. I've not used the clutch much, though I am starting to use the H gate more. I'll take some time to experiment with this in the next few days I suppose.
