My pick is:

Scion FR-S @ Tsukuba Circuit

Most likely we will be at 9 laps around here.

I was thinking

• GVE Reverse but that long drafting straight can be a pain for people trying to pull a lead only to be passed or caught on that straight.

• Cape Ring South but it too has a few kinks that can ruin ones race and a long drafty straight.

• Monaco while this would prob my personal choice, I don't feel it has the groups best interest. Besides that chicane would be a stewards nightmare.

So Tsukuba with its smooth flow and decent width. Some places to make a run on exit and secure passes. Which will require some race craft.

Hope you guys enjoy it. I'm thinking we will.

Awesome choice. Would you consider include that chicane after the bridge left turn as we did before with the Toyotas?

Honestly thought about it. However with no barrier I opted against it. Wish PD would update us with that Moto GP version.

Tonight i raced in the oval race and That was some of cleanest, best racing I have been a part of in a long time!
Way to go everyone.

In comparison to other super car makers I would say that ssc cars are definately fairly priced, but outside of relation to other super cars... I find it hard to believe that unless you get a car made out of pure gold none are actually worth close to as much as they cost, but I don't know how much they cost to make

How do I join? I am a great fan of GT and I use a G27 wheel. I am a fairly good driver(lvl 37 playing since January this year and a year and a half on another ps3 in spain). I race for fun and to get the best laptimes, and I do not intentionally crash into anyone. I believe in clean racing, although a little bit of rubbing is racing, but generally I behave.

Hi roadhog2,
You've found the right place for a GT fan. JLBowler usually makes these welcome posts, but he's busy with stewarding duties right now. Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You run the Time Trial. (NOTE: The tires selected for this have more grip than our current tire regulations allow, but please follow the directions exactly anyways).
2. You PM kcheeb with your time from the time trial (no Sunday racing until this is completed).
3. We assign you to the division that we feel will give you the closest competition.
4. We send you a you a PSN friend request from the corresponding SNAIL_Division1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 account. That PSN account's lounge is where you will race on Sunday night.
6. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

Please note that we often race DLC from three add-on packs:

Racing Car Pack
Course Pack
Twin Ring Motegi Pack

If you don't have these add-on packs, you will need to sit out the races in which they are used.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, post your choices in this thread.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.

Can I join
Hi hawksfan2001,
Do you currently live in Australia? If so, you can still join as long as you understand that we'll be racing around lunch time on Monday there. Also, you'll have to prove that you have a solid network connection that doesn't cause lag due to the distance. If you're cool with all that, then here's what you need to know and do in order to join:

This will make dabney sooooo happy. :sly: ;)

It rates a "meh" from me. I won't openly hate on it. Like I said, it's the one I hate the least. I would just like to see PD add more tracks to the game. There's so so so so so many good real tracks, why bother with unrealistic fantasy tracks (Cape Ring in particular)?

Only fantasy track I will load up from my free will is GVR and its variants. I do like East Reversed.

All others only get seen when they are scheduled on a series. LoL

You are not alone on this anti-fantasy deal.

I also agree they could bring some more tracks. Heck even Seattle and Apricot Hill would be refreshing.

Not to pick at an old scab, but it's been pointed out to me that everyone who is or was in D2 that didn't prefer to start earlier the last time it was brought up, is now either not currently racing or is no longer in D2 (they're listed below in red).

And since all the other D2 drivers who voted expressed interested in starting earlier, I'd like to ask again if those currently assigned to D2 want to start racing 30 minutes earlier (9:30pm Eastern / 6:30pm Pacific) like D1, D4, and D5 started doing last month. So if you're currently assigned to D2, please state your preference one way or the other.

(Please note that this option is not on the table for D3 since all the current drivers who opposed an earlier start are in D3 at the moment. Sorry, Dragonwhisky!)

9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific (one hour earlier) - [number 1, 2, or 3] 1
10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific (our usual time) - [number 1, 2, or 3] 2
11pm Eastern / 8pm Pacific (one hour later) - [number 1, 2, or 3] 3

9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific (one hour earlier) - 1
10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific (our usual time) - 1
11pm Eastern / 8pm Pacific (one hour later) - 3

From one of the silent majority. The start time is just right (west coaster here)! We all have lives that are always changing. I for one, do not want to see these kind of changes here.

I look forward to the challenges in S.N.A.I.L to help with my race craft and hope others come here for the same. That brings me to my other thought, please tell me the rules are being applied for poor driving? I expect collisions from time to time, but hope the steward administer penalties as it has been so heavily stated up front when I joined 2 weeks ago (It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free. If you don't agree with this rule or don't think it applies to you, this is not the league for you.).
Rules are necessary for a civil society.

Hope to see a full room in D2 next week. So far I am have a great time! Thanks for the invite to S.N.A.I.L.

Sincerely,

9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific (one hour earlier) - 1
10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific (our usual time) - 2
11pm Eastern / 8pm Pacific (one hour later) - 3

9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific (one hour earlier) - [number 1, 2, or 3] 1
10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific (our usual time) - [number 1, 2, or 3] 1

9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific (one hour earlier) - 1
10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific (our usual time) - 1
11pm Eastern / 8pm Pacific (one hour later) - 3

9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific (one hour earlier) - 3
10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific (our usual time) - 2

9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific (one hour earlier) - 2
10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific (our usual time) - 1
11pm Eastern / 8pm Pacific (one hour later) - 3

You should have used a Google Doc to collect the votes zer0 ;)

EDIT: oops double post :(

for what it is worth:

9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific (one hour earlier) - 1
10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific (our usual time) - 2
11pm Eastern / 8pm Pacific (one hour later) - 100,000,000,000

I don't think we should change it if it takes out people who are committed and race regularly but if it was a perfect world, I would enjoy an hour earlier.

9pm Eastern / 6pm Pacific (one hour earlier) - 1
10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific (our usual time) - 2
11pm Eastern / 8pm Pacific (one hour later) - 3

That said, changing the time isn't my favorite idea. It would be rough to see people have to drop out who've been here so long.

Agreed, GVE-R is a good one. I'm on the opposite side of the fence when it comes to city courses. The only city course I don't like is London. Seattle would be great.

My response is the same as before. 9:30 is fine with me.

Put me down for 9:30! ...and while we're on the subject I'll make a plea for 9! :D

Can we get d3 30 minutes earlier?

And dgaf we gave you a lot of flack yesterday for your combo pick so I just wanted to make it clear if I didn't that I think your combo is perfect to me. I also don't have a problem with the imaginary tracks because this is imaginary driving. Hell, they have ipad apps with the real tracks more accurate than they are in gt5, free ones at that

Okay, thanks. Just wanting to make sure no D2 driver's schedule has changed in the past month.

Okay, you're down for 9:30pm, but don't get your hopes up about 9pm. ;)

Can we get d3 30 minutes earlier?

Nope, sorry. Every active drive who can't race earlier is in D3 right now.
